《Storm Drains (pennywise love fan-fic) *completed*》Chapter 54

I sighed in relief when I made it out of the dark tunnels. I looked around and realized the heavily wooded area was just as dark, maybe even darker.

It was excruciatingly cold and I only had a simple long sleeve on me. I held my arms close to each other in order to regain some warmth. My breath fogged the air in front of me as the quiet of the night followed behind my every footstep.

I didn't exactly know what I planned to do, but I knew I had to bring something back for Penny. I even thought about maybe hunting an animal and feeding him that, at this point I thought maybe he couldn't even tell the difference, due to how weak he was, but I knew he was smart enough to realize what I had done.

I continued to walk through the silent trees trying to think of something. Before I knew it, I had found myself standing in front of a silent street, not a single soul to be found. I sighed in frustration as I looked around at all the dark houses. Everyone was in bed by now, making me grow more anxious to find something...anything.

Do I sneak into someone's home and... kill them?

Do I lure them in with something?

Maybe a drunk college boy?

Numerous thoughts and ideas raced through my mind as I walked down the silent street. I probably looked like a crazy person but that was the least of my worries now.

I never thought I'd find myself in this predicament. This is something that only happened in horror movies, or something that came up on the news, a story about a murderous couple. But that couldn't be me, that's something that happened miles away from here. In big cities like New York or Los Angeles, hell even somewhere in Europe. A small town I couldn't even pronounce, but not here, not Derry, not me.

After walking for a bit longer, I found myself in front of a dark alley. I hadn't realized how dangerous it really was that I was walking around at night, alone. I would be an easy target. A small framed girl walking around alone in the dark night. I hadn't realized that Penny wouldn't be able to save me this time. I was alone.

All alone.

I turned around, deciding I would head the opposite way and not be the stupid girl who takes the dark alley way shortcut. As soon as I took a step, a loud sound made me snap my head around.

There in the middle of the dark I could make out two silhouettes. I took a step closer, my eyes squinting so that I could get a better look. I couldn't describe their facial features but I could tell it was a man and a woman.

The taller silhouette which I assumed was the man, pushed the smaller silhouette against the wall. They were laughing and I could tell they were completely drunk. I could hear whispers but couldn't make out what they were saying.

Suddenly the laughter stopped and soon became grunts of struggles. The taller silhouette began to aggressively grope the smaller one and I could hear a female voice pleading to stop.

I felt my body freeze as I realized I was about to witness a sexual assault, or even worse.

HELP HER

My head screamed at me but I couldn't move. The girl continued to struggle, as my eyes watered.

After a couple seconds, I could feel my body regain consciousness and found myself lunging towards the couple. Suddenly a large light illuminated the alley way and I realized someone had opened the door to some type of bar that the alleyway connected with. I could now see the couple clear as day. The girl, brown hair and dark eyes, was held against the wall, her top completely ripped as the man tried to pull it off of her. The man wore all black, his hair blonde as the sun. He had an aggressive demeanor as he continued to pin the girl against the wall. They both turned to look at the opened door. They looked like deers caught in headlights.

Out came a larger man, looking angry as hell. I froze once again, but not due to fear, more like curiosity.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" The larger man screamed at the other guy. The girl slipped away from the blonde guys grip and ran towards the larger man. She lifted her arms against the man, trying to stop him from getting closer to the blonde guy.

"Please Rob it's fine, stop, I'm fine!" She pleaded with the man as he continued to ignore her and walked angrily towards the blonde man.

"I told you that you had to pay, you can't get the goods for free" Rob sneered as he put his hands on the blonde man, pushing him against the wall.

"My girls don't give free services" Rob snapped as he pushed the blonde man onto the floor. I could see the female fix her hair, trying to make herself presentable before entering the bar again.

"She's a prostitute! It shouldn't matter you whore!" The blonde man yelled at the woman, only causing Rob to grow angrier.

