《Abyssal Attractions ( Yandere creature x reader)》In deep water

You snapped your eyes open and bolted up into a sitting position. Your body racking with coughs. Your throat felt tight and dry which was funny considering you were wet from head to toe. Your neck burned a little bit where Hoolan injected you with venom, but it was bearable. The air felt stagnant and dry though and the ground was hard underneath your body. Once the coughing fit passed you were able to look around.
Your e/c eyes scanned what you could see, you couldn't see much. It was dark, really dark. You knew you were in some type of cave there were stalagmites here and there and a couple of boulders strewn about. The cave was bowl-shaped with one end having a hole filled with water in it and the other too dark for you to see. The only way you were seeing what you did was some phosphorus rocks that lit up some of the cave. Casting the cave in an eerie blue glow.
A wave of dread washed over you as realized you couldn't see Hoolan anywhere. you shivered and found that you couldn't feel your feet, the cave was really cold. The thought that Hoolan was probably somewhere in the shadows, Watching you with pitch black eye's only made you colder. You didn't see him when you were taking in your surroundings but the phosphorus light didn't light the whole cave. You looked back over at the hole. The water looked obsidian black with hints of blue on the surface. Considering that you were wet, that was probably the entrance.
Against your better judgment, you made your way over to the hole, crawling on your hands and knees. Your teeth chattering from the cold that plagued your body. Your fingers were numb as well, you could see the red tint to them in what little light you had. You reached the edge and peered down. It looked like you were staring into a well of ink. Continuing to shiver, you took another crack at looking around.
There had to be a way out, you were just hoping that the ONLY way out was not the hole in front of you. You were about to get up and see if you could find anything at the back of the cave when bubbles started to roll on the surface of the waterhole. You quickly scooted away from the opening, your breaths starting to come in short, ragged heaves. You knew what was coming... or who was coming.

Your actions were brought to a halt as your back hit into a stalagmite jutting out of the ground. However, panic had its grip on you and wouldn't let you get up and run, much less look away from the hole. The bubbles stopped rolling and a second later a black tuft of hair rose from the water. Following it was eyes black as the water it came from. He didn't rise any further, he just stayed there, staring at you with just the top of his head out the water, from the bridge of his nose down he was still submerged.
It was a good minute of the two of you just staring at each other. You, not finding the courage to even breath, all the while he didn't blink, not once. Finally, the urge to breath overpowered your fear, and you let out a shaky breath. Once the noise was let out he started to rise even more from the black abyss. You inhaled sharply and turned to bolt away. But he was on you in the blink of an eye. Trapping you between him and the stalagmite.
" No! Stay away!" You screamed at him trying to shove him away but covering your face with your hands after realizing that that attempt was futile. He reached out with his right hand and cupped your chin in his palm. His hand was stiff as if he still hadn't figured out how to move the fingers properly yet. The skin felt off too. It didn't feel like human skin anymore, it was harder, more solid.
" Now hush, You know I'm not going to Hurt you." He said slowly in a deep guttural voice. It sounded nothing like Hubert's voice. You still didn't look at him, You couldn't look into the face of your friend, who was dead, but was being puppet-ed by some ungodly creature that was residing in his brain at the moment.
"Y/N." He said on a long hollow breath " Look at me." Your heart was hammering in your chest at this moment, you could barely breathe. It felt like you were slowly suffocating under his intense gaze. Afraid of what he might do if you didn't obey, you slowly raised your head and looked into his eyes. His face was unsettlingly close to yours, close enough you could feel his breath on your face. It smelled like death.

