Part 18

*Selena’s POV*

Did he really just say what I thought he said? Did he say he loved me?

I swallowed hard trying to get my head straight. Did I love him? Yes but I can’t just fall that easily again. I can’t allow myself to get hurt like that. The question wasn’t if I love him, it was if I was ready to tell him.

“Selena? Are you okay you don’t look too good,” Justin said holding onto my elbow gently.

“Uh,-” I said before getting cut off by Brayden running backstage.

“That was really amazing,” Leigh said hugging both of us.

“We raised a lot of money. You wouldn’t even believe it,” Scooter said joining us.

“That’s great,” Justin said smiling but for some reason the smile didn’t reach his eyes.

We hugged everyone goodbye before I looked at Justin, “Can you meet me at my place? I want to talk.”

He nodded and we both grabbed our keys heading out to our cars.

The drive home in my car was completely silent. I didn’t bother turning the radio on due to the fact that I had a lot of thinking to do.

When we both pulled up to my house I knew it was time. There was no more escaping. I had to do what I had to do.

I opened up the door and we both walked in awkwardly. “Are you thirsty?”

“I’m okay,” he said sitting on the sofa.

“Selena.”

“Justin,” we both said at the same time.

“You go first,” we both said causing us to laugh.

“No seriously, you go first,” I said giving him the floor.

“Selena, I know that I said I love you but that doesn’t mean I expect anything from you. Do I love you? Yes, but I’ll wait. I don’t expect you to just give in-”

“I love you Justin,” I said.

“I’m sorry, what did you say?” he asked shocked.

“I love you,” I said walking over to him, straddling him.

I moved my face so my lips were brushing lightly against him. “I love you.”

“Good morning, my lovely girlfriend,” Justin whispered in my ear, waking me up.

“Go away,” I muttered playfully rolling onto my side.

“Nice view,” he said and I could practically hear the smirk in his voice.

I rolled my eyes and pulled the covers closer around me before his arms draped over them.

“Last night was amazing,” he said into my ear making me blush slightly.

“I love when you blush,” he said bushing his lips across my cheek.

“Let’s call James and Leigh up and ask if we can steal Bray for the dance since he’s got to go back to the hospital soon. We can come here and play in the pool. Or we can go to your place, whichever,” I said turning to look at him.

“Sounds good babe. I’ll call them, you jump in the shower. I’ll join you in a bit.”

I leaned up to kiss him before leaving the sheets behind as I walked to the bathroom closing my French doors behind me.

*Justin’s POV*

“Hey, James. It’s Justin,” I said into the phone as I watched Selena through the crack of the door.

“Hey Justin. What’s up?”

“Well, Selena and I were wondering if we could take Bray off your hands for the day and he could come chill with us at our house. We are just going to watch movies and swim and stuff. We will even pick him up,” I said hoping he would say yes.

“Let me talk to Leigh real quick,” he said before covering the phone with his hands talking to Leigh.

“Justin?” he asked,

“Yes?”

“That sounds great. We are even coming over there so we will just drop him off,” he said.

“Okay we are at Selena’s place. It’s not too far from mine. I’ll send you the address.”

“At Selena? So early in the morning?” he asked jokingly.

“I don’t kiss and tell James.”

“Was it kissing or more?” he asked.

“Goodbye James. See you soon,” I said hanging up and joining Sel for a shower.

"CANNONBALL!" I yelled jumping into the pool causing a giant splash. Brayden erupted into fit of laugher.

"Come on Bray get in!" I yelled as I swam around in the middle of the pool.

Selena helped him over the the stairs of the pool and together they got in.

"It's freezing!" Selena said with wide eyes and she stood on her tip toes.

"Just go under. It will feel much better once you do," I said rolling my eyes at how wimpy she was being.

She did as I told and went under the water before coming back up and bushing the hair out of her face.

"You are so beautiful," I said pulling her over to me placing my lips on her.

"I love you," I said against her lips.

"Um guys don't forget about me," Brayden said making the two of us laugh.

"We could never forget you. Come on family hug," Selena said with a small smile.

He swam over to us and we all hugged and Selena and I kissed his head before I kissed hers.

"I love you guys," I said looking between the two of them.

"Let's go watch a movie!" Brayden said swimming to the edge.

"He looks so much like you," Selena said to me.

"But he acts like you," I said smiling at her.

"We make cute children," she said with a small laugh.

"Hopefully more I the future? Ones we can keep?" I asked as we got out following Brayden into the house.

"Maybe. We'll see. Let's just focus on us and Brayden for right now. We have plenty of time to have kids."
