《The Third Word》Chapter 62

"And who might you be to her to stop me, Elijah Berryman?" Edwin questioned.
"Unlike you, a human." Elijah snapped," Come on Gwen." He walked to my side and stretched his arm for me to hold and jump down the ladder.
"How am I not human?" Edwin chuckled cockily as he made way for me to leave." If you jump from there, you'll surely break some bones and I wouldn't like that." Edwin told me. I looked between Elijah's hand and the way in front of me, but I obviously chose to climb down instead of jumping down. As I climbed down, Elijah answered Edwin's question," Someone who doesn't feel the slightest of pain at his brother's death isn't human. Want me to tell you more?"
"Shut up." Edwin grunted.
"Don't bother her and I'll shut up" Elijah said and the two of us climbed down the stage and out of the Auditorium.
We finally stopped in front of his classroom, which was empty and he lead me inside. I was feeling a lot of emotions by the way he had saved me and above all of those emotions was happiness, after realizing that I wasn't alone. He helped me. He cared. And he believed it wasn't my fault.
"What did Stace say?" He asked his first question after all that happened and I felt uncertainty and pain envelope me. The thought of saying 'Thank you for helping me' snapped out of my brain and the smile vanished before it was even formed on my lips.
"You...helped me just because you wanted to know what she said?" I asked, finding it hard to speak. Surely, If I wasn't saved, he would've not known what her last words were. He saved me out of selfishness. Was I that worthless? No one wanted me? I thought he was finally my friend but it was nothing.

"No-"
"It's alright," I raised my hand towards him, motioning him to stop giving me an explanation,"She heard whispers, calling my name. She thought she was going crazy and her mom suggested a change in the environment would make her feel better. She asked me to tell you that you were really nice but it's over. That's all. Any doubts? If no, then I'll head back home." I said everything in a monotonous way and finally took a deep breath.
He leaned against the Teacher's table, running one hand through his hair and sighed. He did not speak a single word, not until I left, without saying anything too.
Home-
It wasn't even 12 PM when I returned home, which was why mom asked me several questions.
"Did someone say something to you?" She asked as I plopped on the couch and grabbed the TV remote. I just wanted to forget that actually happened, because I was embarrassed of myself for hoping for one of the few things I'd never get- A friend.
"Gwen."
"I'm fine."
"You're not-"
"Mom please! If I knew you'd throw questions at me, I wouldn't have come home." I shouted.
"What is wrong with you?"
"I do not expect you to ask me about everything that happens because I'm not a little girl anymore. Why must I tell you even about little fights and agruments with others?" I blotted out.
"Fine...I get you and I'm sorry." She said softly," But I just want you to know that we love you, which is why we're worried about you."
"I know that more than anyone." I toned down, seeing how upset she was to see me yell at her.
"I'll make you some coffee." She said and went to the kitchen while I sat quietly. I didn't want to study. I didn't want to watch TV. I wasn't looking forward to a movie night with mom and dad the next day. I felt dull and gloomy and for the first time, I realized my life was boring.
"Oh right," Mom placed the coffee mugs on the table and sat beside me," A boy called on our landline. It was strange."

But until that happens I'll play a little... ——————————————————————————————— Reading Order of the Multiverse-Books ——————————————————————————————— Author’s Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it, or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn’t bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur)

Death By Protagonist
Donavan has made his living by wading through hundreds of stories in search of the quality few he and his firm believe to be worth publishing. After a strange twist of fate, he gets trapped inside the fantasy book of a particularly campy and amateur author. There he will have to navigate a world built on wish fulfillment, power fantasies, and fanservice in order to fix the story from the inside out if he ever wishes to leave. But can he bring himself to play the many roles necessary to manipulate and guide the characters to a satisfying conclusion? Authors Note: Death By Protagonist is meant to be simultaneously a satire of, and love letter to the isekai/portal fantasy genre. It both makes fun of and embraces many tropes of the genre such as harems, explicit sexual content, OP protagonists, and other things many people might think of as "trashy." If that doesn't sound like your thing, you've been warned, but I hope you'll give it a shot anyway. Update Schedule: Plan is to at least put out one new chapter every week, hopefully two.

BladeMage
Arenya Azural, a dragon-blooded farmer from a small town in the middle of nowhere, always dreamed of being a great hero, battling demons and monsters as a force of magic and power. Now her dream has a chance to become reality - she's a new student at Ba'al Cedric's Academy of Adventurers, a university for warrriors and heroes to learn to battle against the surprisingly amicable demon armies of the neighboring country in an endless war nobody really remembers the point of by now. She's also a BladeMage - an exceedingly rare and exceedingly difficult dual class that few have ever managed to succeed in, but those who have gain immense power. Arenya has a long road ahead of her, with rival students, duels with demons, and a host of benchmarks she must pass in order to keep her scholarship. Will she make it to level 100 and beyond, or die too many times and be forced to return home, tail (literally) between her legs to a life of farming and dreaming of adventure? BladeMage is a LitRPG with a lighter focus on stats. It features battles, leveling up, giant monsters, a bit of fanservice, and more. [Update: The LitRPG elements are proving themselves relatively unimportant as I continue to write. They may be dropped entirely, in which case I will change the prior chapters as well as update this description.] Content warnings: As a story featuring lots of fighting, there will be blood and death. However, since characters rarely die permanently, this will not be a hyperviolent story with extreme gore for the sake of it. Some sexual content and fanservice may be included, but this should remain firmly at the PG-13 level and there will be no sexual violence of any kind. The Cover: Someone suggested that I should have a dragon girl with a miniskirt on the cover. I can't draw and I don't know who to ask or commission, so a few minutes in the GNU Image Manipulation Program and the masterful cover above was created! Please feel free to use your imagination to see a gorgeous half-dragon with azure hair, wings, and a tail, holding a lightning-infused sword while fighting demons.
