"RANTARO!!"

You burst into Rantaro and Kiyo's apartment using the spare key they lent to you. "Y-Y/N! Is something wrong?!" Rantaro got up, knocking over a vase.

Kiyo sighed. "It is fine. It's simply Kokichi's birthday today." Rantaro stopped and turned. "ALREADY?!"

You nodded, lifting your phone to show that it was Kokichi's birthday today. "I need your help... to find some people."

Rantaro tilted his head. "Huh? Who?" You turned on your phone and showed a picture. "This is DICE. From what Byakuya told me, he's seen at least half of them at one of the shelters he was in. Now I need to find them."

"Are you positive they'll still remember you?" Kiyo questioned. "It has been a while."

You shook your head. "I'm not sure... but I have to try." Rantaro smiled and nodded. "There's no stopping you, so may as well help you."

"Thanks... I had Shuichi and Kaede take Kokichi to the amusement park, so I have until 7:00pm, the amusement park's closing time."

Rantaro twirled his car keys on his finger. "Then we have no time to lose. There's ten of them, isn't there?"

"Alright, so... from what I remember..."

"Hey Y/N!" A girl with blonde pigtails, which Kokichi called Number 2, called out to you. "Where do you like to hang out?"

"Hm... it depends on who I'm with. What about you?"

"I love the arcade! Boss brought me there once and I loved it! I wonder if you get free tokens if you work there."

You chuckled. "Even if you don't, I'll gladly pay for it if you want me to."

"Number 2 likes the arcade." You muttered. "Kiyo, how many arcades are in this town?" Kiyo turned on his phone and went to maps. "Three."

You nodded. "Rantaro, nearest arcade." He stepped on accelerator and the car drove to the nearest arcade.

"Excuse me?" You walked up to the front desk. "Is there a girl here with dark blonde hair, maybe in pigtails?"

The worker at the front desk shook his head. "Sorry, but there's no one that works here with that description. We have a brunette?"

"Can I see her?"

"Sure. Hannah!"

The girl walked out from the back and your eyes widened. Not the one you were looking for, but... "Hey Hannah... Do you remember me?"

She tilted her head. "Sorry, I don't-" Her eyes widened slightly when you pulled out a familiar clown mask. "'Boss' wants you to keep this."

She came out from behind the counter and traced her finger over the mask. "This..." She looked up at you and she teared up. "Y-Y/N!" "Whoa there!"

Hannah jumped into your arms and you stumbled back. "Nice to see you too." She kept you in a tight embrace for what seemed like eternity.

"What are you doing here?" She asked when she finally pulled away. "It's Kokichi's birthday, and I wanted to do something special."

Her eyes lit up. "Oh yeah, has boss-" She noticed the ring on your ring finger and she gasped. "No way..." She then squealed and jumped up and down, holding your hand.

"He asked, he asked, he asked. And- And you said yes!!"

"Hannah." The two of you looked at the worker. "You still have work to do." You sighed and pulled out $1000. "Is this enough?"

"Yep!"

You put your finger over your lips then ran out with a giggling Hannah in hand. "You're still using the old bribery, huh?"

"I didn't spend over a decade with Kokichi for nothing."

"Hey Y/N!" Rantaro greeted. "Is that the one you were looking for?" You shook your head. "But! She's one of the people I need. So we're making progress!"

You and Hannah jumped into the car and Rantaro drove to the next arcade.

"Do you know where the others are?" You asked on the way. "No, sadly. We've been separated for quite a while, actually."

You smiled and looked at the passing buildings. "Then I guess this'll be a reunion for the both of us."

Rantaro pulled up to the next arcade and you and Hannah got out of the car.

"Hello!" You greeted the person at the front desk. "Is there a girl with dark blonde hair that works here, maybe wearing them in pigtails?"

The worker put their hand on their chin. "I'm not sure. I started working here yesterday."

"Then can we see someone who's been working here for a while, please?"

The worker nodded. "Yeah, sure." He walked to the back and he came out with a taller guy. "Hey there. Is something the matter?"

"We're looking for a girl with dark blonde hair named Sakura. Do you have anyone working here with that description? Or maybe a constant customer?"

