"Outrageous...!!" Marquis Johnson bellowed.

Even though he was extremely desperate, bowing to a girl who is not even an adult was not something he could do. He was an Aristocrat, if people learned that he bowed to a little girl like her, he might as well just slap manure on his face and proclaim it was his makeup. He turned his eyes towards Baron Turner only to see the guy feeling tempted. After all, unlike the Marquis, Baron Turner stood to lose everything. The Marquis squinted his eyes and whispered to the Baron.

"If you dare to bow down, know this, I will make your daughter's life a living hell after she marries my son." However, contrary to his threat, the Baron was still contemplating things. It seems his fortune ranked higher than his own daughter right now. The Marquis was furious. But before he could react, two people from behind him came forth and stood before Selena. It was Grant and Patricia. Marquis Johnson panicked. But before he could react, Grant spoke.

"Lady Selena, I said it before and I will say it again, I don't regret choosing Patricia over you, so I won't ask for your forgiveness in that regard."

This jolted the Marquis. Was his son always this decisive? Meanwhile, Marquis Booker was red with anger. To say it so blatantly in front of his ex-fiancé was no more than a slap to her face. But before he could respond, Grant continued.

"However..." Grant spoke, "...It was indeed unfaithful of me to approach another lady when I had already promised my future to you."

Marquis Booker froze on the spot.

"To make matters worse, I handled the situation in an extremely poor manner which led to the situation that brought us here, and for that..." Grant bowed which shock everyone except Selena.

"I sincerely apologize, and I hope you will forgive me for my immature behavior."

Complete Silence. Everything went quiet for a minute. Selena turned her gaze towards Patricia. She also bowed after getting over the shock.

"Lady Selena, I have been a terrible friend to you..." hoarse words came from Patricia as tears threatened to flow down. She was trembling non-stop as many emotions overwhelmed her.

"I-I... I am sorry for everything that happened and I don't expect you to forgive us, but..." Patricia choked before continuing.

"No, I shouldn't explain myself. No matter how I put it, the end result was that I betrayed your trust and----"

"Your Majesty..." Selena interrupted Patricia and talked to the King.

"Hmm?" The King raised his eyebrows.

"I am willing to forgive Young Master Grant Johnson and Young Lady Patricia Turner as long as they make a public statement of apology."

"Eh?!" Everyone was shocked. Even the bowing Grant did not expect her to forgive him so easily.

A big smile came forth from the King's face. He turned to the bowing youngsters and said.

"Are you willing to accept her demands?"

"Yes..." Grant and Patricia replied in unison as they turned and bowed to the King.

"Ha Ha...!! Now that's more like it." The King laughed heartily. It seems Selena knew how much to push someone. She also knew to back off when it was deemed necessary and not let her emotions get in the way of her judgment. So far, the girl has not disappointed him.

"This..." The crowd was confused. Did it really just end like this? The Duke wanted to cry. 'What about my loss?' he thought.

"Marquis Johnson, Baron Turner... I hope that these two will have a huge wedding. Even though their methods were wrong, they are really in love. It is rare to see someone of Grant's position to bow down. He is really someone who knows what's right and wrong, you really have a good heir, Marquis Johnson."

"This... Thank you." Marquis Johnson immediately bowed. He understood that the words of praise from the King were actually an order. 'Let the two marry and have Grant returned to the position of the future heir of the estate.' If Marquis Johnson tried to oppose now, he would be going against the King, and since the couple was being brought together by the King, if he tried to hurt Patricia out of anger, the King would have the right to intervene.

"Alright, you may leave now..." The King waved his hand.

"Thank you for your kindness, your Majesty." Grant and Patricia bowed and began to leave the room.

Since Grant and Selena had already talked, there was nothing for them to say anymore.

"Thank... you..." Patricia managed to squeeze the words out as she walked past Selena. However, Selena acted like she did not hear her. Patricia clenched her teeth in remorse. She realized that Selena would never be friends with her ever again. She gained something but also lost something. Such is the tragedy of the play we call Life.

The Door closed after the two youngsters left.

"Ahem..." PM Bernard cleared his throat and looked at the remaining Accused party.

"Marquis Johnson, Baron Turner... would you like to apologize as well?"

