"You what!?" Jennie spat out her drink. "You like my Unnie?"
"Uh- I didn't say that. Where did that conclusion come from?"
She smirked. "It's obvious, Chae. Really obvious." I felt myself blush.
Is it really?
"Are you going to help me? How do I, you know, ask her out?" My voice became a whisper at the end but she heard. Jennie is probably the master of asking people out.
She had the guts to ask me out at prom.
And got rejected.
The next day we went back to being best friends as if nothing happened.
"Well, it's simple." She clasped her hands together. "Ask her out to date first. If it goes well, end the night with a kiss and leave her thinking."
"A date?" I'm never the one to ask. I've always been asked. That's nerve-racking. "How do I do that? When and where?"
"Tonight. Piano. Dinner." She looked serious. "She doesn't like mangoes. Remember that. She had serious stomach pains when a guy gave her a mango dessert."
"Really?"
"Yeah. That didn't turn out well, " She chuckled. "Don't be nervous about it. Another thing about her is that she notices dressing up. So if you want to make it a surprise, dress casually. She'll notice if you try too hard. Her favourite food is chicken and she loves it when her date is a gentleman. In your case, gentlewoman."
I didn't expect her to tell me this much. "What if I get rejected?"
She smirked. "I highly doubt that."
"Gosh. I'm nervous."
She laughed. "Don't be. Have a nice date and end it with a kiss. She'll come home and tell me how it was. I'll tell you and you'll be fine!"

I smiled at her. "Thank you, Unnie."
"No problem, Wifey." She winked and we both laughed, talking about my future date.
I was sitting at the piano, going over some stuff. She was going to give me an exam at the end of this month to see how far I've gotten.
She was just reading over some of her letters. Probably bills and stuff and divining whilst I learnt. She looked uneasy. Not sad like the other times, but she kept glancing at me. She wants to tell me something, but she isn't.
"Is there something you need to ask?" She was a bit shocked.
"I- um. Wanted to ask if...." I couldn't hear the last few words. They were quiet and mumbled.
"What?" She blushed.
"If you wanted a drink!?" She said, all flustered as she got up. "Coke? Okay." I didn't say anything. She rushed to the kitchen and came back out with Fanta.
"I thought I wanted coke?" I raised an eyebrow and smirked at her. I don't know what's bothering her. "What's the real thing you want to ask?"
She took a deep breath, whispering encouraging words to herself. "If you wanted to go on a d-" Her mother walked in, hot chocolates in hand.
"I brought you- oh. Chae, baby? Why do you look like you're going to cry?" I looked back at her and she seemed flustered and frustrated. Whatever she's been wanting to ask has been on her mind all day.
"Because I wanted to ask Jisoo on a Goddamn date! And I couldn't!" Her mother looked a bit shocked. She's pissed, I know, but she looked like a five-year-old throwing a tantrum. She slammed the papers onto the floor and stormed off into the bedroom.

I gave her eomma a weird look and she just smiled. "She's an emotional person. I guess she's been dying to ask you on that date."
I chuckled. "Don't mind it. She'll be fine in a bit." I nodded and grabbed the papers she had chucked. "I'll go see if I can talk to her."
She left.
I decided to just learn on my own. It was getting quite easy. I could play river flows with you very precisely.
I'm going to beat her.
No matter what.
Her mother came back after five minutes. She just shook her head. "Gosh. She's moody." I chuckled.
"I'll go talk to her."
"Thank you, darling." I got up and made my way to the room. "While you're at it, agree to her date!" I heard her mother yell. I laughed and rolled my eyes before entering the room.
She was sitting on the edge of the bed, kicking her feet and mumbling. "Chae..." She looked up at me and her face turned bright red. I shut the door.
"I'm sorry for making you uncomfortable! If you don't want to go on the date-" I sat on her lap and she looked up at me. Her face was burning bright now.
I leaned in and kissed her forehead. "I would love to go on a date with you."
She smiled. It was reaching her eyes. "Really?"
I kissed her nose this time. "Yeah. You should've just asked me."
"I thought you would say no." I shook my head, finally leaning in to kiss her lips. She seemed surprised but was comfortable with it after a while. Her hands stayed on the bed. I could feel her hesitating whether she should touch me or not.
I smiled against her lips. That's cute. I pulled her hands and let them rest on my waist. She was okay with that. I was shocked when she took control.
I thought Lark was an innocent girl. Judging by this, she's been up to naughty stuff. She was a natural with it. Her tongue knew what it was doing and so did her hands.
"Oh my God!" We quickly pulled out and I turned around to find her mother standing there, with shocked eyes but a smile. She clapped her hands together. "Finally! Do you know how long I've been waiting for this to happen!"
She doesn't know she blocked off the last one. This one was getting steamy.
What a cock block.
Chaeyoung didn't know what to say. I guess she didn't expect her mother to catch her making out. "Okay. I'll leave. Carry on." Her mother left and I looked into her eyes.
She smiled at me and I cupped her face. "You heard what the woman said." I went back into kiss her. It wasn't as long, but this one would be more memorable. I have her a couple of quick kisses before hugging her.
"When's our date?"
