After what seemed like hours of running, I finally managed to lose Takuya. But I had to keep running as whenever I thought I lost him, he would appear. So I had to keep running until I knew I was completely safe.

As I ran, I turned the corner and spotted the back of someone's head, someone I knew, some I had just met.

"AZUMA!" I yelled his name, running towards him. He turns with a shocked expression, his eyebrows raised with his eyelids fully open, expressing his beautiful miss coloured orbs.

"[Name]? What's the matter?-"

"Azuma! You have to help me! Can I go to your house?! Please! That's the last place he'll look as long as he doesn't know where you live!"

Azuma stared at me stunned, as if to be completely lost.

"If you're in danger of course, but what's going on?"

"I'll tell you later! But we have to hurry please! If he catches me, he'll kill me!"

Azuma's jaw dropped but his face soon squinted into a determined frown.

"Come on."

He grabbed my arm and we both ran in a different direction. Just in time as I heard Takuya shouting come closer. If we had waited any longer, he would have caught me.

Once we finally arrive as Azuma's house, I felt safe. His house was more secluded than I expected. Hidden away on its own. I doubt Takuya would find me here.

We both stand panting after running so much, me especially. Azuma made sure to lock all the doors and windows, making sure all entry was impossible.

"Th-Thank you. Azuma." I said between gasps of air as I lean forward, resting on my thighs. It hurt my back to bend so much but I needed to rest.

"Th-That's quite alright. D-Didn't you say, someone was af-after you?" He asked, once again, between gasps of air. His house was quite far away from where I saw him, it made me wonder what he was doing so far out. He has plenty of space around his house to go for a walk.

"It's.. it's a long story. Most of the detail, I c-can't go into, but, long story short. My boyfriend.. I mean, my Ex boyfriend. Is trying to kill me." I had to take a pause after saying Takuya was my boyfriend. Were we really boyfriend and girlfriend? Or was I just his possession? I never knew if our night together meant we were going out after..

"Trying to kill you? Why?" Azuma finally managed to catch his breath, I however were still short but I was able to finally talk normally too.

"He said, he only wanted me to myself.. he admitted to killing off my friends so it could just be me and him. He said that he only has 2-" I cut myself off after the sudden realisation hit me. 2 people left to kill off. One was Azuma, my new friend.. the other must be..

"Oh my god! My mother!"

"What? Your mother?"

"He said he only has to kill 2 more people for us to be alone. He said that one of them was my new friend, meaning you. The other must be my mother!

Azuma I have to help her! I know my relationship with her can be pretty shit sometimes but she's my mother!"

My body slumped to the floor as I began to panic, hugging myself as my arms wrapped around me, holding onto the opposite shoulder. Azuma crouched down beside me, I could feel his warm eyes looking at me.

"[Name], I will help you save your mother. But right now he is out there looking for you. You can't risk going out there now..

Besides, your mother is much older, I'm sure she will know how to defend herself against him begin as he is our age."

His words were comforting but he didn't know the truth about Takuya.

"You don't know him like I do.. he's, not normal.."

Azuma's face shifted into a confused expression, raising one of his eyebrows and the other lowers.

"What do you mean?-"

"Azuma. I need to know. Can, can you keep a secret? If I tell you about him, I need to know that I can trust you with the information and that you won't tell anyone?"

I watched his face sternly as he closed his eyes and nodded.

"Of course."

I exhaled deeply, taking deep breathes. I was about to betray Takuya's trust and tell someone his secret, I needed to prepare my body to possibly feel regret afterwards.

"[Name]. It's okay. Your secret will be safe with me, I promise." He spoke kindly as he places his hand on my shoulder. His placement was off slightly which cause my fingers to be laid under his palm.

"It's not really my secret.. it's his.

I sighed once I spilled about Takuya, but I managed to keep his name a secret. At least I can hide his identity for now until it's needed urgently.

I heard Azuma sigh, watching as he stands, moving from my side and crouches down again, but this time, directly in front of me.

His eyelids were no longer fully opened but I couldn't tell if his expression meant sorry, disbelief or anything. I was too worked up to tell,

"You do believe me? Don't you Azuma?"

I ask as my eyes started to fill with tears. My body shook and I felt like I could burst out crying at any moment.

"I do."

He reached out one of his arms, grabbing my hand that was placed on my shoulder, grabbing the other one straight after. Cupping them both in his warm grasp. Squeezing them lovingly.

"I believe you [Name]." He nodded. Although he believed what I said, I couldn't hold back the tears anymore. I began to cry heavily, pulling out of his grip but swinging my arms around his neck, pulling myself close as I hug him tightly. He returned the embrace, wrapping his arms around my lower back as I kneel into the hug, he remained in his crouched position.
