"This is pretty. What do you think?" I said, turning to Lisa who had just arrived from the airport. "Jennie would love this."

You see, Lisa insisted I was the one who picks her up, even though Jennie knows she's coming. I didn't know why she wanted me to come out with her, but I hadn't been out for the past week. I just spent my days crying and eating.

I can't get over the fact she cheated on me. I was upset my love for her is too much for me to break up with her.

She shot me a warm smile, nodding. "That's pretty, Soo. Shall I get that for her?"

I thought for a moment, noticing mandu earnings beside them. Jennie is a mandu, she's our dumpling. Well, Lisa's dumpling. I shook my head, taking the mandu ones. "Buy these ones for her."

She nodded, taking them from me. "They're cute mandus." She chuckled. "I'd like to get these please, " She said, handing the earrings to the cashier. She bought them and we walked hand in hand out of the shops.

Lisa has been my best friend since we were babies. Jennie doesn't mind us holding hands or hugging, she knows we love each other a lot. We tease, but she obviously loves Jennie more. I introduced them one time and they fell in love. They argued for a while but eventually felt something. Lisa is a photographer and for her job, she has to travel a lot.

I don't know how they manage to stay so healthy.

"Let's get something to eat, " She said, smiling. I haven't eaten anything today, I wasn't in the mood, so I'm hungry. "Let's have some rice."

"Rice sounds yummy. Beef?"

"On me." She turned and winked. I chuckled at her, playfully hitting her shoulder. She let go of my hand when we entered the restaurant.

She pulled out a chair for me and we sat down, contemplating what food we were going to eat. After our food came I started to eat. The fresh cook rice and beef tasted amazing.

It was like heaven on my tongue. The only heaven I get on my tongue is Chaeyoung-

Yeah, let's not talk about that.

"I heard you have a girlfriend, " Lisa said, trying to start a conversation. "Jennie's best friend?"

I nodded, looking down and eating my rice. "How have you two been then? Good? Is it all okay?"

I nodded. "We're fine."

"That's good. I would love to meet her." I looked up at her. "I've only ever met her as Jennie's best friend. Not your girlfriend." She took a huge chunk of rice and ate it. "How about next week?"

I almost choked on my rice. I wasn't planning on talking to her for a while. "U-uh, she's busy..."

"Aw, really?" Lisa pouted. "I'm sure you can convince her on a double date."

I bit my lip, I don't want to upset Lisa. But I don't want to talk to her. "I have her number actually. Jennie gave it to me. Let me give her a call." My eyes widened when she said that.

"No need!"

"Click, " She said, hitting the dial button and putting the phone on speaker. Someone answered and bottles were clanging before she said something.

"Helloooo?" She was drunk. I missed her voice and was kind of happy to hear it, hearing her drunk makes my heart break.

"Hey, Chae. Are you okay?" Lisa asked. "It's me, Lisa."

"Ooooh, " She chuckled slightly. "Yeah. I have beer! Come join me!"

"Are you drunk?" Lisa shot me a questioning look and I looked away, avoiding her eyes. "Jisoo is here. Want to tell her something?" I shook my head at Lisa, but took the phone off of her with a sigh when she pushed me to have it.

"Hey, Chaengi."

"Jichu?" I hummed and took the phone off speaker, putting it to my ear. "I'm sorry, baby. Jennie said you weren't eating. I'm sorry, love. I'm worried." Drunk Chaeyoung is always funny, but this time she sounded hurt. "Do you forgive me? Can we cuddle?"

I felt my eyes well up and looked at Lisa who just has me a sweet smile and told me to carry on talking. Now I know she set this whole thing up. She knows what happened and did this on purpose.

I don't know whether to hate or love her.

"I want to cuddle with you, Chu. I want to say sorry and I want you to tell me how much I hurt you." She hiccuped, giggling. She is really drunk. "Come here and cuddle with me."

"Chae..." I sighed, biting my lip when I felt like I was going to cry. "I don't know if I can..."

