Dylan's PoV
"I guess she's made us both lose control" I herd that sick fucking voice whisper somewhere in the shadows
Never before had me and him been togther.
It was either him or me. Him mostly. He is my fear. Not even at night had he talked to Me. At night he controlled me but now he couldn't control me.
He was a thing of the shadows. I made him.
I herd a little scuttle
"All them years we have had together, all them memories without even meeting" he curdled (that doesn't make sense but we will go with it)
"I made you, I can get rid of you" I breathed deeply
"But let's me honest, your not strong enough to" he mocked me.
He was right. I wasn't strong enough and I never will be. He's been in control ever since I lost my sister, wanting her kept him going.
But when I found her in that star, he became less strong. I wasn't as scared anymore.
All he is is fear in my mind. Fear that grew too strong.
I created a monster in fear of turning into one myself.
"Your nothing, without fear your nothing" I screamed Into the void
"But you will always fear Dylan, you will always be afraid" he sneered darkly
"DOIWONT" I screamed and started to wave my hands into the darkness. Trying to find this monster
"You can never destroy fear, the voice in a persons head telling them to run, the feeling which will freeze a body in his tracks and rip apart a persons mind until it is nothing" the voice hissed like a snake and I gathered myself to my feet
"I'm not scared anymore, I have her back" I whispered as tears and snot ran down my face.

"Not of your sister but of me, your past, milana" I herd him scuttle
The mind is complex. It created this monster. This fucking monster who took on his own form.
"Open you eyes and I'll show you something" his said darkly
"My eyes are open" I replied with
"No, open your eyes"
"MY EYES ARE OPEN" I screamed
"Open your eyes Dylan, open your fucking eyes"
"I CANT, THEY ARE OPEN" I chocked though snot and tears.
I ran my hands though my hair then I felt my eyes open.
I was standing in a corridor. It had piped running though it along the top
"What is this" I whispered
"Don't turn around, it's a place I created" I herd that voice from behind me.
I started to turn my head around to look at the voice but my face was forced back when a whip lash type sensation ran though my cheek pushing his back forward
"I said don't look, now Dylan look at that door" the voice said. I looked my head around and saw there was doors all along the corridor
"Which one" I breathed out
"First one, now go take a look inside" i could tell that something dark and sick lingered in his voice. He had dark plans and would enjoy it. I was hesitant but couldn't help but walk forward and towards the door.
I placed my hand on it and pushed it open then instantly closed it again
Inside I was my sister. I started to scream and collapse to the floor
"What's wrong" I herd that sick voice from behind me ligule
I just ingored it and started to stand myself.
"TELL ME WHATS WRONG" the voice screamed. Again I ingored it and just started to run down the corridor.
I ran and ran but appeared to be getting no where.
The gastly Monster caught up to me. He grabbed hold of my shoulder and spun me Around.
I stared into the eyes of myself. He looked like me. His eyes dark, skin pale and broken, and his face was the most twisted thing I had seen.
He turned his face into a sharp sick smile before opening up his mouth. A black octopus like thing started to emerge out and engulf my head.

The Only Survivor
I want revenge. However, to get revenge, I need information. And for information, I need answers. Yet to get answers, I need power. But for power, I need to survive. They made a grave mistake leaving me alive and locking me in a dungeon cell. They will live to regret it. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ This is a story in a fantasy world with lots of fantastical elements, including magic and cultivation. However, there's also some decent technology in this world. Gaining power has a system and nothing comes out of nowhere. Essentially, the setting and background is high fantasy but the focus will be whatever the MC sees, so expect more of a gritty realistic low fantasy most of the time. The MC is not OP and uses his wits and strategy to survive, and maybe even thrive. The warning tags are just there because I don't want any limits to where this story may lead me to writing. *I don't own the cover*

His devastated parents are reeling from the Recession, his friends are shiftless drunks, and his younger sister has been committed after discovering Jason's body. In an attempt to assuage the trauma his family has experienced and break away from his own shitty existence, Evan decides to grab his portion of the modern American Dream by trying out for that year's American Idol auditions in Nashville. Never mind that Evan's a 21-year-old virgin with a self-image as poor as his social skills. Never mind that he's never even attempted to sing before. In 21st century America, anything is possible, or so Evan's been told by a cultural upbringing of "Follow your dreams" and "Everyone is special" and "True love awaits". Speaking of true love, Evan asks Lily Trent to accompany him on the journey. Lily is a childhood acquaintance with whom he's recently reconnected and developed a crush on. Lately Lily's been working as a stripper, a cynical and jaded young woman who may or may not have her own motivations for joining Evan on the trip. Evan hopes the time alone will spark reciprocal affections in Lily, and an improbable come-from-nowhere triumph on national TV will not only free his family from their blue collar burdens, but win him the respect and love he craves-- not just from others, but from himself. Together, Evan and Lily discover why learning how to fail may be their generation's greatest lesson. Cover art by Gerry Siorek

My Hermit Life
My name is Solomon Ars Regis I am a veteran who lost both legs while on duty. One day after I was released from physical therapy early I came home to find my girlfriend cheating on me with my brother, feeling betrayed I scream at them to leave my house. A few hours of brooding later I decide to go to sleep. When I wake up I am in a forest in a different world. Hi this is my first story so please dont expect much. Disclaimer - I say hermit in that he lives in a cave in a giant forest with his wife and and master with occasional visits from his parents or other creatures. I do not use hermit in a religious sense or in that he lives entirely alone. The first few chapters are worse than some later chapters. If you can get through to chapter 24 you will find that the quality increases. I will do a rewrite eventually so look forward to that . . . . . if you want.