The guy nodded. "We do, but she doesn't have work today. I can give you her num-" "Can we have her address?"

"Isn't that... an invasion of privacy?" He questioned. You pulled out your phone and showed a selfie with you and her. "Is IT if they're a friend?"

He smiled. "I see. So this is a reunion? I'll write it down for you." He took a sticky note and wrote down Sakura's address.

"Thank you so much!" You put a $100 bill on the table. "I'll rate this place five stars!" You called out as you ran out the arcade.

You looked at the sticky note. "That's not far from here. Come on!" Without getting into the car, you and Hannah ran to a nearby condominium, with Rantaro following in the car.

"Don't leave me behind!" He yelled out the window.

"Hello there." You panted. The receptionist looked up from her computer. "Hello there. Are you here to visit?"

You nodded. "A girl named Sakura. Unit 11." The receptionist nodded. "Alright. Go ahead."

Hannah grabbed your hand and ran up the stairs. "I can't wait to see her!" Once you got to the room, you knocked on the door.

Once the door opened, your eyes lit up. "S-Sakura!" She stared at you. "Who are- wait..." She looked at the checkered pattern of the scarf sticking out of your pocket and gasped.

"Y/N...?"

She covered her mouth and threw herself into your arms. "Where have you been?! You and boss disappeared and..." She pulled away. "Y-You and boss!"

Hannah lifted your hand and pointed at your ring finger, making Sakura's eyes sparkle. "He... He proposed." She grinned and started skipping around you.

"He proposed, he proposed, he proposed!!"

You chuckled. "Yeah, he did." Sakura stopped in her tracks. "So, did he do what he always wanted to do? Big cherry blossom trees just after sunset, the stars just starting to scatter in the sky. Candles lining a bridge leading to the clearing with butterflies flying around! Remember Hannah?"

You blinked. "Yeah... that's exactly how it went. How'd you know?"

"Boss has been planning it for so long!" Hannah said. "He's wanted to propose to you ever since you came to the school, he said."

"Really...?" You covered one cheek with your hand. "That long?!"

"Of course, he wouldn't have proposed when you guys were teenagers." Sakura put her hands on her hips. "But you could tell that he wanted to! So, I'm guessing you're here for boss' birthday?"

You nodded. "I have something planned, so if you want to come-"

"Of course I want to come! Let's go!"

You were dragged by Hannah and Sakura out to the car. "I know where Eros is! He works at a cafe not too far from here!"

Sakura typed in the name of the cafe into the GPS and Rantaro drove to the address. You got out of the car and walked into the cafe.

"Welcome." The worker at the desk greeted. You leaned on the desk. "Well, aren't you a cutie?"

"Ah, well. What have you heard?"

You sighed and stood up straight. "Still having trouble with the girlfriend thing, huh Eros?"

"Huh?! Of course I'm-" He gasped. "Wait..." He grinned. "Y/N!" He ran around the counter and hugged you. "It's been so long!"

You ruffled his light blonde hair and smirked. "You really need to get a girlfriend one of these days. Isn't being bisexual supposed to make this easier?" You gently punched his arm.

"Ow, why is it... OH MY GOSH!" He held your hand in his. "Oh my gosh, he actually did it! This is the boss', right?" You nodded and Eros sighed. "Boss and Y/N got someone before me."

"I'm sure you'll find someone. We're doing something for Kokichi's birthday. Wanna come?" Eros nodded. "Of course! I'll leave the store to Jack."

He followed you to the car and hopped in the back. "We're running out of space here, Y/N." Rantaro warned. You shook your head. "Head back to the apartment for a second."

You arrived back at the apartment complex and saw a tour bus parked in front. "I asked a friend." Rantaro sighed. "Well, it works."

"I'll have to stay behind this time." Kiyo said. "I must accompany Angie in her ancient arts. Goodbye."

You waved and glanced at Rantaro. "That's your jealous face."

"HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT MY JEALOUS FACE LOOKS LIKE?!"

Everyone got into the car and you looked at your phone. "Alright... do any of you know where anyone else is?" All three shook their heads. "Sorry Y/N."

