Some heartfelt stuff for ya :)
____________________________________________________________________________
It was a week after Y/n has gotten questioned by the police due to the incident that occurred the days prior. She was shut in her house locked away from the world.
If her mother wasn't already protective, this made it even worse. News reporters constantly flocked the neighborhood to ask around what happened that very night. It was a good thing none of them knew that Michael was her friend, otherwise the harassment would've been relentless. On the other hand, the kids at school definitely about the relationship between them.
Going back to school wasn't going to be easy to say the least.
Y/n sat in the kitchen watching the TV from the living room. Every station was reporting on what happened that night. It was inescapable. Not even the cartoons were running.
Y/n's mother was upstairs getting ready for the day, even when running errands she had to look all prettied up. She slowly ate her cereal as her mind wondered.
Suddenly, there were a few hard knocks on the door. Her mother came racing down the steps in her robe. She unlocked all the locks installed on the door and opened it. There were two men standing outside. One was a police officer in standard uniform while the other was wearing a cream colored trench coat with a sweater and khakis.
The officer didn't catch Y/ns attention, the one next to him did. He had grey hair on the sides of his head and a small mustache. The look on his face freighted her a bit.
"Good morning Miss L/n, my name is Doctor Samuel Loomis. We're here to see your daughter" he introduced himself.
The mothers response was immediate
"No, she's already been questioned by the police. We don't need publicity"
"But Miss L/n I insist. Y/n could be of serious help with this case" "Leave us alone, she's helped all she can!" The womans temper was already flying off the handle.
"You don't understand, She can help Michael-"
"I'm not endangering my daughter again, what do you plan on doing with her?"
Upon hearing Michael's name; Y/n had perked up and listened in on the conversation the two were having.

"Michael has shown interest in this girl and we could use her as a way for him to open up"
"So you just want to use her as a bargaining chip? Outrageous! Absolutely not!"
"Mom wait" the bickering stopped at the sound of the little girls voice. "Sweetie, the adults are talking-"
"So you're saying that I can help Michael and I can see him again?" Doctor Loomis nodded. He opened his briefcase and pulled out a notebook and pen. "I'd just like to start with a few questions"
"Sweetie are you sure?" Her mother worriedly fumbled. "Yes, I want to help him"
He kneeled down on one knee to level with Y/n. "What is Michael to you?"
And then it went on. A bunch of personal questions were all he asked including Michael's mannerisms. Doctor Loomis flipped the notebook back and stood up "That'll be all for now Y/n, you can go back inside. And Miss L/n may we speak with you for a moment"
Y/n awkwardly walked back into the kitchen and sat down waiting for her mother to return.
The door opened and slammed shut followed by a gasp. The mother had her palm to her forehead. "Mom?" "Yes sweetie?" "What were you guys talking about?" There was a pause before the woman answered "nothing you should worry about" she waved off Y/n before heading upstairs to finish getting ready.
All through the day Y/n felt something was off. Even with her McDonald's happy meal, her mind churned in dilemma.
"Sweetie, I have some good news" her mother started awkwardly while driving down the sunset lit road. Y/n tilted her head in reply.
"We'll be seeing Michael in the next few months. He's somewhere safe now"
The blood rushed to her cheeks as she smiled. "Really? Where are we going to meet him?" She swung her short legs back and forth. The mother paused "at the... hospital" "is he hurt?" Y/n asked worriedly, her innocent mind didn't know the truth yet. "No, It's not that kind of hospital"
Confusion twisted on the girls face. 'What kind of hospital is it then...' she thought. It didn't matter anymore. As long as she got to see Michael.

The months went along roughly, facing the wrath of her peers. It surprisingly didn't bother her that she didn't have any friends to turn to. She instead invested her time in school work and art.
They drove through the thickly wooded road. Hardly any cars passed. Just how far away is this hospital?
Finally, the made it to a chain gate with a security booth. Her mother said some inaudible words and the gate opened. Allowing them to enter.
The building infront of her looked more industrial and imposing than anything she's ever seen. If she hadn't known it was a hospital, she would've assumed it was a prison.
They both exited the car and entered the building. The mother finished signing in at the front desk and they were both handed visitor badges.
"Ah good to see you made it" a voice called out to them. Y/n turned her head in the direction of the voice. It was Doctor Loomis approaching them. "I'll be happy to guide you to where Michael is" "You better, this place is a maze" the mother retorted jokingly.
"Alright then, let's see that boy" he headed off in the direction that he came. Both of them followed closely behind. Y/n held onto her mothers side as they passed dozens of rooms.
Until they opened the doors to a new hallway with the sign above reading 'Adolescent Unit'
Y/n looked at the ground the whole time while walking through the winding hallways. They finally came to a stop at two large doors. "A few warnings before we head in. Try not to interact with the other patients. Do not use foul language while near the patients. And do not give Michael any unauthorized items"
The doors opened and there was Michael... sitting at a table next to a nurse while coloring sheets of paper. His face was covered with an orange mask made of newspapers.
"Michael?" Y/n called out to him, stepping infront of her mother. His head tilted up through the hair in his face and the holes in his mask, she could see his deep blue eyes. He stood up from his chair and quickly walked to her.
"What are you doing here?" Michael asked in a defensive tone. "I came to see you" the girl paused and took a deep breath "I missed you" she wrapped her arms around Michael. Doctor Loomis looked in shock. He wasn't the only one.
Michael stood there dumbfounded. Although not returning the favor- he was happy that Y/n was here. After all he'd done, she didn't seem to hold it against him?
"We're gonna hang out today. Let's have fun, Kay?"she said in his ear. He nodded and took her hand to show her around. Doctor Loomis and Y/ns mother followed closely behind
Michael showed her how to make masks, told her which cafeteria food he liked the best. They looked out the windows into the forest and played some hide n' seek. The time flew by very quickly when they were having fun.
Soon it reached the end of Y/ns visit. She sat next to Michael in the Cafeteria/Lobby making the most out of what time they had left. They were talking about horror movies, Michael being an expert told her about all of them. Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Thing. Y/n cringed at the details he explained "How do you remember all that stuff? It's grooosss" "They're really fun to watch I promise"
"I hate to intrude, but Y/n has to leave now" Doctor Loomis interrupted their conversation. They both looked at eachother before looking at Loomis. "Okay..." she responded hesitantly. Giving Michael one last warm squeeze
"Will you come back?" Michael asked. Y/n looked at him and smiled "Yeah" Michael's head slightly drooped, a smidge of disbelief still in his mind. "Next time I see you, I'll bring a horror movie. We can watch it together" he gave one last glance to her and nodded. She did the same and skipped to her mom.
"Thank you both for you coming. I hope to see you two again. You've helped Michael a lot today" Doctor Loomis said and slipped his handy notebook in his pocket.
Y/n looked back at Michael one last time.
"Bye Michael"
"Bye Y/n"
He slowly waved at her.
He slumped back in his seat sadly. Just like that he was alone again