A sudden gleam of light caught my eye. I stood confused as I watched Rob punch the blonde man in the stomach, causing him to scream out. My eyes widened as I realized the man was holding onto his stomach. He lifted his hand up, checking it and I almost gasped at the heavy amount of blood.

"Rob! Rob!" The woman cried out trying to drag him out of the alley and onto the opposite way of the bar. Rob continued to look at the man on the floor with anger, holding the small knife he had used to stab him. Blood on his hand and weapon.

"Rob we have to go!" The woman yelled as she tugged onto his arm. The man finally turned around, acknowledging the woman. I stood completely still as I saw both of them quickly make their way out of the alley and into the darkness of the night, never to be seen again.

"That's right! Leave you cunts!" The man yelled before he threw his head back and grunted in pain. He coughed harshly, holding tightly onto the wound on his stomach.

I took a huge breath before making my way towards him. His head turned around as he heard the gravel crunch under my footsteps.

"Aren't you a beauty" he said as he winced.

"You're here to give me my money's worth or what?" He said harshly. I almost gagged at his inappropriate remarks. Without saying a single word, I pulled off the bandana he was wearing and tried to wrap it around his mouth. At first he tried to fight me, but I guess the pain from his stab wound needed his attention more.

5 minutes in and I found myself dragging him down the dark and silent street. I could hear his muffled yells but I blocked them out with the silence of the night.

I was shaking and absolutely scared out of my mind but I knew I had to do this. Dragging his heavy body into the woods was extremely difficult and I often found myself falling back multiple times. I knew my legs and arms were going to be sore and bruised up by tomorrow morning. Halfway there, I looked down and realized the man had knocked out but he was visibly breathing. I wondered if he had fainted due to blood loss or for being extremely drunk.

I almost cried out in relief when I saw the familiar tunnel opening. The murky water made it easier to carry him towards the lair. I prayed that I remembered how to get there.

We had been in the tunnels for about 20 minutes and panic began to set in. We were lost and soon this man would wake up and maybe have enough strength to fight me, so I hoped he fainted due to blood loss and not because he was drunk. I didn't want him to wake up and come to realize he was sober.

I sat down on the edge of cement as I bit my lip to stop from crying. The man floated neatly on top of the gross water, unaware of the events that surrounded him.

I heard a faint splashing noise come from afar. I looked up, tears brimming my eyes. I felt like a failure and if Penny had to save me from this one again, I'd completely give up.

"Darling" I heard the familiar voice call out as the splashing sounds grew closer. My head fell back as I sighed in defeat and frustration. Penny had found me and now I felt dumb.

"What did you do?" Penny asked. He was now feet away from me and even with my head back and eyes closed, I could sense his eyes on me.

"What is that?" He asked and I knew he was referring to the floating body that laid in front of me.

"A man" I said with a sigh as I forced myself to look at him.

"Did you kill him?" Penny said sounding a little too enthusiastic.

"Not exactly" I said as I pushed the man towards Penny. The body floated gently as it landed before Penny's feet. He looked down at it with a slightly disgusted face.

"His blood is not pure" Penny said as he picked the body up with no problem. Man was I jealous of his strength. Even in his weakest time, he was still a hundred times stronger than me.

I followed Penny all the way back to the lair, which wasn't far from where I got lost. I saw him throw the body down onto the hard floor as the man grunted in pain. He ripped of the bandana that I had sloppily tied around his mouth.

"What the hell" the man said as he squinted to get a better view of Penny.

"You might not want to see this darling" Penny said as he walked towards me. I nodded in agreement Penny began to drag the man into a nearby tunnel to feast. I looked at him as his body began to disappear into the darkness. I was about to turn around when Penny appeared once again at the edge of the tunnel.

We looked at each other for what felt like eternity before I broke the silence.

"Penny" I said quietly, he looked as if he was debating on saying something. Before I could speak up again, he cut me off.

"I love you doll"

"And I'd die for you" he said.
