Reign's POV
The slamming of a door sound my eardrum and in exchange for an instant headache. I tried moving my hand to rub my temple, when I realized they where bounded.
'A wa di bombo a gwaan ya so?'
"C mi no tell yuh seh mi no inna dem tie up business ya!" I shouted as my eyes opened to a very blurry vision.
"Yaa yuh fada son, so mi know a dem foolishniss deh yuh into!" A middle aged voice sounded from across the room. By now my vision was fully restored and I could see the striking resemblance. It was like looking at my father himself. "Apple no fall far from di tree fi true I see."
"Right, so mi naafi tell yuh wa go gwaan if and when yuh let mi guh!" I warned. I had to show him that I surely wasn't afraid of him.
'Mi shoulda go fi him same time when him did pop up pon Casidy.... Fuck C!' The last thing I remembered was us in the living room watching the movie.
"Wa the fuck yuh do wid mi woman? Try mek sure yuh no lay a finga pon har eno pussy!" The fire of rage was now blazing inside. "As a matta of fact, mek sure not even yuh breeze no touch da family deh, cause as mi live and breathe, it no tek ntn outta mi fi get rid a yuh... just like ow mi put yuh bredda 6 fucking foot under.... yuh wi go twice as deep! Try bloodclaat know that!"
He laughed as if I was giving a joke. He didn't even know how serious I was.
"Careful nephew! Respect you're elderly!" He got off his stool and came a little closer to me. " Besides, a you and mi have beef, not me and her. Mi no stay like dem coward deh wa go offa woman and pickney, mi go fi di threat itself!"
"Try mek fucking sure cause all if mi dead to pussyclaat, when yuh think a peace and safety, mi duppy rise and mash up yuh bloodclaat....Dats how daaak mi is yere!" His laughter grew even louder!
'Mmmm mi nuh mussi fucking comedian!'
While he laughed and struggled to catch his breath I scanned the room to try and recognize where I was and what was around that I could use to my advantage.
I was roped to a rusty metal folding chair in an old concrete room that the greenage had almost fully evaded.
'Aahight, see a window deh ... a picture frame wid Jesus inna it and glass... yes glass... waan old grandfather clock with a cabinate at the bottom.... no sa wait deh... da place ya!'
As I glanced over the rest of the remains, it was like a picture of how it was kept on flashing infront me, but I still couldn't figure it out.
'Mi know da place ya!'
It wasn't until I looked down at the base of the stool and saw the aged blood stain in the carpet that I realized where I was.

"Aaatttyuh! Mi know it neva did go tek yuh long fi find out weh yuh deh." He clapped his hand dramatically. "The crime scene!"
I could see his bloody corps laying there. I then turned to the spot where my mother took her last breath and the tears came bursting out!
"Yes, nephew! And a deh so di whore did lay dung and dead too!" He pointed to the spot. " But yuh memory sharp man!"
Casidy's POV
"Whatever Ideas you had for tomorrow, work with it, Mr. Whyte is busy and won't be able to take any calls at the moment." I had to hold the forth down in the mean time until Reign was safe in my arms. I don't know how, but I could feel it deep within that he was near and he was ok. " And Bethany, we have a very limited time, but I am entrusting you to make important decisions on my behalf. I trust your judgement and know you are able to pull it off. So wow me! Go above beyond and there might be a reward in-store for you"
"Ofcourse Miss Brown, thank you for this opportunity! I won't let you down." Bethany replied.
She was like my right hand woman at work. She worked hand in hand with me on every account and was more than capable of pulling off a dinner an awards ceremony. She had contacts all over and she brought bright and innovative ideas to life, so this was a roll over for her.
"You're welcome, bye" I disconnected the phone and went back to check on Charity. She was still drawing in her scrap book in the living room.
TP was back with them in less than an hour. And we were talking strategies. Mummy insisted on being in the loop so we spoke in the kitchen so we could discuss and watch charity at the same time.
" Yup, but wi no know dem eno, a that a beat wi." TP exclaimed...
"Yuh no think a easy easy way fi get fi know smaddy" Mummy answered. "The problem we have is time! M0i just wish mi coulda get a likkle close to him and work mi charms!"
"What?" I just had to stop the discussion then and there, because it seemed as if Reign's disappearance maybe causing them to have a clouded judgement. "Get close to who and work which charms? Mummy that cyaan happen!"
They all turned to face me. TP smiled with pressed lips while Mummy's face was the total opposite. Kelly seemed to be the only one who was thinking level minded and had a look of disapproval written all over.
"Oh, so yuh think mi ago sit back and mek mi son just lose him life under di witt of a mad man? Yuh must be two types a crazy likkle girl" She turned her back to me and hit the counter. "All mi want a couple hours wid him, and see if mi no have use. Mi old but mi nuh cold, yuh betta know dat!"

