《You Saw Right Through Me》Reminisce

You turned around and faced the transparent body of the blue haired girl that caused all your friends pain and suffering. Lowering yourself to the ground, you crossed your arms and eyed Tsumugi. "Well?"
She looked at the ground, but then up at you. "If you expect me to apologize-" "I don't." She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as you turned away. "I don't expect you to apologize. I expect you..." You turned your head. "... to stay far away from my friends. I can tell your time here is limited, unlike me and Shinguji-chan. So make the most of it... but no where near my friends."
Tsumugi was silent as you pushed off the ground and flew off. She tilted her head. "Even after death, they care for their friends. So odd..." She looked at her hand that was slowly fading. "I wonder why I don't stay here..."
You stopped while in the air and looked down at her. "Because you have nothing left to do here." Her lips parted slightly, but then she smiled. "You're right. Danganronpa was my world, so I can't do anything anymore." Those were her last words before disappearing.
As you stared in the spot she was just hovering, you shut your eyes. "This could've ended well for you too, you know." You flew off and scanned the city. "Ah, there they are." You descended and landed on the ground to follow the group.
"Alright, we have a large room in the underground floor all of you can stay in." Makoto explained. "Is that alright with everyone?" Everyone nodded and were led inside. You went through the floor and saw the room.
It looked a bit like a fancy bunker to you, with 9 bunk beds, and side tabled in between. There was a plant in the corner of the room, days away from dying. You hovered over to it and brushed against the leaves with your fingers. The moment you did, the leaves turned green again and it looked like a new plant.
"Wow, didn't know you knew how to do that." "HEEK! Oh, hey." You looked at Kiyo's sister. "You and you brother are both very good at doing that." You looked at the plant and flew backwards. Makoto and everyone else walked in and you sat at the top of one of the bunks.
"Is this where we'll be staying?" Tenko asked. Makoto nodded. "If you like, you may also officially join the future foundation. It would be a great help, but if you do not want to, I won't make you." He left, leaving everyone in the room.
"So... what do we do now?" Miu asked. You tilted your head. "Since when was I able to hear them...?" You whispered. You stood on the ground and looked at everyone. You walked over to Kirumi. "Don't they look hungry?"
Her eyes slightly widened. "Does anyone want to eat?" Himiko looked up and smiled. "Sure! I'm actually kind of hungry." Kirumi nodded and walked off to ask Makoto where the kitchen was. Rantaro looked around. "I guess we should assign beds."
After that was done, you heard something that sounded like pots and pans and flew to where the sound was coming from. Kirumi was in the kitchen making omurice, Teruteru helping her. "You know, missy, you really are a looker. And you can cook? What a-" You hit Teruteru in the head to cut him off.

"W-what, who-" "Apologies, but I really must bring these to my friends." Kirumi took three trays, each with some food on it, and walked back to the underground bedroom. You followed her, but just before doing so, you looked back at Teruteru. "I don't know who you are, but you better watch out if that's how you'll be treating my friends."
You went underground and saw everyone sitting in a circle on the floor, staring at their omurice. Himiko sighed. "Is there something wrong?" Kirumi asked. Tenko chuckled nervously. "Nothing's wrong, it's just... Y/N used to write cute messages on our omurice with ketchup." Kirumi smiled. "They seem like the type to do that, don't they?"
Rantaro chuckled. "Man, I never got the chance to taste their cooking." Kaito laughed. "Y/N was probably the only person that kept us from burning down the academy with us inside." Everyone laughed.
"Okay, remember the Insect Meet and Greet?" Tenko asked.
Kokichi groaned. "Don't remind me."
"It was your idea in the first place!" Himiko scoffed.
"You're lucky enough Y/N went in and saved you."
.
"Oh my gosh, remember when Y/N threw the tennis ball at you in your research lab, Ryoma?"
"Ah, how could I forget?"
.
"Shuichi, I never got to see you without your hat until now!"
"Yeah..."
.
"Okay, okay, remember when Tenko slammed Shuichi to the floor?"
"Himiko, she did that to you, too!"
.
"Kokichi and Y/N were totally ********* while they hung out."
"Miu!"
"Be honest with me, can you picture Y/N doing that?"
"Of course not!"
.
"Kaito, you'd never actually train!"
"I was sick, okay?"
"Yeah, and you weren't sick while talking about the vastness of the universe."
"Maki Roll!"
.
"Since when did Maki accept those kinds of nicknames?"
"She also confessed to him."
"Do you want to die?"
.
"Okay, favourite part."
"Definitely when Kokichi got choked."
"HEY!"
"When Y/N teach Gonta how to make paper butterflies!"
"Definitely when Y/N kicked that exisal."
"HUH? WHEN?"
"You weren't there."
"I like when Y/N let me test my magic on them."
"Not the knife and box thing, right?"
You smiled as you saw the light in everyone's eyes come back. Kokichi looked up at the bed and his eyes widened as he saw a flash of light.
"Hey Y/N, wanna sing us a song?" Rantaro asked. Your eyes widened and you went to tackle him. "Rantaro, you little-" You cut yourself off by collapsing your head into his chest and mumbling. "You can sing?" Himiko asked. You lifted your head and nodded. "Let's hear it!" Kaede said. You got up and sat on your bed. "Fine.." Rantaro went to your closet and came back out with a guitar and handed it to you. You shut your eyes and began playing.
Kokichi blinked. "Did... any of you see that?" Himiko nodded. "That wasn't... a fake memory, was it?" Kirumi shook her head. "It couldn't have been. We didn't get to see any flashback lights, and it wouldn't add to the fact that we thought we were Ultimates."

