People come and go

that's what they always say

but I was able to find you

and you took me in, like I was a stray.

But sometimes I feel like I don't belong

and I wish to not feel this way

as I see people you've known for so long

but my person is miles away.

Your friends don't know me

and we don't speak.

I stay quiet hoping that

they eventually get to know me.