"No, it's fine. Now, if my memory serves me..."

"I sent the one with a strange yellow hairstyle to work at a museum." Byakuya told you. "That's all I remember at the moment. They seemed to be interested in history."

"Haru should be at the museum. There's only one at this town, right?" Rantaro nodded. "It's about fifteen minutes away."

You pointed at a flower shop on the GPS. "Let's stop by here first."

"Why?"

"Shin liked flowers, right?"

Hannah nodded. "He was the one who recommended boss to propose at cherry blossom trees!" Eros chuckled. "Quite the romantic one."

Rantaro pulled up and you walked into the store. "Excuse me?" You asked the girl at the counter. "Is there a boy named Shin that stops by here?"

She nodded. "Yes, he comes here almost everyday, even when it's his day off. Is there something you need of him?"

"Yes, he's-"

"Y/N?"

You turned and smiled. "Shin!" He smiled and ran towards you, pulling you into a hug. "Where have you been? After what happened I thought you and boss... died..."

"Of course we wouldn't! Do you think the two of us would die because of something like that?" You flicked his forehead. "Don't be silly."

He held your hand, noticing the ring. "You...!" "Yes we did." He grinned and held your hands. "That's amazing! Did he use my idea?"

"Yep, cherry blossoms and everything."

You took Shin's hand. "Speaking of which, it's Kokichi's birthday today and we're doing something special. Can you come?"

Shin nodded. "Of course! Let's go."

"We'll stop by the museum first. Haru works there, from what I know."

Once you arrived at the museum, you walked up to the front desk.

"Yeah, the dinosaur exhibit is that way. Have a great day." Haru sighed and rested his head on his hand.

"Hey there, may I see the exhibit for DICE?"

"We don't have-" He paused and looked up. "Wait, what did you say?" You smiled and crossed your arms. "Boss needs you. You can't spend your birthday without your family, right?"

Haru stood up straight. "W-Wait, you're... You're Y/N!" He walked around the counter and pinched your cheeks. "You're actually here! You..." He teared up.

"Hey Haru." You put your hands over his and grinned. "I assume this job's a drag, so want to go celebrate Kokichi's birthday instead?"

"Would I? Oi, Eren! I'm heading out now!" He followed you out and saw the others.

"Haru!"

"You guys!"

You smiled and looked at your phone. "All we know is that there's five of you in this town. We might need to do a bit of searching for the others."

"Oh!" Haru raised his hand. "Kira visits the museum sometimes! I can tell you her address..." He looked at Rantaro. "Is this your boyfriend or something?"

"No, no." You lifted your hand. "Kokichi is. Well, my fiancé."

A spark seemed to light in Haru's eyes. "No freaking way! He actually did it! Well, now we've really gotta find everyone else!" He leaned over the seat and typed in Kira's address into the GPS.

"Come on, Rantaro, we've only got a few hours left!"

He pulled up to the house and you walked up to the front door. The moment you knocked, someone answered. "No, I don't want anymore- Y/N?"

She put her hand over her mouth. "Wait, wait, what are you-? No, no, I shouldn't be asking that. This is for boss' birthday, right?"

You nodded. "We'd love for you to come!" She nodded. "Of course! I'd love to." She paused and glanced at your hand, allowing a small gasp to escape her mouth.

"Boss... he..."

"Yep!"

She embraced you, her large earrings jangling from the movement. "Oh my gosh, I'm so happy for you! Well, let's go then! Who do you have right now?"

You put your hand on your chin. "Haru, Hannah, Sakura, Shin, Eros, and you."

"Well, that won't do! Come. I know where Gora and Jax is. They don't live far." She took your hand and got into the car.

"Who's this?"

"You know that Rantaro guy I used to talk about?"

"Oh yeah."

Kira typed an address into the GPS. "This one's Gora's. Jax lives in the same neighbourhood." You nodded. "Alright Rantaro! Step on it... but stay under the speed limit!"

"Aw, Y/N!"

"We're not trying to get arrested here! The police still know who you are, you know!"

