The outs and the ins.

The cracked and the broken.

The loving and the honesty.

For once, to one person I let myself be true.

And maybe I didn't exactly think it through.

I felt so hopeless at the time.

I just needed someone.

And that someone happened to be you.

I told you all about me.

The easy and the hard.

The ugly and the beauty.

Every single one of my scars.

And now looking back on that fragile little girl.

I know I made a mistake,

when I let you into my world so easily.

And how I let you take the lead in my very own earth.

And how painfully human of you to destroy my planet,

right from the inside.

There was once a moment in time where I said that I couldn't live without you.

Where I thought that my beauty was only there once you saw it in me.

But although I learned and my planet has thrived without you.

I still wish that I never opened up the way I did.

My forests have grown back but the charred ground still peaks through.