A smile slowly spread across his face as your eyes met his. you didn't know if it was supposed to be reassuring, but if it was, it had the exact opposite effect. His smile was all teeth, pointed and slightly stained red and black. Tears started to pour down your cheeks at this point.
" Why did you do it Hoolan?" You whispered out to him so quietly you almost thought he didn't hear you. However, his smile turned into a frown and he cocked his head to the side. He still hasn't blinked.
" They were going to take you away, I couldn't have that now could I? and the others, They weren't your friends, so easily leaving you behind. They got a fitting death, crushed by the pressure of the ocean." As he said that you let out a choked cry.
" They didn't deserve to die...Especially like that, None of them did."
The hand that cupped your cheek gripped a little harder, not to the hurting point, however. He brought his face closer to yours. You clenched your eyes shut and tried to turn your head, but his hand prevented you from going far with that. His forehead was now pressed to your temple and his nose was against your cheek.
" Everybody who does you wrong deserves to die." He said, his voice a couple of octaves lower. You felt his other hand start to stroke your hair. " anyone that looks at you deserves to die. Because you belong to me, and I am a very territorial creature." You felt something wet and slimy slide upside your face and screamed, finally at the breaking point.
" Get off of me!! Let me go!! Please!!" You screamed while thrashing around and trying to push him off of you. It was difficult though, he was as stiff as the stalagmite behind you and your hands were still cuffed together. After a while of doing this and absolutely getting nowhere you stopped your attempts at breaking free and just continued to cry. You were afraid.
He twitched hesitantly as if he was unsure about something, and then slowly wrapped his arms around you awkwardly, you could do nothing but cry into him. After your crying subsided into sniffles he pulled away and tilted your chin up so you could look into his eyes.
" You don't need to be afraid Y/N. Your safe here, I know it's not the best place for you, but it will be a good home for you, and if I need to I can make it a little different. I'll keep you safe here forever." You didn't respond, you didn't have the strength. The last day had been absolute Hell for you, you lost all your friends and was trapped here with a creature that had taken a violent obsession toward you. Would you ever be able to get out?.
"Here, let me get those off of you." He said lifting your arms up so he could grip the handcuffs. Your eyes widened in shock as his hands morphed into what resembled wire cutters but a more mutated monster like quality. He snapped the cuffs off of your wrists like they were nothing but seaweed. Everything he did made you all the more scared of him. He could morph into seemingly whatever he wants, Posses people. rip solid metal doors off of their hinges, poison his prey with multiple types of venom. What would be next? You had to admit though, your wrists did feel better with them off.
"H-Hoolan? You whispered out on a quiet note. His eyes flicked up to you, or at least you assumed they did, as his hands morphed back into what looked like human hands. What looked like Hubert's hands. You opened your mouth to continue but nothing came out. He seemed to know what you were gonna say though.
" Oh polyp, I may be what is considered a monster by your kind, but I still feel love, attraction, protectiveness. And you, you saw me as not a test subject, or an animal, but a friend. And you always treated me like one throughout the weeks I was with you. I've seen what most of the humans do, they take, and destroy... But you, you're different, your special." He grabbed your chin again and brought your face close to his. " And that was what made me make my decision, to take you, and keep you as my love. to be mine forever." and with that, he leaned in and pressed his mouth to yours in a gentle kiss.

The Beta Test
Our nameless narrator participates in a beta test for an early VRMMO game Meridian 60. That's not the real name but it captures the spirit of the adventure given the chronological and contextual era of the game. His character is unique and special but purely for mundane reasons and not because of any inherent or social significance. The first chapter which is mandatory to submit a story on RR serves as a bit of a prologue with some exposition, although I limited that to a reasonble level. I plan to begin releasing additional chapters starting Thursday, to align with the 48 hour submission approval process and also because I have something to do Wednesday. I haven't written anything but the summary and first chapter, nor have I plotted anything out. This is because my plan is to release roughly 34000 words a day, 10 chapters of ~12.5 pages each, for 3 days at which point the story will be complete. I'd have liked to plan for more but handling the interface tables and so forth needed for a data heavy litrpg slows down the writing process. 100k words is a bit short, a standard pre epic fantasy 300 page spec fic novel, but this is mostly a writing exercise and I am considering a longer project if I can maintain the pace. Probably do a different concept, maybe a dungeon core, over 5 days, since a 500 page novel is more common these days. Slight subversion of VRMMO stories Stat heavy/crunchy No paying your bills by gaming No out of game conspiracies No angst, interpersonal drama, or damsels/dudes in distress Schedule is 30000 words a day excepting the first chapter, a limitation of RRs fiction submission system Fantasy, high magic, male lead, no party, guild, or harem No gore, some profanity, no sexual content, and no current plans for anything traumatic
