《You Saw Right Through Me》Years Later

It's been two years since Kokichi, Maki, Kaito, Ryoma, Tenko, and the others went on to the final town in the country.
There were no ways of communication in case it was hijacked in some way, so you really only had your gut to trust.
"Junko Enoshima really did a number here, huh?" You said while putting documents into files. Kyoko nodded. "It's been about a decade, and now that it's almost over, I'm glad we had as little casualties possible."
She stopped.
"Kyoko?"
You put your hand over here and smiled. "I know that you went through two killing games, which I admit is quite traumatizing. Especially the part where you almost died but had the medicine for the poison."
You put the now full box of documents on the bottom shelf in her office and looked back at her. "But I know that you were vital to everyone surviving, so don't go blaming yourself for the ones that didn't."
Kyoko stared at you for a minute before smiling. "Shuichi was right. You do know what to say all the time."
Suddenly, the door burst open and Kaede came running in. "Guys! A helicopter is nearing... but it's not one of ours."
You and Kyoko looked at each other, then followed Kaede to the observation room, where all the security cameras are connected. "See, right there."
Kyoko leaned forward to get a better look at the screen. "Y/N, go inform Hajime."
You ran to where Hajime and Nagito were and burst through the door. "We have an issue."
The two looked at each other then followed you.
"What's the problem." Hajime looked over Kaede's shoulder. "That doesn't look like it belongs to the Future Foundation." Nagito pursed his lips together. "How unlucky."
You stood up straight. "I'll try to hold them off."
A lot had changed over the past two years, but the worst thing was that you couldn't use your powers anymore. Mikan did a check up and said that you were healthy as ever... which was odd.
"W-what?!"
You looked at your hand. "But... how...?"
Fast forward to now, your only source of offense was your swordsmanship, archery, knife throwing, and different combat styles. Actually, that was a lot now that you thought about it.
"Nagito will come with you." Hajime said. "He's really lucky, so he should be able to help out."

You and Nagito both ran outside and looked upon the helicopter. "I can only see three people inside." You squinted.
"Shoot- look out!"
The helicopter shot something at Nagito, presumably a small bullet, but... "It... hit a bird." You looked down at the now bleeding bird, then at Nagito.
"What are even the odds of a bird happening to be flying by at the exact time, in the exact spot a bullet is being shot?"
Nagito chuckled. "Things like this happen pretty often, to be honest."
I guess this is what Hajime meant. "Okay, so we've got to figure out a way to bring the helicopter down without injuring the people inside too badly."
Nagito nodded. "I think you should be the most careful. You don't have the kind of luck Makoto or I have."
You examined the helicopter. "Seems like the bullet shot through that." You pointed at a machine gun attached to the helicopter.
"Hm, looks like only one of the bullets activated though."
"HOW DID-"
The other machine gun activated, but this time all the bullets fired. "I... don't think a flock of birds is coming anytime soon." You whispered.
Nagito hugged you and shut his eyes.
"Wait, Nagito-!"
Then, another helicopter came flying in. Two people jumped from it and held up shields to protect the two do you from the bullets, while the ones still in the new helicopter went on offense.
"You two alright?"
Your eyes widened at the familiar voice. "Kaito!" He grinned. "Long time no see!"
Nagito smiled at you. "I promised Kokichi I'd protect you while he was gone."
Maki lowered her shield. "Seems like you didn't do much protecting to me." You chuckled.
"Yes, I'm sorry. A scum like me should never be assigned to protect such a shining beacon of hope!"
"Alright, Nagito." You patted his back and looked at the two helicopters facing off. "Kokichi's on there?"
Kaito grunted in affirmation. "They should be coming down any second."
The helicopter that attacked before lowered down, the one from the Future Foundation following.
"Kokichi!"
He looked up at the sound of your voice and hopped out of the helicopter before it even touched the ground. "Y/N!"
He jumped into your arms, making the two of you fall over. "I missed you!" You exclaimed. Kokichi giggled. "Of course you did."

