At this point, I was trembling. I didn't start over my life to end it this way.

"Who is Miss Yang among all of you?" he asked suddenly.

At the sound of my name from his mouth, my heart stopped beating.

I was still hiding my figure behind my tall co-worker in front of me while keeping my head down.

Everyone turned to look to point at me. "It's her!"Chul declared like the happiest and proudest person she was next to me while patting my shoulder.

I decided to take over my fear for once and look at that person to really check if it was him. It might probably be another person with a similar voice.

It might be another person with the same name....right?

This might be my imagination.

I might be hallucinating all of this.

But when I finally looked up, I saw the familiar eyes that I once found solace in, saw the person who was my greatest confidant once.

I saw the person who broke me apart It was definitely the same park jimin who turned my life upside down.

"Y/n" he mouthed in a confused and shocked state while his mouth was agape.

I was void of any expression while my body was shaking. I couldn't look into his eyes for a second more.

This was the only person I didn't want to see for the rest of my life.

This was the person I didn't want to see up until my death.

This was the person who I didn't even want my corpse to be near his presence.

But here I was, a few steps away from him.

He will probably ruin my life here as well.

He will probably ruin my dignity in front of everyone at the office.

He will probably tarnish my character here as well.

He will probably bring everyone back here.

At this point, didn't even notice Chul whispering to me and tapping my arm continuously.

People would think that the extreme stage of anger would be rage but it wasn't.

It was fear Fear that they will make you go through the same awful and painful experience once again.

That fear overpowered my rage. felt disgusted but more terrified. I started a new life to avoid this person and every single person from my post.

Out of nowhere, Chul shook me so strongly that came back out of my trance. Looking at her worried face and my other colleagues worried expressions.

I couldn't help but feel a bit relieved that had people who cared about me. I took a deep breathe and recomposed myself before saying the next words.

"I am Miss Yang, sir. Nice to meet you, Mr. Park" I stated in my usual tone with my professional smile while I bowed.

I didn't even look at him and kept my eyes fixed to Eun who gave me a smile back.

This time, everyone turned to look back at the boss. I didn't have to see his face to know his state.

Eun cleared her throat and tried calling him. "Mr. Park.. Mr. Park!"

"Y-yes, let's go to my office now" he spoke before turning back to go upstairs.

I could sense in the periphery of my eyes that he looked back at me but I didn't divert my eyes.

"What happened y/n? Are you alright?" Chul instantly asked me after they closed the door.

I never behaved this way during the 7 years I worked here.

"I-I'm okay, I was j-just a bit o-overwhelmed and s-stressed" replied back to her, with my voice cracking.

"You sure?" she asked me again with concern in her eyes, making me calm and smile softly at her before nodding and assuring her.

She and everyone in the floor looked at me with a warm smile. "Don't worry, it's okay to be nervous. Mr. Kim won't bite you haha!" They joked.

"We all thought you were this super confident girl, who knew you would be this you scaredy cat!"

"Come on, I'm not going to lie Mr. Park does look intimidating!"

all of them went back to their conversation of their own while my eyes went back to my desktop screen and my mind was in shambles.

That's when a call rang on my work landline.

"Miss Yang speaking, how can I help?"

"It's Eun speaking, Mr. Park would like to see you now in his cabin upstairs, please!"
