Hazel's POV
A year later...
I fixed my black dress and took in a deep breath, staring into the mirror. My hair was perfectly made and my make up was on point. Looking back into the past, I would have never thought make up would ever be on my face. A lot had happened for the past year and yet, here I was stronger than ever.
I nearly lost my life a year ago and it reminded me of someone who was so important to me, who gave up his life to save mine. Luke. I sucked into the air, my head snapped to my bedside small, wooden table. I took a few steps towards it and opened the drawer slowly.
There it was. The letter Luke wrote before he gave his heart to me. My stomach churned as I grasped the letter carefully into my hand. A few tear stains, his tear stains were on the letter and I remembered crying after reading them. Taking in a deep breath, I unfolded the piece of paper before the words flowed out and memories came running back to me.
I could hear him sniffling while reading this, they were still ringing into my ears. I could hear him saying every word that was written here on this letter. But unfortunately, I couldn't respond to him at all. Little did I know, it would be the last time to hear Luke talking to me. A tear dropped on the letter as I cursed under my breath, folding the paper and keeping them back at where they were.
I took out a tissue on top of the table and carefully wiped the tear off my cheek and eyes. The door to my bedroom creaked open and when I looked behind, I instantly smiled. He was there for me at all times and I couldn't be more grateful. Justin helped me through my nightmares and made me as happy as I could be.
He quitted being a criminal, and said he wanted to focus more on his career for singing. He had been the most gentle one and whenever he was with me, he made me feel like I am the luckiest girl to ever walk the Earth. Honestly, I do feel like one.
He walked up to me and gave a peck on the forehead before smiling, "What are you thinking about, sweetheart?"

"How I am really lucky to have you," I replied without any hesitation. I hugged him by the waist and I could feel his heartbeat racing faster than ever. "And there you go the Usain Bolt heart."
I could feel the vibration off his toned chest as his laughter filled the air. My smile wouldn't leave my face as I wrapped my arms around him tighter. "You've always had that effect on me, Hazel. Always."
Those words sent goosebumps down my spine as I shivered under his grip. He pulled away a little and held my chin up to meet his fascinating eyes. He was holding up a huge smile on his beautiful face and I couldn't help but stare.
"We're gonna be late, darling. Shall we?" He let go off my body and gestured for me to hold his hand. I took them happily and walked out the door but not before taking one last look in the mirror. I locked my front door and smiled. I have missed home in Melbourne. And now that I am, I couldn't help but to be more thankful than I ever was.
Justin held the door open like a gentleman and motioned me to get inside his Ferrari. I gave him a polite nod before we chuckled softly. As we drove away from home, my mind started to wander again.
I met David as soon as I arrived here, my best friend who I haven't met for a very long time. We talked about so many stuffs and I shared most of the things that happened back in Paris. David did tell me that Shawn got arrested for peeing on someone's property and harassing them. For someone like Shawn, I wouldn't mind him getting behind the bars because he was always abusive.
As for Calum, he decided to move to LA and have some fun with girls as he is the chick magnet he always was. We would contact him every now and then and sometimes, he'd fly out to Melbourne just to visit me. That cheeky dude always checked up on me and I couldn't be more thankful.
My mind drifted off to Shane. As for him, well he's dead. Not in Justin's hands, but legally by the France police. Justin had his backup to master up a plan to get him caught doing something and apparently they succeed. I knew it was finally peace when the man who shot me is dead.

When mother found out that I got shot, she was terrified. She lost control of herself, but Justin managed to persuade her into calming down. She was always there for me, too. Whenever I needed someone to talk to, I could always count on her.
I looked over to my left and smiled. His eyes were fixated on the road. His left hand was controlling the steering wheel while the other one was resting on my thigh. His touch was warm and gentle, just like him. I sighed softly, still smiling.
We halted slowly to a stop before Justin hopped off the car and went around to open mine. We arrived at our first destination that I told him I wanted to go to as he gladly brought me. I walked into the place and its scent still catch me off guard. I knew exactly where I needed to be as I passed around a few tombstones until I reached his.
I took out the black rose from my bag and rested on his stone. I kneed down to get a better view. I softly grazed his tombstone written Luke Robert Hemmings. I smiled gently and stood up again to find Justin behind me. He traced his fingers on the palm of my hand before grabbing them into his. He kissed the side of my hair and I hugged him. I miss Luke, but I know he is in me. At least, that was what he wrote in his letter. When I finally was conscious after the operation, I thought what Luke said was a nothing but a nightmare. It turned out I was wrong.
I sighed as we walked out the cemetery and into the Ferrari again before Justin drove us to our next destination which he refused to tell me. I gave in and sat back, making myself comfortable with the leather seat. Before we arrived, Justin told me to blindfold myself with a piece of cloth that he gave. With a soft huff, I obeyed his order and did it anyway.
When I heard the engine stopping, I grew more anxious. Justin led me into a place for what it felt like forever walking and told me to stand in the same position he left me. "Untie your blindfold," his deep voice spoke as I immediately did as I was said.
My mouth gaped as I looked at the scenery in front of me. It was a huge garden full of colourful roses, each holding different meaning. There was a massive water fountain with beautiful art carved in the middle of it. But what surprised me the most was Justin on his one knee, holding up a small, classy box with a sparkly, diamond ring sitting in them.
He grinned, his eyes sparkling, "I want to be yours, forever and I want you to be mine, for eternity. We have gone through a lot, a lot more than any other soulmates could go through. They may have interesting stories, but ours is my favourite." He continued, chuckling, "Including me being your personal stalker."
Tears were streaming down my cheeks as my hands covered my mouth still in shock. He declared, wholeheartedly, "I know we started from an , but that was the best thing ever happened to me. You, Hazel, are the best thing that ever happened to me. Therefore," he started as my feet went cold. "Will you marry me, Hazel Aria Green?"
I nodded my head rapidly, still in absolute shock from what just happened. I ran up to him as he stood up with his arms wide open. I wrapped my hands around his neck as he did around my waist. He kissed my shoulder and pulled away before taking the ring out from the box and sliding it on my ring finger. I smiled widely and peered at him with love dangling in the air around us.
He brushed his nose against mine and whispered softly, with passionate, "I fall in love with you more and more everyday. And I will love you for evermore." He pecked on my forehead as he repeated.
"Evermore."
I'm emotional, someone hold me. I love each and every single one of you guys. Thank you for reading and voting and commenting. I mean it so much. You guys are the best and I couldn't ask for more.