"It looked kind of like a sleepover." Kaede noticed. Kokichi looked down. "Rantaro... do you remember anything about Y/N? Before the killing game?" Rantaro put his finger on his chin. "Uh... not really... but I do remember something about fire? And sirens."
Kokichi nodded. "Why'd you ask?" Kaito asked. Kokichi visualized the flashback. "Well, Rantaro seemed to be the one closest to Y/N at the time." Kaito looked at Rantaro, or rather his necklace. He remembered when you would always wear it. But now, Rantaro is wearing the one you made for him.
"They did have some sort of bond with him." Shuichi remembered. Rantaro leaned on one of the bunk beds. "Do you really think we were close?" He looked at the necklace you gave him. "If so... does that mean that I know the most about them?"
Kokichi nodded and fidgeted with the ring you gave him. Somehow, he thought it would help him remember something. Someone knocked on the door, and Makoto came in with a girl with light purple hair. "Hello, are you all doing okay?" Everyone nodded.
"This is Kyoko Kirigiri, one of the members of the Future Foundation. She's going to try and find out what exactly was altered." Makoto left, leaving Kyoko in the room with everyone. "I'm Kyoko Kirigiri, as you know already. I'm the former Ultimate Detective." Shuichi's eyes widened a bit.
Kyoko pulled a stool and sat down with a notebook. "Alright, can you tell me what you remember about Hope's Peak Academy?" Shuichi stood up and explained everything he remembered. Kyoko made a confused expression once he finished. "I can definitely tell you memory was altered."
Shuichi nodded. Kyoko tapped her pen on her chin. "What about your life before the killing game?" Everyone looked at each other. "We don't remember..." Kaito muttered. Kyoko nodded and wrote another thing down in her notebook. "What about the one person you said you lost?"
Kokichi looked at the ground. "That was Y/N L/N." Kyoko's lips parted a bit. "You mean the person that went missing a few years ago?" Kokichi nodded. "Yes! That's them!" Kyoko looked at the door. "They don't seem like the type to enter a killing game."
Rantaro looked down. "They weren't." Her eyes widened a little, and she wrote down in her notebook. "But there's only 15 of you. Are you sure there wasn't anyone else?" Kokichi tensed up. "Well... there was Tsumugi Shirogane, but she was the mastermind of everything." Kyoko nodded and wrote in her notebook again.
"What do you remember about Y/N's personality?" Everyone looked at each other and smiled. "Well..."
"They were really caring."
"And smart!"
"And they were pretty athletic."
"But they were really kind as well."
"They were also really helpful."
Kyoko wrote all of these down and paused. "May I ask, did they kill themselves?" It went silent. She nodded and wrote in her notebook. "I apologize if that was a sensitive subject for any of you, but this is my job."
She stood up and went out of the room. "Makoto, can you please get Mikan? They may have injuries." He nodded and ran off. Kyoko looked down at her notebook. "Their personality didn't change..."
~Flashback~
"U-um, excuse me?" Kyoko looked up from her work and saw someone at their door. "S-sorry for the intrusion, but I'd like to say something." They bowed. "Thank you for helping out with the case!" Kyoko's eyes widened a little. She had never gotten someone thank her for finding them. "No problem, but be careful next time." The person smiled, bowed one more time, and left.
~End Flashback~
Kyoko shut her notebook and went to the meeting room. Meanwhile, Mikan was checking everyone for wounds, while Ibuki was behind her, asking her what she was doing.
"What's that?"
"Ooh, that's a nasty bruise!"
"Did you know if you cross your eyes like this, you can see double vision?"
Kaede giggled. "She's lively." Ibuki nodded aggressively. Mikan sighed. "A-alright, there's no severe wounds, o-other than scratches. I-is there a-anything else?" Ibuki slapped Mikan on the back. "You've gotta be more confident, Mikan!"
Kokichi was on the bottom bunk of the bed, fidgeting with his ring again. Ibuki skipped over. "Huh? You're already married?!" Kokichi's face turned bright red. "W-what?! No!" Ibuki looked at the ring and her eyes sparkled. "Lemme guess, you wanna hear a love song?"
Kokichi looked at Ibuki. "Totally." She took out her guitar and began playing a slow melody. "D'you know this song?" Kokichi's eyes widened a little and he looked down. "Yes... I do." Ibuki giggled. "Alright, I won't sing then! You all have to!"
She continued playing guitar as everyone looked around nervously. You giggled and began singing out of instinct.

Everyone looked around, trying to figure out who was singing. Soon enough, Kaede continued the song.
Kirumi decided to join in, too
Tenko joined in.
Then Himiko.
Kaito gently elbowed Maki, and she scoffed and joined in.
Then Kaito joined her.
Then Kiibo and Miu.
Angie and Kiyo sang together.
And then everyone sang.
Kaede and Kaito looked at Shuichi, and he sighed and began singing.
Rantaro and Kaede continued.
Then Ryoma and Himiko
Kirumi put her hand on Gonta's arm and they sang.
Kokichi began singing out of instinct.
His eyes widened when everyone sang together, and he saw someone sitting on the bottom bunk in front of him, singing along.
Kokichi teared up as you looked up at him and smiled.
You slowly flew up to him and put your hands on his cheeks. "You're not alone, and you never will be." You faded away, and Kokichi saw everyone that was behind you, singing along.
Ibuki stopped playing and smiled. "I can tell that song goes deep into your hearts. Maybe I'll play it again!" Mikan smiled and looked at Ibuki. "Ibuki, come on... I think I hear Hajime calling." Ibuki nodded and skipped away, following Mikan.
Kokichi looked at the ceiling and leaned back. "Man, you guys are awful singers." Everyone laughed, making Kokichi smile. It was probably the first time no one tried to kill him instead. The words you said echoed through his ears.
