Give me your body and let me love you like I do

Come a little closer and let me do those things to you

This feeling will last forever, baby, that's the truth

Let me be your man so I can love you

"I'm sorry, Mr. Princely, but the festive season's already began and we can't move your booking up. We can move it to the next year, would that be fine?" The receptionist lady from our doctor's office said.

I was trying to reschedule an appointment but it seems quite impossible because Christmas is practically 5 days away. I sighed heavily.

Harley and I can't go to that appointment with our relationship hanging on a single thread like this. I have to figure something out to make her see that I really am sorry and my intentions weren't to her.

Now she feels that I run a dictatorship and I don't.

I want our relationship to be equal. No power imbalance and I need to find a way to show her that we are equal in this relationship.

I love Harley and I don't think I'd be able to live with myself if I lost her to something like this.

"No, we'll pitch up tomorrow," I told the lady and we bid good days and hung up.

This isn't good.

I sat back in the couch and looked around the library. It's kind of funny how Harley has a room full of different kinds of books but she hardly ever reads.

I remember back in high school where she was basically the prettiest girl in school without even trying. I don't even think she knew that she was pretty. Even now, I don't think she knows her beauty. But then again I don't think I let her know how much I appreciate her beauty and her personality.

That's it!

I don't think Harley feels like I appreciate her what she does. Maybe that's why she feels like I'm undermining her.

I scrolled through my phone and called one of my good friends Tobey. I don't have a lot of friends because my twin brother has always been my friend growing up.

The phone rang four times until Tobey picked up. "Long time since I've heard from you, Valentine," he answered smugly and I laughted wholeheartedly.

Apart from Harley, Tobey also liked teasing me by calling me Valentine.

"I knlw buddy, I've just been so busy and I've had so much to take care of," I told him. "Tobey, tell me. Do you still that really fancy hotel of yours the one that's like what, the tallest in New York?" I asked. I needed to have something done for Harley to get her to ease her anger at me.

"Definitely. Want me to hook you up to something good?" He answered with some excitement.

"Yeah, definitely. I've gotten myself in deep water with my lady and I need to plqn out something romantic for her," I heard his laugh on the other side of the line.

"I know what you mean there, brother," he chuckled. "Yeah, how is Sofia anyways?" I asked. "She's fine, Chancellor's got her on her feet but she's amazing," I nodded even though he can't see me.

"Okay man, I can definitely hook you up for the roof top around, eight. Everything will be set up and you'll have waitors there for service. Do you want a room?" I knew fpr a fact that he had a smug smirk on his face right now.

"Sure, why not? I'll deposit the fee right now," I told and he whined deeply.

"Come on, Valerie, pay for what? I'm your mate," he said and I smile happily.

"Okay, thanks a lot Tobes," we bid our goodbyes and hung up.

I sighed in relief and checked the time. It's almost four thirty pm. I got up and headed back to Harley's office with high hopes now.

I knocked and walked in when she told me to come in. "I want to take you out tonight," I told and she lazily rose her head from the papers.

"Whatever," she shrugged and I felt a tug in my chest. "What time?" She stared me with a bored expression.

"Be ready by seven pm, please?" She shrugged and I swallowed the lump in my throat. I walked out of her office and shouted over my shoulder, "I'm going out, I'll be back soon!"

I headed down to the hotel garage and hopped in my car. I roared it to life with so much more hopes than I've since the panic attack.

I swifted kindly through the New York streets to the American Swiss Jewelry store at the mall.

I pulled on my shades and a cap on to hide my identity before heading inside.

"Evening sir, welcome to American Swiss Jewelry store, where you can get the finest for yourself or someone you love," the jeweler greeted me and I nod.

"Hi, I would like to see your promise rings," I told her and she pulled them out. She looked through three cases of huge and small diamond, gold, emerald and even ruby rings.

After what felt like I hour I sigh in exhaustion. None of the rings here seem to be fitting for Harley. They aren't exactly giving the message I want to convey to her. I sigh and looked down at the other rings the cabinets until one caught my attention.

It was a beautiful Infinity Skinny Ring. It had about five Infinity signs with the middle one coated in diamonds. It was beautiful, perfect and simple. It wasn't blinding like the others that I say and I loved because I knew Harley wasn't really the all glitter and glamorous girl. And I loved that about her.

"That one," I said and the lady looked at me with some skepticism before handing it over to me. "This is it, it's perfect, " I told her and she nodded hesitantly.

She went and got a velvet box and put in there after I paid. I took the plastic bag and thanked the lady before walking out to my car.

Instead of going back to Harley's place I went back to my house. The house was empty and quiye lonely. I'm so used to having Harley here that it feels weird being here without her.

I headed straight to the master bathroom and took a good shower. After showering I put on an all black slim fit Armani Tuxedo. I combed my hair back before gelling it back in place.

When I checked the time it was almost seven pm. I headed out and got car and headed over to Harley's.

When I got to her apartment I ringed the bell instead of just walking in. She opened the door almost immediately.

Her eyes widened slightly when she saw but recovered quickly. "You're two minutes late," she said and I chuckled.

"Reservations are at eight," I told and she just blinked.

I looked at her outfit and she looked very beautiful. She had on a quite red pantsuit with a black dress shirt. Her pregnancy belly looked very cute. She had a large coat in her hand and she closed the door behind her as she stepped out of her apartment.

"You look...incredible," I told and her she rolled her eyes with a small smile.

We headed down to the car and I opened her door for her and she hoped in. When we were all buckled up we drove in quite silence to Tobey's hotel.

We arrived a few minutes before eight and checked in. We rod the elevator with a waitress in silence. When we reached the rooftop Harley gasped at the scene.

"This is beautiful," she breayhed out. I had a feeling she'd love the view as well as the romantic setting.

We took our seats and ordered.

"This view is beautiful. And the setting, it's all beautiful," she said as we awaited our food and I agreed.

"I wasn't able to rescheduled because of the holidays so we have no other choice but to go tomorrow afternoon," I told and she nodded tightly. "Harley, I wanted to bring you here because I don't like this fighting thing we have going on. It's stressing not only you but the babies," she opened her mouth to argue back but I cut her off.

"And before you say anything, you were right. I am in the wrong and I see that you feel there's an imbalance of equality in the relationship," I told her and the waitress came back with our food.

We thanked her and started eating. "Harley," I stood up and went to her side. I knelt down on knee and she looked at me warily. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done what I did. I should've consulted with you first before doing any crazy things because how will we be a gold parenting team if I or even you just does something without consulting the other?"

I pulled out the velvet box from my pocket. "Harley, I love you, so so much that my heart feels like it's going to burst everytime I see you," I open the box and she gasped. "I'm not asking you to marry me because I know that you're not ready but I am asking for your forgiveness. I'm also asking that you take my promise that I'll consult with you on big decisions, always," I looked up at her nervously.

She stared at me with an open mouth without word. That made me nervous, her not saying anything. "Will you let me make that promise?" I asked her again and she started nodding a lot.

"I forgive, you. But next time–" she started but I shut her up with a kiss.

"There will be no next time, Harley."
