《A dangerous game.》16

For the next two weeks of winter break Lana didn't leave her room unless it was to go out and get some air, but by then she would just open the window. She didn't know what to do or who to talk to.
She had no one to talk to.
No one to see.
She wanted to call blaise or Theodore. She wanted to talk to them. But the only thought going through her mind was what if Draco found out she was in his apartment with his best friends.
Really the only thought going through her mind the whole time was Draco. Him. It was all she could think about.
The car. The poker game. His touch on her skin. His lips on her collar bone. Him taking her to breakfast or dinner.
It was the only things going through her mind and the worst of it was is that she tried and tried so hard to stop it, to get him out of her fucking mind and let her be at peace. She just wanted one thought that wasn't him and his smile that you would see every now and then.
She never did this with Harry. And maybe that's because right after she had a person for her and a person that helped her forget him. But now, now she has no one. No one to help her forget Draco Malfoy.
Rachel would stop by once a week to get a few things but they wouldn't dare say any words. She glided in and went right back out. It was like Lana wasn't even there as Rachel her best friend ignored her.
She didn't want to do anything but lay in bed but she needed more books to read since she had read her emotions out in romance books she once had in life.
Her heals clicked against the pavement of the street as her black hoodie draped over her head. Her plaid pants that she put on because she wanted to look a bit decent. Her thin gold glasses she only ever wears once a year sat on her nose as little pieces of hair framed her face.

She spotted the bookstore that she had first had her encounter with her professor. She dipped her head down walking in as the bell dinged at the top welcoming her in.
The lady behind the desk she had seen 6 months ago stood behind the desk but her little blonde bob had grown out a bit. A smile across her face as she welcomed Lana. "If you need any help just ask." She nodded as Lana thanked her going through the bookshelves.
Books piled the walls, they almost were falling out of the bookshelves if Lana touched one. It's just like she likes it.
Her feet glided her to the romance section as her slender fingers rubbed across the spines of different books. She looked on the dust jackets skimming over the words to the beautiful love story that was placed on the page.
She used to love the romance books because she was living it. The little dates the guy would surprise the boy with. The charming smiles men would give the girl. The perfect love story that everyone can have.
But now she loves them because it reminds her of what she had and how amazing Draco treated her. The flowers on rainy days, the little dates, the charming smiles. It all brought her back and it just reminded Lana of how lonely she actually is and was even with Draco Malfoy.
The door chimed open as lanas head whipped up but she couldn't see the person so she continued looking. Her hands brought books to her chest that she thought would suit her romance needs.
As footsteps approached her, a familiar scent. "Lana?" Someone asked beside her as her head turned to the person next to her.
He had tighter black pants on with a tan jacket that hung down his body. His hair flopped against his forehead as he smiled "Theo? What are you doing here?" Lana asked as Theodore turned into a bigger smile stepping close to Lana pulling her in for a hug.

"Why haven't you called?" Theodore asked Lana as she clutched the books closely afraid of this question.
"Um I just haven't really- I am sorry I really am I just haven't been the best." She nodded as his expression turned into a frown. His smile faded away as his body relaxed.
"Are you okay?" He asked softly as she turned looking down the isle of books in front of her wanting to run away from this conversation but she couldn't.
"Yeah I am great." She said as she looked back to see Theodore frowning even more.
"Lana.. I know what not okay looks like." He breathed as she let out a deep breath too pushing her lips into a thin line.
"No I am not okay." She admitted as he pulled her closer again pushing her head to his chest.
"Come on let's pay for these and we can go somewhere else and talk hm?" He lifted her back up as Lana nodded before he took the books in his hands walking to the desk.
"Oh I can-"
"No it's fine," he said before turning his attention back to the lady behind the counter "Just these thank you." He pushed the books to her as she smiled sweetly scanning them.
As they walked out of the shop Theodore led her to his car opening the door for her as she got in.
"Okay I am going to cheer you up for a certain amount of time." He nodded as she smiled a bit before he pressed the gas and driving down the road.
As Lana and Theodore laughed in the car with their ice cream she couldn't stop smiling. Her feet were propped up on the seat as she ate with him playing music.
After Theodore finished laughing Lana smiled "Thank you Theo." She said taking another bite as he smiled.
"You are welcome Lana, you know you could have always stopped by or called me. Me and blaise would have been happy to do this." He said as she chuckled setting her ice cream down in the cup holder.
"I haven't left my dorm in two weeks other then this so I don't think that would have happened." She laughed as he frowned a bit but she kept laughing "And I have to go back to school! And see him every single fucking day of my life." She laughed even harder but Theodores face kept turning sad as time grew on.
"I am sorry Lana." He said looking at the girl.
"It's fine cause I am great, I cant wait for it to happen and I have no one to talk to because my two best friends that used to be my best friends are fucking each other and the man that I- really really like-"
"Love." Theodore finished as lanas face turned to him in shock as he stared at her.
"-I can't see." She finished herself.
"Love, you love him Lana say it." Theodore breathed as she gulped.
"No I cant love him theo it cant work." She said softly as he shook his head.
"Yes it can and you will just have to figure that out yourself." He grinned again as he put it in reverse driving Lana back to her dorm.

Warhammer CYOA (SI) Fanfiction Minora [Dropped]
Welcome to this little Warhammer Choose Your Own Adventure Fanfiction. First of all English isn't my native Language, just as a Warning. (SI) (Self Insert)Second of all I do not have a single Creative bone in my Body, so I selected a somewhat interactive form of writing this Fanfiction which necessitates that the Reader has to interact and Push the Story in the direction he wants it to go. Saying that, should your Comment not drive the Story in the direction you want it to go remember that I myself as well as other Readers have our own Ideas as well. The Eternal Vigil
The year is 2220, a time when governments and nation-states are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Instead, all prominent parts of human society are now organizing around the commands of three great Artificial Intelligences, owned and operated by the world's largest corporation. World peace has been achieved, and the very word 'politics' has disappeared from people's lips. Religion has largely disappeared, replaced in some parts by worshipping of the great AIs, but mostly substituted by a devotion to material goods and faith in the market. There is now a general consensus that the best form of government has been found. No, it is not democracy, nor is it autocracy or oligarchy. Instead, it is technocracy - rule by the learned, the intelligent, and the skilled. And who are more learned, intelligent, and skilled than the great AIs? Exactly, no one. The AIs will correct some market failures once in a while, but shall otherwise let the market be free. After all, the freer the market, the freer the people. Some may question how society advanced to this stage, but that is all they will do - question. Because they will not find answers, for history is no longer taught anywhere. After all, it is not a practical subject. One cannot get a decently paying job with a history degree. Society doesn't have any time for people to idly ponder about the past. No, this is a practical society of practical people: engineers, doctors, lawyers, developers, managers, bankers, soldiers, and the such. My name is Aiden Scivit and I used to be one such practical man: minding my own business, doing my job, with the faith that hard work will always be rewarded by the market...and that politics and philosophy were things thought of by idly people who leech off society. But this all changed, and here is my story, my history. Just because the stories of ages long past have been erased, does not mean that a brand new beginning cannot be created. The story is already finished but I still need to do some editing so a chapter should be released each day for a month. It is a bit political, as you can probably tell by the introduction, so there is that (it will low-key read like a philosophy dump 10% of the time, so really it's like Atlas Shrugged but liberal and worse lol). Also, I actually wrote this in grade 10 as part of my MYP Personal Project, and recently touched up on it for online publication. Finally, if you find the writing style passable and are interested in my other works, check out the one in the link below. It is a fantasy set in the Ancient Greek world, and is completed and uploaded in full: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/35099/the-oresteia-modernized
