Claire's POV:
I changed my pyjamas on and scrambled under the covers. It had been a long day, longer than ever so far in my life
Alfredo had been shooting some video with his friends a whole day. When I asked if I can come with him he said quickly no. "No, you stay here" he had said shortly and I haven't asked why to him but I had just obeyed
My eyelids felt so heavy and I could nothing but let my eyes close. Just when I was about fell in sleep, I heard how my phone started ring
I didn't look even the caller because I thought that it might be Alfredo who calls that he has to stay there even longer still than he had already been. For my shock, it wasn't him but someone who with I thought, I'd ever share words again
Robert, little alarm clocks started ring in my head. Suddenly I was full of energy again. "Claire" he sighed and silence landed there for a few seconds. "You don't even know how amazing it is to me hear your voice"
I wanted just roll my eyes to him and close the phone but I still didn't do that. "What do you want?" I asked shortly and kind of annoyed. Of course I was since he decided wake me up
"I just wanted hear your voice and make sure that you're fine" he said quietly. "Well, now you heard and yeah I am fine" I spat out. "I know, that you might not want talk with me but I just want say that.." Again, long silence.
"You wanted say what?" I asked and after that I was able to hear low sobbing. Was he crying? "I miss you, Claire" he said quietly and somehow I felt a big block take a place in my heart. I felt bad for him.

He sounded so sad and weak but I had to stay in my side. I sighed deeply and said to him: "Robert, you know how things are now. You know that things would be normal if that.. thing wouldn't have happened"
My voice started crack up in the end when pictures of that evening. I would have just wanted hung up and throw my phone out of the window so he couldn't get in contact with me ever again.
"I know, I know.. I know that I can maybe ever ask you to forgive me but one thing I'd still want you to do" he said. I gulped and wait him to continue. "Are you there, Claire?" he asked and I mumbled back low.
He took a deep breath. "I'd like to meet you one last time" he said shortly and those few words made my heart skip a couple beats. "I don't know.." I said slowly. I wasn't sure about that at all.
Polices had told me to stay away from him. My brain yelled to stay away too but my heart still wanted to give him that last wish. I was stuck again.
"Think about it. You can come meet me to park on Wednesday in 4pm if you feel like you want. However, it's your choice in the end. I can totally live with that if you won't appear, or at least try live" he chuckled in the end and I'd have wanted too but I tried stay hard as possible.
"I don't deserve your love anymore but I wanted just give that last chance to quit this thing between us in peace" he said still. He was kind of right. Maybe that would be a good way to close this chapter before we'll move to our own ways.
"I'll think about that" I told before I closed the phone. This will be a long night which will be full of thoughts
~
Finally a new part. Sorry for making you wait😩

Madness Led by the Hands
‘Great, no… splendid. It was for naught.’ ‘Naught? Depends. If your desire is to send an army of killers our family’s way, yes indeed. If it’s plain survival you seek, then no.’ ‘They don’t coexist?’ ‘What… don’t tell me you’re still all groggy from the fall. Perhaps in novels, but real life is much tougher–––many more times a drag than anyone can possibly imagine. If dusty history is not a reliable teacher for you, then the pandemic surely took that place. At least that one has the advantage you needn’t be literate to savvy how reality always trumps imagination.’ ‘Whatever you say, whatever you say. So… what now?’ ‘Now? Isn’t it obvious? Now we shall survive. And live a good life.’ ‘Ohh… pretty much everything here has something against this little weird wish of ours. Might you consider?’ ‘Then pretty much everything here is a goner.’ ‘Hm, I don’t like the sound of that. Too much trouble, you see. I’d prefer laying low somewhere safe.’ ‘…nobody told you it’s mutually exclusive, no–––or did you forget about that too?’ ‘Fine, then I wish my future enemies all the best.’ ‘They are undeserving of your pity.’ ‘Of course not. That unlucky bunch won’t ever comprehend the reason behind their demise. Just let me smoke in peace and offer my condolence in advance.’ ‘Idem, let me study alchemy, unobstructed by all, if possible. This also includes you. By the way, are you sure you smoke to offer condolences? It seems like an excuse to me.’ ‘I-it is none. Plain truth, you see?’ ‘Seriously, why did I even ask...?’

