《Unexpected Text Messages : Slashers x Reader》Chapter 13: I'm Not A Fucking Child

Narrator's POV:
After Stu sent those texts, he immediately called Hannibal.
The cannibal wearily picked up the phone waiting for the barrage of insults.
" Hello?"
" Don't give me that shit Hannibal, what exactly is your angle here? To hurt phantom for something they couldn't control?"
" It would almost seem as though you're going soft."
" Fuck off, that's not true. I just don't need you drawing unwanted attention to us when we're already in a vulnerable spot. Billy agrees with me."
" That's not all there is to it, hm?"
Stu almost ended the call right there, but he tried his best to remain calm.
" I have no idea what the hell you're talking about."
On the other side of the phone the therapist smirked.
" Sure you don't. For your information it's not in my interest to kill Y/n."
" Y/n?"
" That's phantom's true name. Anyway, as I was saying, it's not my intention to kill y/n, on the contrary I think they could be useful to us."
" Useful..? They're a person you sick fuck, not an experiment."
" Yes Stu, useful. They could gather information on people for us, even if they resist, they'll make a decent meal."
" You're not eating them."
" And you say you don't care for them, you're a terrible liar."
The younger man went quiet.
" If you so much as lay a hand on them Hannibal, I'll kill you myself, consequences be damned."
Stu's POV:
Anger flashes through me, but I force myself to calm down. I force a smile on my face, and head into the main living area.
" Jesus Stu, what's with your face?"
I stop the forced smile, shoulders dropping.

" It's nothing Billy, just Hannibal being an ass."
He hums in acknowledgement.
" Yeah, he's a pain sometimes."
There was silence for a moment, before Billy continues.
" Look Stu, I don't know what's going on with this phantom person, but if you're risking our cover for someone you don't even know, I'm gonna have to kill you."
I laugh uncomfortably for a moment before noticing that Billy isn't joining in.
" You're serious?"
He says nothing, not making eye contact.
" You're serious." I laugh in shock. " What is with everyone thinking I'm going soft? I know what I got into, and I'm not a fucking child."
" The others just think-"
" I'm a killer for fucks sake. If you think you can kill me, by all means go ahead."
I head to the front door slowly, partly waiting for Billy to stop me.
" Stu where are you going."
" Out."
" Stu, if someone sees you-"
I slammed the door shut behind me. I can hear Billy yelling after me, but I continue forward.

The Girl in the Abyss
Synopsis: The mysterious force known only as "God's Guidance" implemented a game-like system and rebuilt the planet using continents from five different worlds. Join Ellie, a young girl whose soul is filled with an ocean of love and trust. No matter how horrendous the circumstance or dreadful the suffering her kindness manages to shine through, but everyone breaks eventually. Watch as the horrors of reality slowly chip away at a pure soul until nothing but a monster remains and follow her down the path of despair as she finds a reason to live. ‘Our fate is one that always leads to suffering, but you can smile, I’ll shoulder everything else.’ Warning 1: This story covers very mature themes which I have listed here: Torture of a child (The MC is the victim), death, killing, slavery, and light gore. Nothing sexual ever occurs to the main character. Warning 2: This is another apocalyptic LitRPG, has a brokenly OP MC, bad writing, horrible grammar, and garbage sentence flow. It is my first attempt at writing a story since grade school. Inspired by my four favorite stories: Overlord, CLANNAD, The Arcane Emperor, and Tokyo Ghoul. A note by me: This is not a world domination story or an action story. There is fighting but it's not the focus. Another note by me: This is a work in progress. I’ll likely go back and change stuff a lot. The cover art is by a friend who has encouraged me since the start. Releases: Volume two will not be out anytime soon sadly. I apologize for the Hiatus.

The Undying Magician
How would a true immortal with average talent in magic fare within a world where magic is everything? In the world of Aria, only a small fraction of the population are classified as magicians. These magicians are able to use magic through the manipulation of the mana they are born with and are the core of the military strength within every nation. However, one nation in particular uses magicians to an even higher extreme than the others. This nation is known as The Republic of Arcania. The largest power in Aria. Our story follows Nathan Fox as he graduates from high school and is sent to the Arcane Academy for his required military training as a magician before he eventually serves his ten year term in the military.Nathan has been a true immortal ever since he got a semi-magical disease that makes any damage done to his body instantly reverse itself, bringing him back to his top form on the day that he became an immortal. Ever since then, it has been impossible for Nathan to die.But there are worse things in the world than death. And if the power-hungry magicians of the world were to learn of Nathan's true immortality? Then he might just experience those things himself. What will happen to Nathan as he traverses life in the academy? Will his secret be found out?Or will he be able to safely make it through the four years of academy life with his secret intact? That has yet to be foretold. The beginning of the story starts out slow for what many Royal Road readers are used to and then speeds up after around chapter 20 or so. It is a school arc, so it is supposed to be slow. Most of the combat and action isn't seen until after these chapters, which you can view as an introduction to the world, the characters, and magic itself. Many of the reviews are outdated due to edits I've been making along the way through the story. Specifically some of the edits going over the world itself, including pointing out in the story some of the things a few of the reviewers missed when they wrote their reviews, along with fixing other things that were pointed out in the story from the reviews and comments. This book is also being edited as it's being written, so some small parts might change as I get suggestions from readers. I do not write harem or sexual content in my stories. Ever. Red Street Daybreak
August Samuel Hatch was born under an inauspicious pattern of stars. It's granted him what is widely considered the most unlucky of inconveniences: becoming host to a powerful but pernicious spirit that will act as his guide and protector--and one day end his life. Sairne is sworn to stand by August's side and, when the fancy strikes her, advise him, all in the service of atoning for a past life she can’t remember having committed a grave enough offense to earn her soul indentureship in the mortal realm. Bound by a celestial contract neither one can negotiate, their fates are all they've ever known. But in a city ruled by religious right and where magic runs deep as bedrock, their search for a missing friend leads them to a dark conspiracy that could transmute the very magic that binds them to their fates, and that might grant them the ultimate choice: do they save the city or save themselves? Cross-posted on Wattpad and Ao3. For fans of fantasy YA story beats if they starred adults instead, 1920s inspired setting, lots of banter, larger cast of characters, somewhat soft magic system. Completed, but being actively edited prior to posting! I'm the only captain on this ship, so mind any errors.
