I watch as Truex, Kevin and Easton do what they call, run routes. I look at Mya, "Spill." I demand. Wanting to know it all.

She shakes her head. "Nothing yet."

"Nothing yet?"

"Nope, he's been sweet. He's helped me chancel everything and let's me cry on his shoulder." She shrugs.

I groan, "Sounds boring."

She laughs. "We're taking it slow. Something you and Truex obviously have never heard of."

"We've heard of it, we're just not boring like you." I tease.

Her smile drops and she turns to me. "Oh, my God. You're right." The surprise on her face is laughable. "I'm going the throw myself at him and see what happens." She says, quickly.

"I was joking, Mya. Take all the time you need." I tell her, stunned. We mess around like this all the time she never takes my advice.

"Its working for you two." She points out.

I roll my eyes, "We're different."

"I wanna be different." She pouts, crossing her arms.

I watch Easton, he's catching the football and tossing it back to Truex. He is a very handsome man and his butt is on point. "Yeah, lock that shit down." I agree.

She scoffs, "Consider it done."

Easton gives the ball to Kevin and father and son, resume the casual game of running with the ball, this is fun for them? Easton, comes back towards us and I smirk, knowing too much about what is going to happen. "Ask him to help you with drinks for everyone." I order. Whispering, "Make your move."

I feel Mya's elbow hit my arm but shrug it off. This girl needs help. Easton is in deep, I see it written all over his face. "Easton, will you help Mya get drinks for everyone. I would but I'm exhausted." I say, slumping my shoulders for effect.

He nods, but looks at me suspiciously. "Yeah, I can do that."

Mya glares at me but leads Easton into the house. "Well, this should be interesting." I say as Truex and his dad join me. I try to stall. "Hey, can I play?"

Truex stops walking, shocked. "Play?"

"Yeah." I nod.

"Play catch." He repeats, holding up the ball.

I roll my eyes, "Looks easy enough." I walk to him taking the ball. "So, how do I do this?" I ask. "Why are they shaped so funny?"

"It's shaped that way because its roughy the shape of an inflated pig's bladder, which is what the first footballs were made of." He answers, seriously.

"Ewe, really?"

He nods, "Yep."

I give the ball back to him. "Should I run and try to catch it?" He laughs and I hit his chest. "What?"

"The woman I married doesn't-" He stops mid sentence. "What are you doing?"

I feel my eyes go big. How the hell did he figure it out so fast. "Nothing." I reply, too quickly.

His eyes narrow and he turns towards the house. "If I go in there and something is going on I don't like. I'll be discussing it with you." He warns.

I shrug, "Then don't go in there. I absolutely hate discussions."

I look to see Kevin about to go inside and turn back to Truex. "There, now we don't have to talk about it."

"Whats he going to find?"

I smirk, "Well, if she listened to me she'd have him up against the counter with his pants down." I say, mischievously.

"What!"

I laugh at his response. "He likes her and she likes him. Plus, he's so stinking adorable."

"Adorable." He states, irritated. "I'm adorable. I don't get pushed against the counter and my pants taken down."

I scoff, "You and adorable do not belong in the same sentence." I state, pointedly.

He tilts his head to the side and lifts his eyebrow, I can see he's getting angry. "Really?"

I nod, "You've always made the first move. It'd be me against the counter with my pants down. Easton won't make a pass at her, she has to do it first." I explain. I can tell he's not pleased with my reasoning. He's still mad so I run my hand

up his chest and smile up at him. "Do you want to be, adorable?"

His eyes narrow, but he doesn't say anything. I pull on his shirt getting him to lean down and kiss me. His mouth is hot and demanding as always. His hands grip my hips bringing me flush against him.

"What the hell? Did I not teach my kids the value of a bedroom?" I hear Kevin say and I giggle.

"See, at least I made sure they were interrupted and didn't take it to far. You should thank me, I saved you from seeing it."

"Can't she find someone that's not my friend?" He grumbles.

"She could, but this is different. He's just so-"

"Adorable, yeah you mentioned that." He bites off.

"If I wasn't with you-" I start to say, getting a rise out of him.

"You are with me. So, don't even think about it. Not now, not ever." He warns, adorably.

Taking my hand we go inside, I notice a blushing Mya and uncomfortable looking Easton. I want to laugh, but just smile at them. "Hey, guys! Are we going to have dinner soon? Or did you both already eat?" I wink.

Easton, throws back his head laughing. Mya looks at me shaking her head and trying not to smile. "Behave." Truex, says also trying not to smile.

"The steaks and corn are on the grill. Baked potatoes are already done." Kevin states, walking in from the patio.

"Can I help with anything?" I ask.

He smiles at my offer, "Yeah, next time warn me." He states, his eyes narrowing.

I bite my lip. "Sorry, one of you had to be sacrificed. I like you and all, but we just met. I have to sleep with this one." I tell him, sadly.

He chuckles and shakes his head. "You're adorable."

"Next person to say adorable gets their ass kicked!" Truex threatens loudly. Making all of us jump.

I smile up at him, "I'm going to have to say it. I don't respond well to threats." I warn him, smirking.

"Don't do it, babe."

"But-" He slaps my ass hard.

"Dinner is done. Get your plates and whatever you want to drink." Kevin orders, amused.

We make our plates and go to the dinning room table. Kevin is the first person to break the silence. "You both met through Mya, right?" He asks, me.

"Yeah, it was love at first sight." I tease, batting my eyes lashes at Truex.

He scowls. "For one of us it was."

I scoff. "Bull, it was a mutual hatred that developed into friendship, then fuc-, more than friends." I say, almost blurting out the word fuck buddies.

He glares, "No, thats not how it happened."

"Lets hear your side then." Easton, encourages smirking.

"I was set on having her from the first time I met her. When she fought me every step of the way, I started to agree with whatever she said just to make her my friend. Then made my move." He states, smugly.

"Awe, how adorable." I say, smothering a smile.

I hear his silverware hit his plate and my chair pulled out. He picks me up throwing me over his shoulder and slaps my butt. Then starts to walk down the hallway and I start to squirm.

"Truex!" I yell, alarmed. He opens a door and slams it shut. He puts me down in front of him.

"Show me how adorable I am." He demands, his eyes meeting mine challenging me. I tilt my head to the side to find any trace of teasing. He doesn't move, I shrug and back him up against the door. I kiss the middle of his chest and I lift the hem of his shirt finding the top of his shorts. I tug them down all while looking up at him. I drop to my knees, giving him exactly what he wants.
