I heaved a deep sigh before knocking on his bedroom door. He hadn't been out of the room for six hours straight. I was supposed to be the one in my room locked up thinking about my hideous problems, but Luke had other thoughts. Somehow, I needed him for a ride to visit Michael at the hospital. It was mean of me to leave him when it was entirely my fault, although none knew it was mine.

I knew I had to act like a leech and use Luke for a ride. After a few seconds of thoughts, I've decided that I could take the bus to the hospital. That way, I didn't have take advantage of anybody. I turned around thinking this way a bad idea and got into my room. Before closing the door, I heard the door to the opposite of mine, which was Luke's slowly creaking open.

I shut my door close and locked them. I took my wallet and my phone, stuffing them inside a small handbag and carried them downstairs. While I walked down the steps, I heard a few mutters and realized it was Luke who were talking to his mother. They both looked up to me when my figure caught their eyesight and Liz smiled softly.

Luke had an emotionless face on him and walked pass me to get into the living room. I could hear a football match playing on the television and I decided to shrug it off thinking maybe he would not be wanting to miss the game. I spoke to Liz softly, "I'm gonna go pay a visit to Michael. He," I stopped for a bit. "Got hurt in the shoulder for...uh, for when he was, um, when he was working in the kitchen—"

Liz interrupted, chuckling politely. "You are a bad liar, like your fath—" Her eyes widened as she covered up, "mother, sorry. Mother. Sure, beau. Go on and come back safely, love."

No words came out of mouth when I heard her rambling a little about the twisted tongue words a while ago. She knew my father? I didn't want to make myself even more confused by asking her more questions and nodded slightly, curiosity still fresh in my mind.

Getting outside the front door, the chill air passed my body as I shivered a little. I was finger crossing myself not to freeze to death on my way there. Did they even have any bus around this time? I hugged myself while walking down the front steps and out the driveway. Walking to the bus stop, which was five minutes away seemed like a dreadful thing to do at this time when the sun was going down, but I couldn't make the first impression bad on Michael and my other new friends.

I licked my lower lip, keeping it moist every now and then. My phone buzzed inside my bag and I was frozen at the spot. I took the phone out and my throats went dry as I read the message mentally.

I can't promise if you lick your lips one more time that I wouldn't go up in front of you and kidnap you again, princess. — J

I gulped down my throat. He's been watching me. Justin is somewhere near me.
