《Not Friends》The day.

Today's the day.

I'm honestly incredibly excited but somehow nervous.

I've done this a lot of times but I've never done it hiding my pregnancy or even pregnant.

My hotel's renovation has finally been completed.

Thousands of people are coming to see my new hotel in Toronto and it's truly nerve wracking.

At this point I'm about four months pregnant and my belly is growing by the day like I wanted it to but now it's a little too visible in a tight dress, if I can even fit into one.

So I had to get a crew of stylists and makeup artists to work my fat and ugly ass to beauty.

When they were finished with me, I couldn't believe their magnificent work.

They put a lot tight things on me but not to too tight.

They had dressed me in a navy blue mermaid dress that has spaghetti straps and a low cut back.

Looking at me you wouldn't suspect that I'm actually pregnant.

I even look skinnier that when I attended the last gala that brought up my pregnancy conspiracy to the public.

I walk down the stairs with my clutch bag in hand as Valentino waits for me at the bottom of the stairwell.

He stares up at me with those eyes.

I flash him a cute smile and he grins.

"Sadly we can't go together to the opening or people will get suspicious." I frown slightly.

He nods with a frown too.

I lean in and give him a soft tender kiss on the lips and he responds by deepening the kiss.

These are my favorite kisses when he kisses me like it's our last time together.

And I hate the way I feel about these small meaningless things because we agreed to being strictly co-parents with a bit, maybe a lot of sex on the side.

I pull from the kiss and almost hate myself for it.

"We need to get going." I say and we head down to our cars.

The drive to the new hotel isn't too long and I soon arrive in front of the hotel with a red carpet rolled out in the front.

There's a red ribbon in front of the doors to the grand opening of the hotel.

My chauffeur opens my door and I step out of the car into a swarm of blinding flashlights and deafening clicks of cameras with a mix of shouted of questions.

"Harley, Harley!" I slowly but sure walk up the stairs to where the entrance is and look down at the crowd before me.

I step towards my assistant who hands me a huge scissor to cut the red bow in front of the doors.

"Evening everyone." I said a little loudly so most of the people could hear me.

"We're all here to present the new Lerato Hotel!" I said and people cheered.

I cut the ribbon with a huge smile. "Lerato Hotel is now officially OPEN!" I smiled brightly and we entered the hotel and head straight to the ballroom.

Everyone settled into the well decorated ballroom and I stepped up to the stage and silence engulfed the room.

"Thank you all for making it to the opening of Lerato Hotel. I'm sure you're all wondering what Lerato means." I smile and a few chatter in between. "Well to stop you all from picking your brains." Some people chuckled. "Lerato means, Love. As can seen this is an incredibly romantically set hotel thanks to the interior designer. I chose to name this hotel after my grandmother. She passed on a few years back but she was a woman of love. She loved love." I chuckled to myself with the crowd. "And she never forgot to show love and that's why you are now in Lerato's hotel." I raised my Champagne glass. "This is to love and not just romantic love but family love, companionship love and what the world needs the most, universal love." I finished off and everyone applauded.

"So please, help yourselves with the buffet and the let's make memories in this hotel. Room bookings are now available." I stepped off the stage to mingle with people as they congratulated me and complimented the hotel.

I was talking to the Mayor of Toronto when someone–I'd always prayed to not–called my named.

I apologized to the mayor and he smiled and left without complaint.

"Would you look at that. Harley actually went and built a name for herself." The man sneered.

I put on a very fake smile to stop from creating a scandal.

"Jermaine Kimes. How can I help you?" I raised an eyebrow all the while fake smiling.

"I don't know. Maybe you could help out the fam and the media won't hear about you and I's relationship." He shrugged.

"Seriously, Jermaine?" I scoff through clenched teeth in a fixated fake smile.

"Yes really. Because last time I checked you were supposedly knocked up. I personally thought it'd your third child with different baby daddies." He rudely remarked.

"And here I thought you were probably in some dark apartment dying from some sexually transmitted disease because of the whore you are." I shrug with more of a sardonic smile.

He clenched his teeth with a dark look over his face.

"I dare you to call me that, one more time." He threatened and my heart rate quickened.

Jermaine was a college boyfriend who also happened to be an abusive cheating manwhore.

He'd fuck anything with a vagina and got upset when he got caught.

I'd dated him for about a year and can I say that year was the worst year of my life. The guy threatened to kill me if I told on him and guess what I did? I shut the fuck up. And why wouldn't I? The man was involved in some gang shit.

How'd I escape? I broke it off and ran away to begin my career before he could even blink.

"Jermaine, I will call security." I was now serious and mainly scared for my life.

"You wouldn't dare." He now smirked.

"Harley, Snart. A word please?" Valentino interjected and I nearly sighed in relief.

"I'm still having conversation with Harley over here." Jermaine shot with venom.

Valentino didn't even seem bothered by the bits.

"Okay, conversation just ended now." His tone ice cold that I had to stifle a shiver.

Jermaine turned back to me with a ice cold glare that made fear shiver up my spine.

"Watch your back Harley." He lowly said so that only I can hear him and turned back to Valentino.

"All yours." He smiled at Tino and gave me once last glance, or glare per say.

I physically shivered when he was out of sight and Tino took me and let me towards the elevator.

All this time, I couldn't think about anything but Jemaine's words.

Watch your back.
