I licked my dry lips as I tried my best to get rid of the chains that's holding my ankle to free myself, but seems like all of my energy is drained.
Punching the floor that is still covered with rotten flesh and blood, I let out a frustrated grunt before leaning my head back to the wall, running my hand onto my face afterwards.
"So I guess, this is how I die?" I mumbled as I slump down like a withered plant.
Where did the badass Yoongi go? The voice of somewhat my subconscious said, or more likely mocked while I took deep breaths. "What's the point of struggling if I'll die anyway?" I answered back.
Letting out another sigh of frustration, I look around and the green dim light caught my attention. I just stare at it for only God knows how long when suddenly, I caught a glimpse of a person near where the light was placed— A girl.
I'm not sure if she was already a corpse or not, but I can somehow see how much blood was sprawled on her chin down to her neck and chest.
Squinting my eyes and once my sight had already adjusted in the dark— thanks to the dim light, I can finally see her face, but because of her messy hair spread all of her face, I can't much that clearly, but something was wrong, Why is her other eye missing?
Ignoring the stinging pain on my right ankle, I started to crawl towards her direction, but even I'm still far away from her, I felt my head bump into something.
"Ow!" I exclaimed before landing a hand on my head to ease the sudden pain. Looking up once again, I didn't see anything that can be the reason why feel something that had bump my head, there's no barrier or anything so it made me confused.

I then lifted up my hand to touch what may be ahead of me. Extending my hand, my muscles suddenly went stiff when I finally felt something touched my hand, but I still don't see anything.
Seems like an invisible wall or something...
Without thinking twice, I balled my fist and was ready to punch this so called invisible thing when a familiar voice suddenly spoke from behind.
"Not so fast hyung," It was him, turning my head, I saw his figure standing not so far away from me. I grit my teeth as I try to stand up but I miserably fall as my chin hit the floor, making me to let out a pained groan.
Gathering up all of my encouragement, I knelt down as I look up to him with confused eyes, asking for a clear answer, "Why are you doing this?"
With the help of the dim light, I can see how an insanely wide grin made its way in his lips— much more similar like the Cheshire cat— before he opened his mouth to say something, "For fun."
I was about to retort back when he say something again, "Oh, and hyung, I have a present for you."
After he said those words, he threw something in front of me, or more like someone.
"Take care of of her hyung, she's a naughty one," Before I could ever ask him something, his presence was gone for the second fcking time. "Damn it!" I huffed before looking down at the person in front of me.
Crawling near her, I moved some of strands of her hair away from her face to see her identity, and once I did so, my eyes automatically shot wide when I recognized who she is.
"Chonmi?"

Superior Era
How would you react if you found yourself unable to sleep? Not just for one day, or two days, or even three days, but a more permanent time span, like the rest of your life? That’s exactly the predicament Dario finds himself in and he’s thoroughly vexed by it. After all, what sort of sane person would want to miss out on sleep? A madman, that's who. It’s especially worrying considering how he lives in a world filled with fantastical monsters, deadly beasts, and 'Superiors' supposedly protecting the interests of humanity. Sleep is quite the necessity under those circumstances. Life is tough for an ostracized kid, but Dario quickly realizes that his wakeful nights are more blessing than curse, as there seems to be quite a few advantages in not having to sleep... Join Dario as he climbs the ranks of superhumans, uncovers hidden truths, travels the world, and discovers abilities he never before thought possible. This is a tale of superpowered/superhero-like individuals set in a dangerous fantasy world with hints of GameLit elements. Features MC with abilities deemed unique to the world and can disregard the need for sleep at no cost to himself. No Harems. Current Release Schedule: 3-5 chapters per week. (Slower updates for holiday season) First few chapters are fairly short, but the rest will average around 2.5k words.

Age of Regression
[Author's Thoughts] Dropped, obviously. Still, it's my first attempt at a novel and I do love what I did with it. Big step towards learning. Far in the past, there was a civilization much more advanced than the one of modern times. Evidence of that time remains, but it is all but shrouded in mystery as there remains no way to decipher it. Currently, normal individuals wage war with guns and smaller machinery, but those who can wield a higher power vary in their abilities. Scales, born upon humans, are a mystery in their origins but are the source of their abilities and their way towards advancement. Although normally powerless, humans have adapted to the scales and thus can connect with the power of the universe, much like the other races that inhabit its various corners. In one of these corners, there exists a human settlement where Lancing follows his father's footsteps to begin his own ascent to power. However, he finds he is far different from his gifted father, whose scales below his eyes were among the purest ever seen, reaching gem-like quality. Far from perfect, Lancing shows no desire to give up and ceaselessly moves forward to reach the peak of the universe. However, he begins to notice that the mysteries of the universe slowly begin to unravel in front of his eyes. To reach the heavens, Lancing must carve his own path.

His Trophy | Jerome Valeska
"Oh and Jim, Jim Gordon?" Jerome peered into the camera as if to yell out to an audience: "I have Rory here," he turned the camera towards Jim's daughter and revealed to the audience a girl that had been beaten and tormented, she was gaged and her eyes didn't look at the camera but above the lens; at Jerome who was holding the camera."Say hi to Daddy, doll face," he jeered from behind the camera. She looked down the lens and shook her head as if to tell Jim not to try. The camera went back to Jerome."She's a beauty isn't she, Jimbo," Jerome smirked into the camera, his laughter becoming harsh and wild: "and she's all mine, you try anything, and I mean anything, I kill her. She's my prisoner, my reward, and you're not taking her away from me Jimmy boy, on no, not this time" his words were spoken through waves of laughter.***Rory Gordan is the stepdaughter of Jim Gordon. Her mother moved a lot so Rory was born in Gotham City but raised in England and from the age of 10 she had been bouncing from one country to another with her mother. However, when she turned 17 she had grown tired of the constant change of moving and decided to move to America. It was when she was visiting her long term boyfriend when her life got flipped upside down, not only did she meet one of the craziest boys on the planet, but she discovered that she had a gift that would curse her forever. This story is a collection of scenes rather than a flowing plot, so its chronological but it skips scenes and jumps back and forth between different perspectives. The story is under editing, so it'll get more cohesive over time.••• I do not own any characters or plot lines from the tv show. However, all original characters like Rory do belong to me.Total Word Count [33,674]