'But watch madniss inna ee evening ya now nuh!'
"Mummy go sidung and mek the young people deal wid dis! Yuh a try be funny right now and mi no have the time or patience fi tolerate it! A no movie dis and the man is dangerous! And second of all, mi ano likkle girl anymore. I am a big griwn woman!" I reminded her.
She turned slowly, chuckling with disbelief.
'Shit! Mi ago get it!'
"Right... biiiigggg grown woman eeeh.... yuh see wa happen when yuh leave young people fi do some things? Dem drug unu baxide and gone wid yuh man. And how? True plain caylisniss" she started to lecture. "If unu did learn fi lock door, security or no security, dat couldn't happen. Di man dem woulda affi kick off di door fi come in pon unu and atleast unu woulda have a fair chance can fuck him up ! But no.... unu mek sake a sex!"
My eyes widened with disbelief.
'Gaad almighty man!'
"Oh! Yuh think mi neva know seh a dat cause dis now? Yuh know uh much time mi fly di front door and ketch unu like rabbit ova deh so, but mi tek time and spin mi roll cause mi know unu young and besides, where yuh think yuh get dat trait from? I was young and once inlove too..... But dat no mean mi no lock di door dem when mi a go under! A dem deh time deh mi memba fi lock up mi dear...all the latch to, especially after knowing mi have smaddy wa deh hunt mi dung!"
'Lick di nail pon di head.'
"Oh so yuh cyaan ansa now? A wa yuh no big grown woman again?" She hissed her teeth. "Coulda fool mi!"
At first I started off being concerned about the locks and locking up at nights but then it became a thing of the past and I just went my way without caring if the locks were locked or not.
Kelly looked up to the ceiling and scratched her head, while TP dipped his head avoiding any eye contact possible. The silence grew and so did the awkwardness.
"So see how wi go do it TJ.." Mummy said.
It was as if she intentionally calls him that because no matter how many times we have corrected her, she always ends up saying 'TJ'.
Reign's POV
'A must sitten him waan from mi or else mi woulda dead longtime. So mi affi play it out my way and draw him out, till mi can get mi self loose.'
After hours of captivity, I finally have a way out. It might take a little time but it was a sure way out.
Whoever tied me up was surely an amatuer. The rope was well secured and they made sure to batten down all windows and escape routes, but they didn't look into one minor detail.
'If a one ting eno, if yaa come fimi, well yuh betta come fimi good! But mi know seh when mi cum out a dis place, all hell a bruk loose! Mi naa ask Christ! If a dirt a dirt and a just deh so it deh!'
So I sat there in the dark just rocking away, seeing nothing but pitch black, on an empty stomach that sounded as if it was hosting a battle between the beasts of the jungle. But, determined I was, to soldier it out.
'Affi come outta dis alive! Worst how mi no breed Casidy yet! A man try know that!'
My mind was chaotic, with thoughts of repressed memories and the present happenings while I drifted off to sleep.
Hours of sleep later and I was awoken by the slamming of a door, yet again!
"Wa di bombo claat do unu and da door deh? Yuh cyaan find other ways fi wake mi?" I said in disgust.
"But a hotel yuh deh man nephew?" He laughed asking. "And how would you like your eggs? Sunnyside up? Over easy?"
"Bad man just cut to di chase and tell mi waan yuh waan from mi cause a affi sittn. Yuh cyaan just have mi ya so jus so!"
"In due time nephew, yuh soon know!" He held out two suits on hangers and walked closer towards me. "Now help ne choose a suit fi wear to our awards show. I have to leave an impression on my first public appearance . Mi woulda read yuh the speech but, I some how managed to have left it behind at my hotel room this morning, so I've got to video it and show you instead ."
'Speech fi wa? Him mussy lick him head'
"I must say, yuh woman know how fi get things in order by the way, given the circumstance"
"Fuck yaa keep tabs pon har fa? Know yuh self yute! Mi no waan a man a watch out mi woman dawg!" It was as if each time he mentioned, Casidy or family 'mi blood bwoil!'
I just hope she's ok. I know she will make sure the event goes smooth today, she's a professional and knows how to work through the most difficult times. I also know that she also is putting together a plan. When it comes on to strategy, 'yuh can always call pon Casidy!' But I really wanted to get myself out, so she doesn't have to get mixed up with this psycho, because as much as he says he isnt the kind to, 'Desperate times calls for desperate measures!' So as much as it pains mi right now, I have to play along with him and get him out of here sooner.
'Affi go pick a suit so him can gwaan him ways.'
"Blue eno. Di gray ago show up yuh gray hair dem too much, causing yuh fi seem even older that you actually are, the blue now, its striking and takes the attention from yuh bald patches and hair color!" I gave him the most honest answer ever.
"Smart bwoii! Soooo... blue it is!"
