《A dangerous game.》17

Hi loves.
Lana walked through the halls on the first day back. It was still cold as she had a cashmere coat on flowing down her body. Her heart was beating out of her body because of how nervous she was. She finally took a shower last night and brushed her hair. She felt better today, she did but she also was really regretting doing all of that and just going back to her dorm.
As her hand gripped the cold metal on the door she took a deep breath before walking in. Almost everyone had already sat down, their chairs were turned around as smiles appeared across their faces from their conversations. Chatter around the room filled with 'I got this' and 'you won't believe what I did' Lana rolled her eyes walking up the isle not even noticing the professor sitting at his desk.
He's never early.
He's never hear before class starts and Lana didn't even make eye contact with him by being distracted by everyone. Her hands clutched the desk at the top setting her books down as the professor watched her carefully.
He studied her every move as she sat down in the chair pulling her books out. Her newly painted nails shinned against the light as she gulped not wanting to look up knowing that the professor was staring right at her.
"So I hope we all had a great break.. write a poem on how it was. I want it deep and emotional everyone, I expect just that." He said loudly as Lana looked up finally but the professors eyes weren't on her, they were scanning the class as he spoke.
"I have a question." A girl said in the front as she raised her arm catching the professors attention.
"Yes."

"What if we did nothing, how do we write about that." She pouted putting her chin in her hands as he smirked.
"Oh I am sure you can make up something, think of doing nothing as loneliness or love . You did nothing and you had no one with you, that's kind of like being being in love and then it stops. Make a deep poem of love, I am sure many in this room could make that." He darted his eyes around landing on Lana before taking a deep breath as Lana pinched her lips into a line turning her eyes back down.
How could he say that? She thought. He loves me?
Her face looked over seeing Harry not in his seat. He wasn't there. She wasn't concerned but it's weird that he wasn't there.
Malfoys eyes saw Lana peering over in the distance to Harry's seat and he decided to do something about that "And one more thing, acrostic guy has transferred classes and will no longer be with us." He announced as Lanas face turned confused.
Why would he leave the class, that makes no sense? Harry always hated classes but would never go to the extreme of transferring.
"Now write." He concluded as he walked around his desk sitting down. His quill hit his parchment as a blank expression was plastered across his face. Lana knew something was wrong with her professor, she knew something happened other then him and her but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. She didn't know what had made him so angry or passive aggressive against everyone because it's definitely not her and she needs to find out.
As class concluded, the whole time the professor would shot looks at Lana. Her eyes would look up when his looked down. It was back and fourth for the last hour when finally class was over.

It's fine Lana, you care about him, just because you two broke up doesn't mean you guys can't be in contact. Lana told herself over and over again as she walked down the isle slowly as everyone poured out of the classroom.
She looked around, everyone is gone, as the professor was still writing. "Draco." She spoke walking to the desk but he didn't look up.
"Lana." He replied as she gulped clutching the desk rocking back and fourth a bit.
"It's everything okay? I mean of course not associating with us but besides that is everything okay?" She asked as he finally looked up meeting eyes with the girl he so deeply cares about.
He stood up towering over the girl as she suddenly felt small "You, Lana Owens are something else you know that right?" He muttered as he packed up his papers quickly.
"We aren't in a fight Draco I was just asking-"
"And I could care less because the last time I saw you, before you broke up with me, I recall you wanting to resume what we were doing that night? didn't you miss Owens," she nodded slowly as he moved around the desk now standing in front of her "It really is a shame that we couldn't resume it but if you don't already know, I get what I want and you are just that." He spoke as his hand glided over her cheek as she looked down at it.
"Draco why are you doing this, I told you we can't be together." She stated trying to keep her cool as she looked back up at the man.
"I am very aware of that. And quite frankly I could care less so miss Owens what's it going to be? Hm? Love or life." He spoke softly picking up his bag so quickly she didn't even see as he walked down the isle before opening the door and walking out leaving Lana standing at the desk.
What will it be Lana? Loving Draco and having a future with him? Or having a future but without him?

The Last Marshal
Weird West Fantasy Noir Once the Republic Marshals brought order to the chaotic lands along the Frontier, facing dangers both human and supernatural with ancient wisdom and a six-gun —but that was a long time ago. Destroyed by conspiracy and betrayal, all that remains of that secretive order is one nameless man on a trek though the West seeking revenge on the woman he blames for the Marshals' fall and his disgrace. When a visitor from our world joins him on his journey, they together must confront the horrors of a strange land, the mysteries of the past and the real meaning of their quest for justice. The world of Tellus is what 19th Century Earth would have looked like if the stories of Poe, Ambrose Bierce, Lovecraft and William Hope Hodgeson were real. History in this world moves slower. The old faiths persist and civilization never conquered the dark corners of the map, at least not without being inextricably changed. Technology and culture takes a little longer to evolve in this land, as people here tend to spend more time pursuing their elaborate revenge plots or trying to avoid being the next sacrifice to the Outer Gods rather than advancing science or statecraft. Imagine Cormac McCarthy by way of Edgar Rice Burroughs, though a little less testosterone-drenched than that description would imply. Three caveats: First, there are deep mysteries here, including how such a world came to be and who controls it. Second, this world is not wholly unconnected from our own. There is a historical point of divergence, but in the distant past. To paraphrase Twain: history in this world is not a repeat of our own, but it does often rhyme. And finally, this is not a setting that lends itself to happy endings.