Johnson and Turner turned to look at each other. Their eyes brightened as they got an idea. Instead of apologizing to Selena, they would apologize to the Duke and Marquis respectively. After all, Selena said that they only have to bow and apologize. She did not specify to whom. It was not considered shameful to bow to your superiors. So Marquis Johnson would bow to Duke Rant and Baron Turner would bow to Marquis Booker. Since Selena put up the offer in front of the King, she can't back out from it and would have no option but to dissolve the case.

A Case can't be repeated in the Royal Court, which means even if Duke Rant was unsatisfied, he cannot appeal to the King again with a different case since he would still be doing it for compensation and it would be regarded as repetition. It was a win-win situation. They nodded understandingly at each other but before the shameless duo could proceed with it, Selena's nonchalant voice sounded out.

"I am sorry, but the offer has expired."

"Eh?" Everyone froze. Even the King and Bishop stared blankly for a second.

"Er... What do you mean? My Lady?" PM Bernard asked with a confused look.

"The offer to bow and apologize was for a limited time only. I thank the King to allow me to speak. I have said what I wanted to say. With this, if no one has anything to say, you may begin the Case." With simply saying those words, Selena stepped back and stood behind Marquis Booker once again.

The duo was stumped. 'Offer expired? Girl, are you an employee in a Supermarket? Are you selling detergent with a discounted price and we were the housewives who failed to get the offer in time?'

Contrary to their expressions, Marquis Booker was trying very hard to not laugh out loud and Duke Rant exhaled a relaxed sigh. He still had a chance to be compensated.

"Buh...!!! Cough COUGH...!!" The King and Bishop both coughed loudly to stifle their laughter. This little girl was really vicious. Even the devil might tiptoe around her.

But of course, it was a given that Selena was not going to forgive them. If these two would have been level headed and not uphold their empty pride despite knowing they were wrong, Selena might have forgiven them. But these two were shameless in their behavior. They tried to dump everything on Selena. Baron Turner, who relied heavily on her Father, should have respected him and tried to settle the situation. However, he was blinded by wealth and connections and turned on his benefactor. If Selena let him go, then it would very well be a loud slap to the Booker Manor. As for Marquis Johnson, he was the ring leader of the scenario and did not even bat an eye when it came to framing Selena and ruining her future. How could she allow the mastermind of the Record Crystal incident to walk away freely?

The King nodded approvingly as he tried to control his laughter. This was the correct course of action. It was supposed to be a situation between youngsters. But the adults interfered and blew this out of proportions, even resorting to cheap methods to corner a little girl and ruin her future. Selena made the right decision by letting Grant and Patricia leave before backing behind the Marquis herself. Now, the case was a battle between adults. Any evidence or witnesses they have on Selena's character would be rendered meaningless since the Case has evolved beyond her. This means that they can't use Claire Walker's incident anymore too.

"W-We..." Marquis Johnson tried to speak but was cut off by the Bishop.

"You heard the girl, Castello. Stop wasting time and begin the case. Your King needs to poop."

"Yes..." PM Bernard nodded and said to the crowd.

"The Case of Duke Rant and Marquis Booker versus Marquis Johnson and Baron Turner begins now."

"Ah...!!" Johnson and Turner were flabbergasted. They immediately wished that they had their children's decisiveness and bowed down with them when they had the chance. Now, they could only grit their teeth and move forward.

However, it was pretty much a losing battle at this point.

Half an hour passed as both sides made their point. With the Duke, showing the contract between him and Marquis Johnson along with Baron Turner, it was pretty much a one-sided battle. Since the Bishop himself had witnessed the Record Crystal and declared it broken, there was not even a need to present the broken Record Crystal.

But suddenly, Marquis Johnson had an idea. It was pretty shameless but he decided to go through with it anyway. He stepped forward and said.

"Your Majesty, I didn't want to say this but..." He then pointed to Selena and proclaimed.

"She is the one who broke the Record Crystal...!!"

"Marquis Johnson...!! How dare you...?!" Marquis Booker bellowed angrily as fierce magic aura surrounded him and it looked like he would pounce on Johnson the second he got the chance.

