I watch as the sales associate explains to Mya and Tate how to use the gift registry and I'm so into it. I look at Truex in awe, wondering if he thinks its as cool as I do.

"You're way too excited about this." He comments, clearly entertained. I nod wide-eyed and watch the rest of the exchange.

So, the bride and groom register for all the things they want as gifts using these scanners. Then after the wedding they get all this shit to, "start their lives together."

"I'm so getting married." I mention out loud. As Mya and Tate walk away surrounded by their friends.

"Would you two like to resister today, too?" The woman asks, I read her name tag, it says Brenda.

I don't hesitate. "Yes, please." I reply, before Truex can respond. I have to do it, when will I ever get another chance like this?

She asks us to fill out a registry form and I gladly do so. Putting our names and when were getting married. I picked August 5th hoping we don't look like we're registering too far away from our wedding date and hand it back to her. She doesn't comment as she hands us our scanners and a list of common items couples need. I can feel myself giddy with excitement when she gives me the device.

"I'll be around if you have any questions." She says, helpfully.

"Thanks, Brenda." I reply, walking away and scanning a expensive food processor. "I could make a crap load of salsa with this." Taking my imaginary registry seriously, I also scan a lava lamp (I've always wanted one) and an ab roller.

"I'm so gonna get abs, finally." I brag.

"A lava lamp?" He questions.

"You really think I could pass that up? Come on, honey. You have to help." I scold, loudly. Giving Brenda, the sales associate an affectionate smile. "Men, right?" She smiles knowingly in response.

We make our way down the bedding aisle for some reason he stops me from registering for a pink bed set. "What?" I ask, confused.

"I'm not sleeping on pink sheets." He argues.

I laugh at his disgusted look. "And why not?"

"Because its pink." He says, like his refusal should be obvious.

I arch my eyebrow and cross my arms, preparing for our first fight as a fake engaged couple. "I like it. I'm scanning it."

"No, scan the black one." He suggests.

"Last I checked, black isn't pink." I state, sarcastically.

"You wear more black than anyone I know." He points out.

"Yes, but I sleep in pink." I argue.

"What the hell are you guys doing?" Mya asks, coming around an end-cap.

I scoff. "Truex, refuses to sleep on pink sheets. He's being a real guy about it." I answer, irritated.

"I meant, what are you doing registering for gifts?" She questions, trying not to laugh.

"Oh, that. Well, it looked like fun. I guess I kinda told Brenda that Truex and I we're getting married. So, August 5th, save the month." I announce.

"Its, save the date." Truex corrects.

"Thanks." I say, scanning the pink bedding.

"Who's Brenda?"

"The woman handing out these things." I reply, holding up my scanner. Truex takes it from me and rescans the bedding. Effectively deleting it from our registry. "Hey!" I yell, as he scans the black and grey set. Mya stands there looking at us like we're crazy. "What one did you pick?" I inquire, curiously.

She shakes her head, "The white and blue set over here." She points and I go around to see.

"Oh, I like this one better. Honey, come look." I call, jokingly. I see Sarah nudge Becca who is looking at pillow cases with Anna.

"Its better than pink." He remarks, looking at the bedding.

"Where's Tate?" I question, scanning the white and blue set.

"Him and the boys found some massage chair, they're taking turns on." She replies, not sounding too happy about it.

I turn to Truex excited, "We need one of those too." And he nods in full agreement.

"Wait, what's going on?" Becca asks, confused.

"Truex and I are registering for our wedding. June 5th." I explain.

"August 5th." He corrects.

"I mean August 5th. So, save the date." I state, looking at him. "Impressed I got that right?" I ask, proud of myself.

"Very." He answers, smirking.

"Is this for real?" Sarah remarks, annoyed.

"No, they're joking around." Mya answers for us, moving back to the pillow section.

"Honey, they don't believe in our love." I respond, dramatically.

"We'd last way longer than them." He comments, earning a glare from Mya. I elbow him, knowing she hates when we say anything about her and Tate. "Its true. I mean we're registering together, while he plays grab ass with a massage

chair." He mutters, I watch Mya walk away angrily.

I glare at him. "Truex Thurgood Marshall!"

"My middle name is, James." He corrects, amused.

"Truex James Marshall. You should be ashamed of yourself." Slapping his arm. "You know she's sensitive about him."

"What'd I do? Besides tell her the truth?" He states, firmly.

"You have to go apologize." I order, not commenting on the fact that he's right. Tate should be with her, not off with his friends. He just shrugs, so I walk away. I find a full size bed on display and climb onto it. Laying down I sigh loudly. "Omg. This is so much nicer than my bed at home." I groan.

"What's wrong with your bed? Is that why you've been sleeping on the couch?" He questions, truly surprised. Obviously, he's never slept on that bed and if he's had people over they've never complained.

"That bed is worse than the floor." I grumble, ready for a nap.

"I'm going to find, Mya." He tells me, before he walks away.

"That's a good boy." I reply, keeping my eyes closed. Just five minutes.

I feel someone rubbing my back and I open my eyes to see Truex. "Time to go." He says, looking towards the door.

I yawn and sit up, blinking the sleep out of my eyes. "Oh, no we didn't even make it to towels." I whine.

We drive to the restaurant where Mya made reservations and get seated at a table right away. I can sense Mya is still upset with Truex, but I don't know if she's mad at me too. "Did you apologize to her?" I question him quietly.

"No." He answers, honestly.

Irritated I ask, "Why not?" And he just shrugs. I shrug back at him, mimicking how stupid he looks every time he does it.

"You better be nice the rest of the day." I warn, not in the mood.

"Or what?" He asks, challenging me.

I tilt my head looking up to him sweetly. "Or I'll start sending out save the months."

"Dates."

"Exactly." I say, ruining the threat but still getting my point across.

"You probably don't even remember the date."

"I do. Its, August." I reply, crossing my fingers it wasn't June.

"August, what?"

I think back trying to recall. "Fifth!" I shout, happily. "August 5th." I repeat, looking at the menu smugly.

"What happens on August 5th?" Tate asks, curiously from across the table.

"We'll be getting married that day if he doesn't watch his mouth." I answer, adding. "Mya, Truex apologizes for what he said earlier. You know how sensitive he is about our relationship." I state, elbowing him in the ribs.

"That's a harsh punishment. What the hell did you say?" Tate asks, looking at Truex.

"Nothing that needs to be repeated." I answer, before Truex can respond. Mya smiles at me gratefully. There, peace has been restored.
