My mom picked out this cover so yay 😊 Also my thoughts and prayers go out to those at Manchester. It's so heartbreaking. 💔

Justin's POV

I never thought I needed to have someone in my life until I met Hazel. She changed the whole view of what I see and what I'd do. I didn't have to murder anybody to gain power. Love is the greatest power and love will always win.

No matter what was your sexuality, everybody wins when it comes to love. When I met Hazel, I still remember her soft hair hitting her face because of the wind. I remembered enjoying myself by watching her every movement. I was not usually that type of person who watches people. I was mostly just minding my own business.

But when I saw Hazel, I realized perfect was not the right word to describe her first impression. In fact, it was her clumsiness. It was the way she struggled to hold her coffee, her books and her phone at the same time. Little did I knew that if it wasn't for her clumsiness, I wouldn't have gone up to her and helped her out. I wouldn't have had the chance to look at her in the eyes and devour her beauty up-close.

She wasn't wearing all makeup caked up to her face. She was her own beauty; her own style. Every now and then, she would tap her feet while waiting for the taxi and I would just stare at her, enduring her nervousness. I remembered inquiring her about what she was currently doing and her answer was not funny, but the way she made the pun was amusing.

I touched my thick beard and made sure it was not falling out. I hid half of my face with my hat and used the Australian accent which turned out to be really bad. I held her books in my hand and scratched my beard when she was not looking. It was extremely itchy and I could not wait to get the fake beard off.

I figured out I should be the one starting the conversation since she hasn't talked for more than three minutes as her head constantly turned to the right and left for any sign of a taxi. We were standing in front of a local coffee shop and the wind was chilly. She shivered under her black coat and hugged herself, but it was quite a bad idea when she spilled a little coffee and made an innocent look up to me. I smiled, amused by her actions.

It was snowing a little and she got this crazy idea inside her head to sweep and gathered with her feet the snow and kicked gently on top of the coffee stain at the pathway. She smiled to herself, with pride hanging out and I couldn't help but smile with her.

I spoke out, "So, senior year?" She looked up to me with her mesmerizing eyes and smiled, bopping her head up and down. She took another look at the gathered snow that she flattened onto the stain with her designed, brown boot and small smiled.

"I'm studying tho," she laughed slightly and continued, "studying, but also dying, you know." She giggled to herself and then realized I was confused and frowned, "Do you get me? Studying also has the word dying in them and," a soft chuckle came out of her mouth and it was so cute, as she spoke again, "and students are dying, you know?"

She noticed my confused look and hugged to herself, smoke was blown out of her mouth. "It was a bad joke anyway, never mind." She hugged herself and flinched with her eyes closed. I watched her with amusement as she opened her eyes slightly to see the coffee was spilled out a little more to the ground. She groaned, tilting her head and hitting it with her phone.

Her clumsiness, that was what I fell for. Her innocence was pure and it felt like as if she had not been hurt ever before. It was beautiful. Her simplicity was pure beauty.

I was sitting up against the wall, my head pressed to the hard brick and my view was the girl I had been thinking about for almost three years. She never left my mind even once. There was always a partition of her in my head, minor or major.

After seeing her in the hospital bed lifeless-like, I almost lost hope for everything. I have said those words to her although she couldn't hear it, but it was true. If she couldn't make it, I will go with her. And I will do anything just to be with her; alive or dead. Sure that people could say I should be living and move on, but true love said otherwise.

My eyes were closed until a hand shook me up awake. I opened my eyes slightly to see Calum looking at me worried. Immediately, I stood up and Calum held up his index finger to his pouted lips while looking at Hazel. He motioned me to get out of the room as I did follow his lead.

As we walked out, we came face to face with the same doctor who had his name tag typed as Dr. William. He was holding a clipboard in one hand as he spoke, "Results for the tests that we did on Miss Hazel has been made and it is final."

I didn't know I have waited here for how many hours, but I did tell myself that I would never sleep unless I get to know her condition. I nodded slightly to let him continue. His face showed sympathy and my heartbeat raced and there was a big lump on my throat, awaiting for the results. Something told me it would not be good, and as he continued, I knew it was the end.

"According to the tests, as her head was shot severely, she had a stroke because of the amount of blood that was lost due to the injury. The stroke she had, killed a few of the brain cells, but we were be able to cure the certain cells. But the bad part is the stroke affected her heart."

My stomach churned in pain as the doctor continued, "We can't do anything to help her out, we are sorry." My heart clenched by his complexed words and my head felt like it was banged up the wall a few times. My hopes were lost and my heart was broken again. A tear dropped on my cheek as I pulled my hair out of regrets and sorrow. I didn't notice Luke was standing behind the doctor and his eyes were red as well. Calum's sobs were heard from my side.

But we didn't know that the doctor was about to continue with his words. "We can't help her out unless," I held back my tears as he continued with his deep voice. "Unless, there is any volunteer to donate their heart to Miss Hazel. Then, we would be able to save her. Although we don't have much time and the decision needed to be made in another 24 hours because that's all Hazel has before her brain cells die slowly."

"She needs a heart and if you can find anybody with no health issues also willing to give their heart to her, please inform us immediately." The doctor left us with shock and our minds tangled.

You did not see that coming, did you?