"Marquis Booker...!! What are you planning on doing in front of the King? Do you have no respect for him?" Marquis Johnson replied haughtily.

"Marquis Johnson..." Duke Rant held back Marquis Booker and talked to Johnson.

"Haven't you embarrassed yourself enough already? What's the point of shifting the blame on a child, like her?"

"I am not shifting the blame. Duke Rant, do you remember Baron Turner's face after he came from visiting the Booker Manor?"

"His face...?" Duke Rant thought about for a second. His eyes immediately narrowed as he realized Marquis Johnson's plan.

"I hope you won't lie here, Duke." Johnson chuckled as he turned to face the King.

"Your Majesty, Baron Turner had gone to the Booker Manor in order to ask for forgiveness. However, Lady Selena retorted to that with inhumane actions."

"Marquis Johnson..." PM Bernard interjected, "I don't think Lady Selena's character has anything to do with the case anymore. Please don't try to diverge the case."

"Please listen to my whole story first Prime Minister..." Marquis Johnson spoke and then continued.

"Lady Selena threw a cup filled with hot tea at the Baron. The cup shattered on the Baron's face and hot tea spilled on his body. He was in agonizing pain."

"Humph... It was better if I could see it." The Bishop said as he felt depressed that he missed the opportunity to see it in visual.

"Baron Turner went behind my back to provoke my daughter...!!" Marquis Booker bellowed, "He deserved every shard on his face and every drop of that hot tea on his body...!!"

"I am not judging Lady Selena's actions but what if... that was the reason the record crystal broke?"

"Eh?" Everyone immediately understood Johnson's intention.

"As Bishop Brian mentioned back then, the Record Crystal stopped working because Baron Turner sent in too much Magic energy." Marquis Johnson chuckled and then continued.

"What if... the reason Baron Turner send too much energy was because he was surprised by the sudden attack which made his magic go out of control?"

"This..." Everyone felt in contemplation. There was indeed a chance this could happen. Magic needs to be driven through the body to operate it. When someone who is currently channeling magic is interrupted or startled, their concentration can break and the magic inside the body could go haywire temporarily. If Baron Turner was truly trying to activate the Crystal when Selena attacked him then there was indeed a chance that his magic may have gone haywire and accidentally transferred too much Magic into it. It was a logical conclusion on their part.

"Are you saying my Daughter broke the Crystal?" Marquis Booker asked angrily.

"Are you denying the possibility? I admit, Lady Selena was unaware of the crystal's existence and it was purely accidental. But we also did not broke it on purpose." Marquis Johnson finished his speech and then turned to the King again.

"Your Majesty, if we both are to be held responsible for the damaged Crystal, in all fairness, don't you think that the Booker Manor should also compensate since they played a part in its destruction?"

Silence once again permeated in the room. The Baron kept quiet throughout Johnson's monologue. He was well aware that it was not Selena's fault the Crystal broke. After all, he sent his energy into the Crystal only after Selena's Cup had already hurt his face and he had calmed down. Duke Rant was skillfully stuck. If he still asked for compensation, he would have to ask Marquis Booker too for it. It was one thing to punish the enemies but if he dragged an ally down with them, then no one will trust him in the future. It was started to look like the accused duo would actually escape punishment today.

"Excuse me, Your Holiness, Bishop Brian." a cold female voice sounded out in the silence.

"Hmm? What is it, child Selena?" The Bishop asked.

"Did you wanted to see me throw the Cup at Baron Turner that badly?" Selena asked.

"Eh?" The Crowd was confused. What is this girl saying? Meanwhile, Baron Turner cupped his face and hid behind Marquis Johnson. He was pretty sure that Selena wanted to throw a cup to his face again to gain the Bishop's favor.

"Of course, but it is not possible anymore..." the Bishop shook his head in disappointment.

However, in response to that, Selena only smiled, and as if on command, the room became a few degrees colder. The King widened his eyes in astonishment. Selena looked at the Bishop with her cold blue eyes.

"Is it... really impossible?" She asked as she reached in her pocket and took out something.

The Glass-like item in her hand sparkled with a myriad of colors which indicated it was filled with magic.

"A Record Crystal...!!" the crowd exclaimed.
