Reign's POV
"I was afraid at first, but she explain alot a things to mi and offered to help."
"Turns out him a did waan big drug lord and a so him acquire him riches. So thats why buying mi mada a house and taking care of her completely, neva come like nutten fi him."
Casidy stood blank with disbelief! I knew she wouldn't have guessed any of this. Thats why they say 'Never judge a Book by its Cover', I am living proof of this.
'Dem see mi smile, but dem no know mi story!'
"Da same night deh she carry mi go a waan place a mobay. She gimi food, clean clothes and told me the plan." I took her hands and proceeded to the car. I was now way calmer than before. "She tell mi it no safe fi mi stay inna Jamaica cause dem go kill mi if dem find mi! Big Wayne did have a bredda wa just finish high school and who did next in line fi tek ova from him, so he was on a man hunt fi di 'Bastard child!' Dat a me!"
She stopped midway and looked at me. "Wait... So weh dat deh bredda deh now?" Casidy was a smart woman, so I knew she would've put the pieces together quite quickly. "Is that why you now have such strict security detail at the house?"
"Yes.... well mi no sure if a him but yuh know mi naa tek no check!" She looked as if she saw a ghost.
'Shit, mi hope mi no scare har weh ya now!'
"Mek mi finish the story den wi get back pan dat!" She started walking again. "Anyways, she told me she had already spoken to Sandreen and arranged for me to move to England to live with her. So she seh mi did affi go change mi name because this was my 'Reign of Terror'..."

Upon hearing that, she looked to me and smirked a little. She got it! I mean what name was better than that? I chose that the minute she uttered it and she thought it was a good one too. 'Rueben' was the name she longed to name her son, but she was barren. It was the least I could do! She never had to help, but she had a pure heart and went out of her way to do so.
"Di next morning we were all over trying to get things sorted out so mi coulda board the plane di same evening." I chuckled. "Eeyy dat why dem seh money walk and bullshit talk eno! Cause otherwise dem woulda sure ketch up to mi and mi life end before it even start."
"True!" C replied leaning against the door. I stood a few steps infront.
"When wi deh a di airport now, she handed me a pocket book saying instructions deh in deh fimi follow when mi reach eighteen and that not even Sandreen no fi know bout it cause people tend fi change when money involved." It wasn't funny but I just had to laugh. Shaking my head, "A good ting mi listen cause Sandreen neva exactly turn down the idea of having me there, but she neva too thrilled eeda cause mi limit her to an extent... yuh get mi?"
"Yea I really do... but yuh still affi thank God she did!" C was always one to think positive.
"Dat a true, and that's why when mi tun eighteen and falla di instructions and retrieve waan account wid forty million pounds, mi give har 5 million outta it."
"Forty who?" Her jaws dropped in shock.
"Mmmmmhmmn ... di same thing wa mi just seh!"

"Well fi di hell wa yuh and yuh mada go through, that a the least!" She said furiously.
"Well mi mek a few investments and money a grow so mi and mi family can well set yuh zimi!" I watched as her pout turned into a broad smile.
"You... Charity and Mama P.... a fimi responsibility," I told her while closing in until I was fully bracing on her. "A unu a mi family... and nothing no too good fi unu! Yere dat?" And I meant evety word of it!
I knew this was setting her on edge but there was still something resting in my head that I just had to ask her. Well, demand really, because she may think its too soon but 'mi just cyaan wait yaa man!'
'Mi hope she no seh no eno, Cause mi know how she stay. All when she waan seh yes, pride wi mek she block har happiness!'
"Hey C.. Will...Ummm... Yuh affi go..." I was interrupted by the ringing of her phone. She flashed the phone my direction displaying an unknown number. "Ansa quick! Hope ano Mama P or Charity!"
My blood bubbled instantly because I really dont know what I'd do if anything happened to them.
'Mi really no waan affi chip out inna ee night ya!'
"Good night TP, how did you get my number?" I heard her say.
'TP a call mi woman? Fuck yaa seh? An a night to!'
"Oh, yes ofcourse, Kelly!" She chuckled then stopped immediately. "Oh.... see im ya!" She handed me the phone looking puzzled. I grabbed it right away and stepped aside 'cause a mus supm go wrong mek him a call mi pon C numba... fuck!
'Mi phone deh pon silent inna di car!'
"Talk to mi!" I glanced back at C who was getting in the car.
"Bossy yuh know seh a bwoii just run in pon di bartenda and box har dung, den fling some empty bakkle pon the shelf bruk up some likka doe!" He exclaimed.

"But bossy...." I didn't wanna hear anymore, so I hung up.
"Cas..."
"Why yuh fucking phone deh pon silent Reign?" Casidy said starting the car.
"C lata wi chat bout dat! How fast yuh can reach ee bar?" She was mad, but I couldn't deal with that right now.
She said nothing but, backed the car out and drifted off.
'Mi know who affi drive mi get away car dem!'
Upon reaching the bar, I jumped out and ran upstairs and buzzed myself in.
"A weh im deh?"

Ruins of Dalághast
I've been writing for as long as I can remember, but I'd always been torn between different projects. That's why I decided to dedicate myself to a pretty strict schedule of writing and editing a single chapter every month since the start of 2019. This is an ongoing, work in progress novel that follows a ragtag group of sellswords as they delve into a lost city on the edge of the known world in search of their fortunes. Within, though, they find much more than they ever expected and find themselves in a race against time to unravel a mystery centuries old. For those who want to see my work months earlier than it will be released here, alongside exclusive artwork and other perks, consider supporting me and my work on Patreon. https://www.patreon.com/atlaswrites