8 130Art of Mortality
New Synopsis after chapter 56: Long long ago, there was a mortal who despised the gods and envied the immortals. Why do the mortals have to die when the gods wish them to? Why do worlds have to perish when the gods say so? Why do only immortals get to live forever, why not mortals like him? As his family, friends, and his loved one died, he lamented. He wailed, he cried. He cursed the immortals, blasphemed the gods, spat at the heavens. But he was just a mere mortal. His curses were pointless, his blasphemous words were useless, and his spits only returned back to fall on his face. At last, he thought, enough was enough, he would definitely do something about it. He decided that it was time for the multiverse to know what a mortal can do. He was the first mortal to cultivate. Eventually, after a long struggle, he killed the Immortals, enslaved the Gods, and shattered the heavens. He reshaped the multiverse and rewrote his fate. In the end, he reincarnated as he decided upon a grand scheme, a scheme to rule 'All and Always'. He came up with the concept of what is known today as 'Paragon'. And with this, all of reality, 'All and Always', was finally reforming, according to a Mortal's Wish. Synopsis (Old): In the vast and complex multiverse, what can a mortal accomplish? In the grand scheme of things, what can a mortal change? In truth, what is a mortal, and what is mortality? Being mortal is being ordinary, the same as being trash, or so says The World. "No, mortality is an art, and a true mortal is a grand artist. Being the root of all, a mortal can become anything.", says a young mortal boy. Meet Edward Alexander, a mortal boy walking the path against gods and immortals, fighting to the end to rewrite his destiny, and change the grand scheme of things. Can he really change the grand scheme of things? Or maybe he himself is the Grand Schemer? To know the answer, follow Edward Alexnder on his journey to demonstrate the Art of Mortality.*******

Summary Alexander Weiss, an intelligent and slightly unusual man, always dreamt of becoming a mage. Sadly, reality is harsh and even his best efforts never allowed him to achieve his goal during his lifetime... or did they? One has to be careful what they wish for, lest they might live to see it fulfilled. Description Follow Alex, a man whose pursuit of magic could not even be stopped by his non-magical reality, going as far as to create it himself, only to encounter an unsurmountable obstacle shortly before achieving his lifes goal, denying him all access to these powers. His journey will take him through a miraculous world, full of wonders, magic and manic beasts trying to devour him! He will learn much about this world during his adventures, exploring individual aspects of the System and the various monsters that came from it... or did they? Strong points What you'll get from this novel is the following (read with overly enthusiastic salesman-voice) : • An ending! I'll complete it, no matter what. Well, not "no matter what", but as long as I don't unexpectedly end, this novel won't either! • Good grammar! Might not be perfect, but it's definitely good enough to not detract from the story in the slightest. I'll also fix any reported mistakes as soon as possible, be they grammatical, syntactical or just inconsistencies. • No plot-armor! Or plot-weapons! Or plot-... potions? And no plot-holes! If you see some, it's most likely information that is being witheld for future revelations! But in the (hopefully) very unlikely case of such a vile beast being encountered, please inform me immediately and I'll see to slaying it without grace! (Translation: If you see plot-holes, tell me and I'll fix them) • Logic! [Hidden : Spoilers][Hidden : More Spoilers] [Moved to Chapter [Hidden Spoiler]'s Author's Note] Marvelous, I know! • Blue Boxes! And maybe something more! • Sensible retroactive edits! Not to be confused with radioactive edits! You'll not have to re-read previous chapters, even if they get some major edits. If they were to receive new information, I'll add that very information to the newly released chapters too, in a reasonable way. • Realism! Shocking, I know! Especially considering the tag related to that and the point about "Logic!". This also means that the story will be... well, realistically depicting a pretty messed up world. Don't expect bunnies... at least not cute ones. • Relatively faster paced! No long and boring descriptions of irrelevant stuff. There will be some longer descriptions about important things, but that's gonna be necessary world- and/or character-building! • Short action! Might not be a plus for some, but you won't have to look at a whole (or, god forbit, multiple) chapter describing a fight against the same enemy... • Strategy and hard progression! It's a dog-eat-dog world! No grinding/power-creep! If you're up against three enemies of your level at once, you've already lost! • Understanding! It will be mostly about discovering the wonders of this new world and how it became like that, all while trying to survive. So there will be enough action nonetheless! • Humor! Sometimes dark, sometimes light, always at the worst moment! • Constructive critics, welcome! Destructive critics, nope... I can handle criticism though, so don't go easy on me! Just make sure it's really a mistake when complaining about something. • Will add more in the future! If I can think of more stuff...