"Why? Is it because your heart hurts?" She's such a child when she's drunk. Gosh, I miss her. "I'm sorry, baby. I won't ever do it again. I won't even leave your side. I'll ask for your permission and talk to people only you want me to talk to. I want you back here. In my arms. Please?"

"I-" I sighed. "I don't know..."

"Please? Come home. I want to cuddle. I want to kiss you. I want to play the piano with you. It's been three weeks. When are you going to come home? Are you breaking up with me?"

"I'm not breaking up with you, " I heard a sigh of relief. I thought about it. "Alright. I'm coming home now to cuddle with you."

"Really?"

"Yeah..."

She squealed, taking a chug from the bottle. I heard her swallow it before kissing the phone. "I love you! Come quickly!"

She ended the call and I handed the phone back to Lisa. "So, you're going to go to her now?"

"Yeah. You're such a bitch."

She chuckled, drinking her juice. "I know."

I arrived at the house, the lights were dimmed and music was on. I'm guessing her mother's in the kitchen. I slowly closed the front door and took off my shows, not wanting to get caught as I made my way upstairs.

I opened the door and found her, in her shower gown as she stumbled across the room trying to clean the bottles. I chuckled at her pushed face, mumbling to herself. She didn't notice me.

And I didn't notice how empty I was without her. It was only three weeks. I didn't realise how alone I felt.

"Oh my God, baby!" She turned around and happily opened up her arms, jumping towards me. "I missed you so much!" She said, hugging me. Her head nuzzled in my neck and the smell of alcohol reached my nose.

I hated it, but I knew she's missed me.

"Miss me?" I asked.

"Do you forgive me?" She asked, looking up at me.

"I do. I love you so much, " She was about to kiss me when I stopped her. "Baby, you have alcohol breath." I furrowed my brows at her and she moved away, smelling herself.

"You don't want to cuddle?" She wouldn't be able to shower. Not without drowning. "I smell gooood, " She chuckled.

I shook my head, she's actually in her room. I haven't seen her sleep or even be in here since we've moved in. She's always been in mine or the couch.

"Let's cuddle now!" She grabbed my hand, dragging me to the bed. I laid down and she came on top of me, nestling her face into my chest. "You smell nice too."

I kissed her forehead. "I love you. I'm sorry I've been ignoring you. I wasn't ready."

"What Suzy and I had was a one time thing. It wasn't intentional and I don't love her. I love you. You know that, right?" She looked up and into my eyes, showing me a drunk smile afterwards.

I tapped her nose, pecking her lips. I know I said she has alcohol breath, I just miss her. "I know."

She laid back down, wrapping her arms around my waist. "You know?" I nodded, caressing her hair with one hand as I looked up. Silence filled the room and I knew she was asleep.

I bet she hasn't slept in a while. She sounds and looks tired. The bottles scattered across the room ruined its vibe. It went from, cool and cosy, to dark and dirty. There were clothes everywhere, but I didn't mind.

I continued messing around with her hair for a while. Till her mother walked in, shocked to see me. She doesn't know. "Jisoo. Long time no see."

She smiled and I smiled back. She started cleaning around the room. "How have you been?" She asks, picking up some of the bottles.

"I've been well. How about you and Chae?"

"She hasn't been doing much. Just drinking." She sighed but cracked a smile afterwards. "I've been good."

"That's good." My hand drew shapes on Chaeyoung's back when she groaned and moved around, turning her face around so she didn't get the light from the door on her face. She hugged me tighter.

"She's missed you."

"I know..."

"Look after my baby, okay?" Her mother said. I looked into her eyes. "She's happy with you. Work hard for your company and her too."

"I got it, " I said, smiling.

"Good." She cleaned up what she could and left the room. It looked cleaner, I'll help her clean tomorrow. I closed my eyes and let myself drown away in her snores and mumbles.

Her arms wrapped around me felt amazing. It felt warm and comforting.

Gosh, I've missed her so much.
