"Bye Eomma!" I said after leaving a peck on my mother's cheek.
"Take care and if you if need anything, call me. See you in the evening!....also behave nicely, okay! I don't want any complaints." my mother told me the usual dialogue she would say every single day before I left for school by the door while I was waving my hand at her. "Okay fine mom! Now byee...I love you.."
While I was walking down the street, waited at the corner of the alley for my friend, Jimin.
This has been our routine for the past few years. We both have been friends since middle school and literally saw each other grow up in front of our eyes.
Our families knew each other as well which allowed our friendship to bloom without any restrictions.
He was an extrovert while I was an introvert.
He always prioritised himself before anyone while I prioritised others before myself.
We had many arguments because of our contrasting personalities but that didn't stop us becoming close with one another.
We both knew each other's deepest secrets and we both shared the same interests.
We could talk to each other freely. This was our last year of high school and from there on, it was the beginning of adulthood.
I didn't know what to expect after that. It was scary, confusing and a bit exciting. While I was in a trance, I didn't notice Jimin walking up to me.
"Hey y/n"
"Hey, let's go" without any other words, we carried on walking down to school.
"Here, it's for you. Eomma gave it to me." I gave him a bottle of orange juice which my mom packed for me.
"Oh! Wow...ugh! I love her..." He spoke with a happy face.

"Well....I told her not to...like you know, she shouldn't waste time on this but still.." I pressed my lips into a thin line, trying hard not to laugh while teasing him.
"Yaaa... that's mean you know?" He pouted. Aww. You finally bursted into laughter seeing him all pouty.
"I am just kidding chim...you know how much loves you, right? Maybe more than me.." I joked and both of us laughed.
My mom was very fond of Jimin. She always gives me something to give to him in my lunch box whether it was a dish, dessert or drink. It was yet another routine of ours.
"Ahh! But thank you!" he excitedly grabbed the bottle and gulped in one go while I giggled looking at him.
"What do you plan on doing after graduation?" I asked.
Since it was the final year, we had to know our plan beforehand and to be completely honest, I didn't have a clue on what to do.
"I'm going to university. What about you?"
"Probably the same.." I shrugged casually, while kicking the stones.
"Y/niee, I found out what you are interested in... Then we can either go to the same university depending on the course or go to universities that are in the same town so that we can be together!" he told me happily.
"Really?"
"Yes!!" he ruffled my hair and we both ended jogging happily to school.
I don't know what the future holds but if I have Jimin by my side, I know that I will never feel alone.
As long as he was next to me, I know he would protect me and nothing bad would happen to me.......
...right?

He sighed slightly, making goosebumps rise up on my arms."I have tattoos in a lot of other places you might want to see..." Oh. My. God. He was trying to kill me, burn me alive from the inside out. All I could do was squeak and shove my face into my hands. He laughed loudly and picked me up, swinging me out of the car and putting me down on my feet."Adorable."
