《The Ride to Love》The Soccer Game... And Other Things

"Yeah, Jameson," I find myself screaming out to the field. I've never been into soccer before. In high school I even called the players 'field fairies,' but now I regret that. I've gotten so into this damn game, even if it is just a bunch of middle-schoolers running around, not entirely sure what they're doing. "You got this!"

"Calm down, Corina! They're kids, not professionals , idiot," Ryder says to me with his smirk.

"She's doing so well though!" I argue back. "She's scored a couple of goals! Have you not been watching?"

"Hell no," he snorts. "I only came because you wanted to."

"You should support your sister, you know," I retort, nudging him. He mumbles a 'whatever' and returns to his phone.

The game soon comes to an end, with Jameson's team absolutely dominating the other. She runs up to me with a proud smile, and I return it. "I heard you yelling for me! None of them ever do that for me," she says, nodding her head toward her family.

I laugh and shoot Ryder a glare. "You deserved it kid, you did great down there!" Now she's hugging me tightly with glee.

"Jameson," Rachel says sternly, "let Corina go. You can't be wiping all your sweat on her! Ryder tells me they're going on a date after this."

"You're not coming to dinner with us?" Jameson asks with a sad look.

I crouch down to her height, which isn't very far. Either she's tall for her age, or I'm short. Looking at the rest of her family, I see they are all quite tall, so I'm assuming it's the ladder. "Next time, alright?" She nods happily, then skips off to the van.

"See you guys later," Ryder shouts to his family as he whisks me away to Kyle's car. Thankfully his brother was kind enough to let us borrow his car for the evening. "You ready?"

"You bet," I say with a wink. "What's the plan?"

"You'll see," he replies, winking back.

We pull into his parents' driveway, solar lights lighting the path. Getting out of the car, I can't help but get curious. "We're just skipping straight to home? No dinner or anything first?"

"Dinner is here, idiot," he replies, walking up to the door. I follow behind, and when he opens the door, my breathing comes to a halt.

Beautiful flickering candles are placed all throughout the visible areas, with two large ones in the middle of the dinner table. On either side of the table lays two plates of spaghetti, just like our first date. "How?" I ask in surprise.

"I had some help from some friends while we were at the game," He replies while kicking off his shoes. "They now say I owe them big time before we leave."

"I'd love to meet them," I add, placing my shoes next to his and venture over to the table.

"I'd planned on it." He's sitting in front of me now, smiling sweetly at me. "Cheers."

I hold my glass up to his. "To what?"

"To my parents hopefully not dragging everyone home too early." I smirk to him, and he returns it as we clink glasses.

Dinner was spent in a comfortable silence as we enjoyed our meals. Ryder's spaghetti is the best, with his homemade sauce he still hasn't taught me how to make. I thought he was supposed to teach me how to cook, not tease me by making amazing food. For now, this will do, though.

"What's next on the agenda?" I ask as we rinse off our plates. He simply smirks, coming close to me. He stares deeply into my eyes, his smirk creeping onto his face. He slowly gets closer and closer, and soon our foreheads are touching.

He says nothing, but his response is in his eyes: dark and desperate. This is the moment we've been waiting for ever since we first laid eyes on each other, whether we knew it then or not. His lips soon slam onto mine, and we're kissing in the kitchen. I grin, thinking of how amazing this moment is.

He parts his lips, begging me for more, and I give in. Soon our tongues are intertwining with each other, those disgusting but amazing sounds of our lips departing then reconnecting filling the quiet room. He makes his way down to my neck, sending shivers down my spine. "Ryder," I whisper out, desperate for more. He pulls away, smirking, then grabs me by my butt, lifting me up. I wrap my legs around his waist, kissing him again with a passion I didn't know I had.

My back slams against the fridge, knocking down some magnets and pictures. I break away, looking down to the floor and start to laugh. Soon he follows, but slams his lips back to mine as he bends at the knees to pick up the fallen items. "Gotta pick up the evidence," he whispers into my ear, and I shiver again, my lips falling to his neck. I breathe out heavily, then leave butterfly kisses up to his jawline. "Fuck," he mumbles out, throwing his head back.

"If you like that, then you just wait," I whisper seductively, and soon we're back to full on making out, making our way through the hallway. I tug at his shirt, and he pulls back so I can lift it up, revealing his glorious midriff. My eyes scan him, and he hurriedly lifts his shirt the rest of the way off with a smirk.

He opens the door to his bedroom, then quickly kicks it shut. Throwing his shirt somewhere, I begin to take mine off, but get it stuck somehow. He laughs at me, untangling it from my face as he kisses my collarbones. "You're so damn beautiful," he whispers as he ogles my body. "How did I get so lucky?" His gaze slowly makes its way to my eyes, and I smile.

"More like how did I get to lucky?" I reply as he sets me down onto his bed. I grab his belt, slowly unbuckling it as I feel his breath hitch. I tease him, slowly undoing the button and zipper on his pants, and he groans.