"A little, 'I missed you too' would be nice."
"Nah..."
Tenko hopped out of the helicopter. "You oughta learn some manner, degenerate!" You sat up. "Himiko has been waiting for you for so long! You should go say hi!"
Tenko nodded and ran inside. "Kaito, Maki. Shuichi's been rather lonely without the two of you." Kaito grinned. "Maki Roll, we should go say hey, too!"
Kaito gripped Maki's hand and ran inside as well. Ryoma walked out and you smiled. "Everyone's missed you. Go say hey!"
He looked at you for a moment and then smiled. "Thank you, Y/N."
Fuyuhiko and Peko walked out of the helicopter. "Nekomaru and Akane are coming by later. They just needed to do a quick final check."
You nodded. "Sure thing!" The two of them walked inside, leaving you and Kokichi by yourselves.
"So, what have you been doing?" He asked.
Before you answered, you gasped. "Kokichi! You grew an inch!" You held your hand by his forehead.
He smiled. "Yeah! Don't I look so much taller now?"
You put your hand on his cheek. "You're adorable, you know." His cheeks turned red and he backed away.
"Nuh-uh! I'm HOT. You're cute!"
"That's not what you looked like when we were having a pool party at my house."
"That was years ago!"
You laughed and held his hand. "Come on! We've all been dying to see you!"
It's been years since the whole, "Despair Era" of the country. Byakuya had bought everyone from within the End Wall an apartment complex, though you thought it was a bit excessive.
"W-we can get our own houses, you know!" You panicked once you saw the cheque. Byakuya shook his head. "By now, I doubt you'll be able to find anything more than a shed by the time you need to move out of headquarters."
Asahina crossed her arms. "So cold, Byakuya." She turned to you. "By the way, there's someone who's been dying to see you!"
She took your hand and brought you to the front of the Future Foundation headquarters, where you saw a familiar face.
"Genesis!"
She looked up from her book and smiled. "Y/N!" You stared at her for a minute. "You're... how old now?"
"16!"
You inhaled sharply. "I am so old."
"YOU'RE ONLY FOUR YEARS OLDER THAN ME!"
Kokichi walked up next to you and grinned with his hands behind his head. "Yeah, and now you're at the legal drinking age!"
Genesis hid a grin behind her hand. "So did Kokichi finally gather the guts to ask you to be his partner?"
Kokichi froze. "GENESIS, GET BACK HERE!" He chased Genesis around the front of the headquarters as Byakuya walked out.
"What a nuisance..." He muttered. "Anyways, we found her sister in one of the shelters and they're currently living together."
"That's good." You said. He nodded. "Right. Once all of you move out, as well as those from Jabberwock Island, Kyoko, Makoto, Hina, Hagakure, and I will be living in headquarters."
"Will it become a school?" You asked.
"Yes. But it will not be like Hope's Peak, where people who are exceptionally good at something attend. We decided that we wouldn't have anymore of that in the country, since the whole country seemed to lean on Ultimates entirely."
He then paused to look at Kokichi and Genesis, who were wrestling on the ground. "He... looks like he's the same age as her."
"He looks at least three years younger than he actually is."
After about a week, all 16 of you moved out of the Future Foundation headquarters and lived in the apartment complex Byakuya had bought.
You all had lived there for quite a while. Tenko, Himiko, and Angie were roommates. Kaito and Maki were roommates. Rantaro and Kiyo were roommates. Miu and Kiibo were roommates. And of course... you and Kokichi were roommates.
You still remember the way he climbed onto you so that you were forced to room with him, even though you were planning on doing so anyway.
One day, you came back from hanging out with Genesis to see Kokichi wasn't in the apartment. "Kokichi?"
There was a small scrap of paper on the dining table that read,
"Hm... I wonder what he's doing there."
In Rantaro and Kiyo's apartment, Kokichi was ranting to Rantaro while lying on their couch.
"And then what am I supposed to do if they say no? Am I going too fast? But we're 22! What if they're secretly cheating on me? Nah, they wouldn't. What if I'm secretly cheating on them when I sleep."
Kiyo crossed his arms. "I have never witnessed Kokichi in such a nervous state."
Rantaro chuckled. "Okay, Kokichi. I helped you plan out how you'd become their boyfriend. I can help with this, too."
