I wish I can go back

To the moments where

it was just you and me.

Where I was able to breathe

and things didn't appear

to be so consuming.

I guess that life must go on,

that I must move on

but it's hard to forget

something that meant a lot to you.

I wish I could say

"I love you"

But that time will never come

because I've realized that

you'll never be the one.

It's hard to say goodbye.

I believed you would be mine,

but I guess it's now time

to leave the unrequited love behind..