"Fuck you," he groans as I finally finish the zipper, and I wink at him. "You're teasing me on purpose."

"Now why would I do that?" I ask sarcastically, pulling down his pants. Wow is all I can say to the sight before me. I look up to see him smirking at me cockily, my wide eyes meeting his hungry ones.

"Your turn," he says seductively as he starts on my jeans. I lean back, and feel them slide off. "Damn."

I reach up, then pull him down on top of me, needing his warmth. "Let's do this, idiot." His eyes widen with surprise at my bluntness, but soon go back to the darkness they were once before.

I awake the next morning feeling so refreshed, like the stress had left. I guess everything we did last night was exactly what I needed, maybe even more than what a nice ride on my Harley would have done. I observe the room, seeing our clothes scattered everywhere, everything from his dresser knocked onto the floor. Remembering our activities, I lay back with satisfaction. I've done this before, but it never felt this amazing, never made me feel so loved and appreciated.

"Good morning, beautiful," Ryder whispers groggily into my ear.

"Well good morning to you," I say, rolling over to kiss him. "Sorry about my morning breath."

"No, sorry about mine," he says, then breaths out heavily onto my face, making me gag.

"Asshole!" I yell, smacking him with a pillow from the floor. He just snickers, then makes his way to his ensuite bathroom, still undressed. I silently look him over, taking in his beauty. This man truly was beautiful, inside and out.

"You coming or not?" he asks, sticking his head out of the doorway. "I'm showering, and I think you would make a great addition." He winks, and I scurry out of bed, rushing to the bathroom with excitement.

"So, how was your date?" Rachel asks sweetly, and Ryder and I stop dead in our tracks as we make our way to the table with our plates of breakfast in hand. Kyle laughs out at us, clearly knowing what happened. Doesn't this boy have his own house?

"Uh," Ryder says, unsure what to say.

"G-great!" I say, obviously hiding what happened.

"Mom," Kyle barely squeaks out between laughs. Soon Rachel's face contorts to recognition, then she blushes.

"Oh," she eventually murmurs before putting her head in her hands. "I probably should've got that when Ryder said to make sure to stay out as long as possible..." Kyle only laughs more, and I blush as bright red as ever. I'm half tempted to run away, but Ryder puts his hand on my back, guiding me to the table. I give him a stern look, indicating I really don't want to go there, but he shrugs it off.

"So, tell me, Corina," Kyle says after he calms down, "does my brother live up to expectations?" I nearly choke on my omelette at his words, and Rachel smacks him in the back of the head.

"What? I just wanted to make sure Ryder didn't pussy out and fuck everything up with her! We like this one!"

"Language!" Rachel says. "The kids may not be here, but you know that will not be tolerated in this house." Kyle just rolls his eyes and looks to me expectantly.

Gaining some confidence, I sit up straight. "I don't kiss and tell." I shovel some bacon into my mouth, moaning at the taste just loud enough for Ryder to hear, and I see him squirm in his seat.

I guess I wasn't as inconspicuous as I thought, because sure enough Kyle caught on. "Mom, they're practically doing it right in front of us!"

"Jesus, Kyle, do you ever just shut the fuck up?" Ryder says grimly, still staring down to his plate in embarrassment. Rachel just gives him the typical mom look, then returns back to her own meal, hopefully ignoring the conversation. I know I wish I could. "You act like a teenage virgin every time the topic of sex is brought up." I stay quiet, just staring between the two brothers going back and forth.

"It's my expertise," Kyle retorts, putting his hands behind his head. "Sex and annoying the shit out of you."

"Boys!" Rachel yells, glaring at them, thankfully putting an end to this terrible topic.

"Don't you two have your class this morning?" I ask, hoping the previous subject stays put away.

"Yeah, it starts at eleven," Kyle says. "You coming?"

"I don't know if you've realized, but I'm kind of a master at the whole 'riding a motorcycle' thing." I scoff at him even thinking I'd need a course.

"She's so good it's scary." Ryder pipes in. "She took me on a ride once, and she leaned so hard the pegs scraped the road. I thought we were going down."

"If you're not scraping, you're not having fun," I add in with a smile. "I might go to the shop with you guys and rent a bike while you're busy."

"I still can't believe you got on the back of a motorcycle while your girlfriend rode you around," Kyle says. "Heh, rode you around." He laughs at himself, and this time I smack his head. "Ouch, you're getting too comfortable here. It's like you're already part of the family." I smile at the thought of ever being a part of the Cunningham family, and chuckle at the thought of ever being nervous about meeting them.

Lmao that was so awkward for me to write. The whole time I was typing, my husband was laying beside me asleep and all I could think was 'what if he woke up and saw me writing this?'

I got through it though, so that's cool!

Sorry it's kind of a short chapter, but there was nothing else I felt like adding in.
