《Bound by Fate》Chapter 3

Her door opened and she turned around to see a guard in metal armour.
"Milady I'm here to escort you to dinner," he said.
"Why should I? I've had my breakfast and lunch here," she said.
"The king requests your presence and his requests cannot be denied," he said.
"I don't want to go out or dine with him. He has had me locked in here without a word for almost the entire day. I do not want to dine with him I want to go home and please tell me you're kidding about king. This country does not have a king and can I please just get some shorts and t-shirt," she said gesturing to her floor length emerald green dress which was certainly not from the fashion of 2019.
"Please miss you need to come to dinner. Thus far the King has been immensely understanding and patient-" he said.
"Well so have I. I just want to go home," she pleaded on the verge of tears.
"I do not hold any authority to permit your wish my lady, only the King does and his wishes are for you to remain here indefinitely," he told her.
"Then I'm not coming," she said slamming the door.
The girl heard knocking on the door after a few minutes and rolling her eyes she went to open it and saw the guard.
"My lady, the King does not approve of your answer-"
She slammed the door again and went back to lying on the bed on the covers and staring boredly at the ceiling.
She heard knocking and ignored it and it got louder.
"Tell your king I'm not coming!" She shouted opening the door.
"Why let the messenger tell the King when you can relay your words to me personally, and I did hear your words," the man muttered, the man being the king not the guard.

She stared mortified for a second before angrily slamming the door only for it to be blocked.
"You cannot hold such contempt for me, I have granted you time to yourself to come to accept the situation you have been found in. Now please do grant me the honour of accompanying me to dinner. I assure you I am not the monster you seem to have painted me to be," he said entering the room which made her feel rather uncomfortable and nervous as she viewed her room as a sanctuary in how he had never entered it.
"You've kept me locked up here for the whole day and I've had no interaction with anyone besides those maids who seem to just doll me up and ignore any conversation I try to make. By the way this is the twenty-first century and not the sixteenth century not even the nighteenth century. Corsets are tight, annoying, painful and definitely unnecessary as are these- uh- dresses. Look girls wear t-shirts and shorts and if not those then skirts and dresses that expose at least their knees. Now please I just want to go home. My parents are probably worried sick about me and here you are stopping me from seeing them," she said.
"Seize this foolish and insolent behaviour, you shall not leave this castle, not till I allow you to," he said frustrated.
"I hate you. You kidnapped me and are holding me prisoner against my will and I can't see my family and now you think you can just force me to come eat with you. You dragged me here in a net and I was nearly killed more than once when I got here. I will never forgive you!" She shouted.
He grabbed her waist and held her over his shoulder.

"Put me down! Please! Drop me! I don't care if you literally drop me on the floor, just let me go!"
He ignored her protests and carried her down to the dining hall where he sat on a throne with her refusing to sit on his lap like he wanted her to. He gave up trying when he got kicked enough where it did hurt him and he decided to grant the girl at least one of her wishes and he allowed her to sit at the table near him on her own chair.
Much to his disappointment she persisted to refuse to sit on his lap and allow him to hand feed her when the food did arrive and she ate her food, not even looking at him while he tried to talk to her as if he forgot how he kidnapped her and took her to dinner against her will.
"I wish for a name to put to your exceptionally beautiful face-"
"Are you that bipolar!"
"Pardon?"
"You kidnapped me. You caught me in a net and you couldn't let me go. You have kept me locked up in a room for the whole day giving me no reason at all for doing so and for keeping me prisoner and you barged in and demanded I come to dinner with you and after you dragged me here against my will you think it is fine to just casually talk as if it's nothing. I'm sorry but were you dropped on your head as a baby because I sure think you were!" Sara snapped unable to contain her anger.
"Hold your tongue!" He ordered.
She got up from the table and left the room while he shouted at her to stop, which she did not do.