Before Rantaro even switched to "park", you opened the door and ran up to the door. Before your knuckles even made contact, the door flung open and you were tackled into a hug.

"Y/N!"

"Gora!"

He smiled. "It's been way too long! When I saw you guys in the window, I didn't know what to say!"

You lifted your hand. "Still think you know what to say?"

He made some strange surprised noise as he backed away. "He-! And you-! FIANCÉ!!" That sentence was the most confusing sentence you had ever heard, but you somewhat understood.

"Oh my gosh! I'll come and congratulate you guys! And say happy birthday! And-"

"Alright, Gora. Let's get the other two before we think about what we're going to do."

Everyone piled up in the car as you walked across the street to Jax's house. You knocked on the door, but there was no answer.

"Jax...?"

"Who's there?"

"Y/N L/N, soon to be Ouma."

"Liar! You- wait what?"

The door burst open, nearly hitting you in the face. "I- uh..." The boy hid behind his hair, which was already covering half of his face.

"Still with the trust issues, I see."

"Wait, wait!" He lifted your hand. "He proposed...?" You nodded. "He did! With the cherry blossom trees and everything."

Jax quietly squealed. "Okay, okay. So, what are you doing here?" You lifted your phone. "It's Kokichi's birthday. Want to come celebrate?"

Jax nodded, aggressively. "Y-Yeah! Do you have everyone?"

"No, we still need Ray."

Jax crossed his arms. "Hm. In all honesty, the only place I can see him working is as the mascot of McDonalds." You blinked. "Um... okay, we'll check there then."

Once everyone was in the car, you turned to Rantaro. "How many McDonalds are there in the city?"

"Too many. Why?"

You pursed your lips. "We'll never get through all of them in time. But..." You turned on your phone and searched up Ray's name. "Just as I thought. Look."

All the DICE members gathered around your phone. "Ooh, he became a street magician!" Sakura exclaimed.

"Yeah. According to this, he always performs on either of these three streets. Let's roll."

Driving through the streets, you put your hand on Rantaro's arm. "There." You got out of the car and looked at the bucket full of money. You took out a dollar bill and scribbled a clown face with the word DICE underneath, slipping it into the bucket.

"Thank you for coming!" Ray bowed and the crowd scattered. He looked into the bucket and the bill you put in immediately caught his eye. "Hold on a second." He looked around and saw you leaning on a tree.

"Hey Ray."

He dropped the bill and ran over to you. "Y/N! You're.. You're alive! Does that mean...?"

"Yep, Kokichi's alive and well too."

Haru popped his head out the window. "AND HE PROPOSED!"

Ray gasped. "No he didn't!" "Yes... yes he did."

He wrapped you in a big hug and lifted you. "Oh my gosh, that's amazing! He's been planning it for so long!!"

You nodded. "And now, we need to go attend his birthday celebration." Ray put you down. "Right! Let's go!"

"What about your money?"

"Nah, just leave it!"

Kokichi arrived home and flopped on couch. "Phew! That was a long day." He looked around, wondering where you were.

He noticed a piece of paper on the table and opened it.

"Ah, so now Y/N has a surprise for me." He grinned. He put down the paper and made his way to Kyoko, Makoto, Hina, Hagakure and Byakuya's house, aka, the Future Foundation.

"Hey Kokichi!" Makoto greeted. "The roof, right?" Kokichi nodded and was led to the stairs leading to the roof.

"Hey Kokichi~" You smiled once he arrived.

"Hey Mind Reader. So, what did you have planned? Are you going to tie me up and pin me down?"

You picked up a candle that was sitting next to your feet, the sun setting behind you. "No, I'm not. It's a lot better. But I admit, this surprise requires a little patience."

"Aw! Fine..."

After a while, the sun finally set, and Kokichi could barely see you because of how dark it was. "Was your plan to kidnap me?"

"Wrong again!"

Candles suddenly lit around you, as well as the one in your hand, and Kokichi teared up.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOSS!!"

Kokichi put his hands over his mouth. "Y-You're right... This is a lot better."

A group hug was formed on the roof of the Future Foundation, the candles lighting the roof around you.

"Best birthday ever."
