《Musical Teacher.》Episode - 9

"For me?" I asked confusedly. Someone had sent me flowers, but I'm a little confused as to who. I don't have many friends and Jennie doesn't send me things like this.

"You are Roseanne Park, right?" I nodded at the postman and he handed my flowers along with a basket full of goodies like soap, face masks, and even strawberries. "Sign here."

I signed and he left. In really confused. Who would send me flowers? Do I have a secret admirer I don't know about? "Eomma! Did you order a care basket on my name?"

She came out of the bathroom, eyes brows furrowed. "No? If I did, I would've used my own name."

"Then who did?"

She grabbed a little card that was in the flowers. Her lips formed a smirk and she chuckled. "Oh. I think I know who."

"Who?"

She handed me the card and walked off. "Yah, Eomma! You're not going to tell me?" She turned back around, holding up a peace sign before walking away.

I sat on the couch, looking at the card.

Chaeyoung,

I hope you enjoy these gifts, my love.

-J

J? Jennie? Why would she send me flowers and use 'my love.' Who else's name begins with 'J'?

Jisoo?

But she hates my guts. Why would she send me flowers and a care basket? Gosh, I hate secret admirers. I opened the card up and money fell out.

My eyes widened at how much cash was able to fit inside the little thing. I can't take this. Gosh, whoever it is is going to make me feel guilty. I picked up the cash, putting it back into the card.

My phone rang. I picked it up, and to my surprise it was Jisoo.

"Hey."

"Hello. Is everything okay? Our lessons don't begin till 1."

I heard a chuckle. "I should be asking you that. Your Eomma told me to call you. Is everything okay?"

My mother likes to tease. "Someone sent me flowers and a basket. Was it you?"

She sounded confused. I can't tell if she's a great actor or if it genuinely wasn't her. "No? Why would I?"

Ouch. That kind of stung. "I don't know. It's weird. I didn't expect these, but whoever did it is now on my nerves. I'd understand if it was just this but money? What the heck are they on. It's just someone playing a prank on me. I'll put them in the bin."

There was silence. "Hello?" She ended the call. I'm confused. Did I say something wrong? Maybe she doesn't like the thought of me rejecting money?

I shrugged my shoulders, leaving the gifts there. I don't know why she got so annoyed about it. She just ended the call. I won't into the kitchen to join my Eomma.

It was around half one when Jisoo showed up. She normally shows up late. "Hey!" She smiled back at me, sitting at the piano.

"You didn't throw it away?" She pointed at the basket and flowers on the sofa.

I shrugged my shoulders. "The person wanted me to have it. I felt bad throwing it away." She nodded, a huge smile on her face. "Do you, by chance, know who it is?"

"I already told you I didn't." I stared at her. She's lying. I can tell. "Are we going to learn or?"

"Okay. You're right. Let's practise!" I clasped my hands together and started to teach her.

I'm cutting up some fruit for us. She's worked hard and it's late. She said she would sleep over because she wanted extra hours of learning. Her mother must've pissed her off because she's dedicated.

I walked back into the living room, snacks in my hand, only to find her sound asleep at the piano. Her cheek is squished up against the piano and that's cute.

She makes my heart race. Not in a scared way, I don't know how to explain it.

I sat beside her, gently tapping her back as she woke up. "Rise and shine, princess."

Her face flushed a little bit and she showed me a crooked smile. She's half-asleep and that's adorable. I moved some of her hair away. "I brought you fruit. Eat up whilst I get you a blanket, okay?"

She nodded, stretching as she moved to the coach to eat. This makes me feel like I'm in a relationship with her.

I don't like her though.

We're just friends.

I left to get a blanket and when I came back she was already changed. "I'll sleep on the floor. Is that okay?" She shook her head when I tossed her the blanket. "You want to sleep on the floor?"

I let out a small squeal when she held my wrist and pulled me down onto the couch. She used her strength and rested me on top of her. My head laid on her chest and I could hear how fast her heart was beating.

Mine is going crazy. I don't have a right to speak about hers.

She pulled the blanket on top of us, her hand resting on my back as she closed her eyes. Her heart rate calmed down but mine is going nuts. "J-Jisoo?"

"Hm?" She said, her eyes closed.

"What are you-" She placed her finger on my lip.

"Shh. Just sleep." I cleared my throat. I feel warm, my body is burning up. "Close your eyes, my love."

My love?

Was it her?

The flowers?

Is that why she got personal when I said I'd chuck them in the bin?

"Jisoo?" There was no answer so I lifted my head. She was sound asleep. "Do you perhaps like me?" Still no answer. "I don't like you more than that, but I'd probably be willing to give you a chance." I smiled at her but the only thing heard is when she started to snore.

I kissed her nose. "You're so cute. I'm falling for you." I laid back down, nuzzling my head in the crook of her neck.

"Just promise to catch me."
