《Bad Intentions》Thirty-Four

"Oh Leah!" I heard a bright bubbly voice shout.
Nope. Not today.
I was currently in the middle of my messy room trying to do some type of spring cleaning. Like honestly you don't know how much stuff you actually have until you have to clean.
"Leah!" I heard the voice shout once more, but closer.
I need to hide.
Because I know exactly what that voice wants.
I looked around the room frantically. Where can I hide? There were huge piles of clothes on the ground, but she would find me under those easily.
So where!?
I heard footsteps approaching.
I had no time left.
So I dived right under my bed as my last resort.
And just in the nick of time because a second later my bedroom door flew open.
"Leah Tate, I know you're in here." Kayla's voice echoed through my room.
Let's hope she doesn't check under my bed.
"Don't think you can hide from me." She sang as she rustled through my piles of clothing. Told you she would go there first. "Oh this is cute. I might keep this for myself."
She checked my closet and bathroom and even under my desk. "Maybe you aren't here." She muttered to herself. Just as I thought she was going to walk out of my room in defeat, I felt a strong pull on my leg pulling me out from under my bed.
I let out a small yelp at the movement. "You honestly need a better hiding place." My dark blonde friend said.
"In my defense it was good enough for the amount of time I had." I defended as I stood up from the floor.
"I knew you were under there from the moment I walked in." She said.
I gave her a questioning look. "No, you didn't. You checked everywhere else before under the bed."

"I decided to play along, but your bright pink fuzzy doughnut socks don't help your hiding situation." Kayla teased.
I glanced down at my socks. Damn it.
"Listen, if you are getting rid of anything cute. I'll take the donations." Kayla said taking a seat on the chair next to my desk.
I tossed her a pair of super old socks that had cats on them. "You can take those."
'Ew, definitely not." She said tossing it to my trash pile. "Sooooo." She continued.
"Yes Kayla? What is it?" I asked keeping my attention to the monster closet in front of me. I picked up a hideous fluffy pink shirt. Who in their right mind bought this?
"I really miss my best friend and would love to hang out with you today." She said sadly.
I turned around to see Kayla having a genuinely sad look on her face.
I mean it is true we haven't hung out as often as we usually do and I do miss my best friend more than I actually realized. It just so much has been going on and I haven't even included my best friend and that made me feel horrible.
I ran up to her and captured Kayla into my arms giving her the tightest hug I can muster up. "I'm sorry. I've missed you too."
She returned my hug even tighter. "So you'll make it up to me?"
"Yes, what ever it is."
Kayla's face transformed into a devious look.
Oh shit, I know I'm in for it.
"You really shouldn't have said that." She said with a mischievous grin.
"I know." I said regretting my words. Why did I say that??
To console your best friend you've been ignoring for god knows how long.
Oh.. right.
Knowing Kayla, we could end up across the country in the back of someone's truck covered in glitter. Don't ask how I know that.

"What do you have in mind?" I asked curiously.
"I would love to go downtown. It's a Saturday night and there is this new place I want to check out." She said twirling around in my chair.
"Sure." I told her nonchalantly.
Kayla stopped the chair abruptly. "Sure?" She questioned. "You don't want to know what kind of place it is? "
I can't believe I'm saying this. "Nope, today I will follow your lead."
Her eyebrows shot up in surprise. She was too stunned to speak.
"Finally!" She shouted startling me. "The day has come!"
I shook my head at her. What did I actually get myself in..
---
"Nope."
"Leah, come on! You said you would follow my lead today." Kayla whined.
"I didn't know your lead was going to take us to a club!" I argued as we stood a block away from the very loud and popular building. The line extended along the building as people wait to enter.
"I thought that you would want to, I don't know, actually spend quality time with me." I told her in a pointed tone.
"Of course Lee. You are my best friend, but everyone has been raving about this place and I really wanted to check it out with my bestest friend." Kayla pouted.
I should have know better.
Especially with the way we are currently dressed.
I thought at most we were going into the city for dinner.
I was in a black bodycon long sleeved dress that fell mid thigh with my dark hair in bouncy waves and black heels to match. Kayla was dressed in a similar dress except her dress color was cream.
I honestly didn't think anything of it as Kayla loves dressing up and dressing me up also. So I just go with the flow.
"We can't waste these gorgeous outfits. Let's go!" She said in a convincing tone.
I sighed.
I know I am going to regret this.
"Let's go." I grumbled out.
"Yes!" Kayla yelled out as she dragged me across the street into the line. I looked up to the building to see the sign. Midnight.
Very creative.
I looked at the line in front of me. People talking, laughing and excited to get in. Also a bit older than us.
"Kayla, are we even old enough to get into this club?" I asked my excited friend.
"Nope, twenty-one and over." She said nonchalantly.
"Then how the hell are we suppose to get in? If you have forgotten, we're only eighteen." I told her as the line moved forward. We were getting closer to the entrance.
"Don't worry about it. I have it covered." She said simply.
Moments later we were face to face with the bouncer and to say the least he was scary looking and huge.
"Kayla! You finally made it." The huge bouncer spoke.
"I know, finally! I brought my best friend, I hope you don't mind." She spoke cheerfully.
Am I in a parallel universe or something?
What the hell is going on??
"Not at all! Next time come to the entrance and I will let you guys in." The huge bouncer said and moved aside to let us in. "Enjoy ladies."
I was so stunned by this interaction, Kayla had to drag me through the entrance.
When I finally snapped back to reality, I asked. "Kayla, what the hell was that? How do you know a club bouncer?"
"Don't worry about it. I just know some people." She said giving me a grin. "Now let's have some fun!"
This should be interesting.
