《You Saw Right Through Me》Sleepover (Your Backstory 4)

"Hey Y/N!" Maki, Miu, Tenko, and Korekiyo greeted once you opened the door. You waved and led them inside. As you passed by one of the photos hanging in the hall, you kissed your index finger and put it on your mother's face in the photo. Tenko leaned over and looked at the photo.
"Is this your mom?" You smiled and nodded. "Pretty, isn't she?" Tenko's eyes widened and her head shot up. "Sorry, sorry, sorry! I forgot!" You chuckled and turned around. "Don't worry. It's nice when people remind me of my mom." All of them looked at each other. "By the way, Rantaro's in the living room already, so just put your stuff there."
"HUH?!" Angie yelled. "He's already here?" You nodded and one of the maids walked towards you. "Would you like me to get a guest room ready?" You shook your head. "They'll just stay in my room, Mina." The maid nodded and lead the others to the living room.
"U-uh.. Rantaro's... actually already here." Korekiyo said. Rantaro was slumped on the couch with the TV on. "Hey." He greeted. Maki tilted her head. "W-when did you get here exactly?" Rantaro looked a his phone. "4 hours ago. I'm almost always here."
The doorbell rang again. "Rantaro, can you get that?" You yelled. Rantaro groaned. "Hina, can you get that?" He asked one of the maids. She nodded and went to the door. "Good evening." Kirumi greeted, Shuichi, Kaito, Himiko, and Kiibo standing behind her. "This house is freaking huge!" Kaito pointed out.
"Ooh! They do have maids!" Himiko exclaimed once she saw Hina. Hina waved and let them inside. "So... big!" Shuichi marvelled once they got inside. Hina told them to put their bags in the living room. "Ah, so we weren't the first here." Kiibo said. Angie eyed Rantaro. "Whether or not you came at the same time as us, Mr. Avocado came here first." "Why does everyone keep calling me that?!" Rantaro complained.
Once everyone arrived, Rantaro got up and went to your room. "They're all- WOWIE, OKAY!" He turned around once he walked through the door. "Oh, Rantaro." You put down the throwing knife you had. "Why were you aiming it at the door?!" He questioned. You threw the throwing knife at the target hung in your room, hitting the centre. "I was just startled."
"Well, everyone's here." He told you. You nodded and walked with him downstairs. "Hello!" You greeted with a smile on your face. Everyone waved. "Hina, what time is it?" She looked at her pocket watch. "4:37pm." You clapped your hands together. "Alright! Let's go to the swimming pool then!"
Rantaro fist pumped. "You won't believe their pool!" Everyone looked at each other. "We don't have swimsuits." Kaede said. You looked at Hina and she nodded, leaving the room.
A few minutes later, she returned with swimsuits. "Just find your size and go with Y/N to the pool." Everyone gathered around Hina, each of them telling her their size, and she providing them with the swimsuit they needed.
"I have my own, so I'll be right back!" You said, running upstairs. Rantaro smirked. "Heehee." Tenko tilted her head. "What are you thinking?" He closed his eyes and turned around. "Nothing~ The washrooms are that way, by the way!" Miu's head shot up. "Washrooms??"

Kokichi looked down at his swimming trunks. "Shuichi, why do mine look so small?" Shuichi looked at his friend. "Well, you're small, so maybe that's why." Kokichi looked up at Gonta, who had swimming trunks that he could fit his whole body in. "Alright..."
Hina led everyone to the pool, and they all marvelled at how large it was. "Is that a slide?!" Kaito asked, putting his hand above his eyes to shield the sun. Maki knelt down near the pool. "Ooh! The water's the perfect temperature!" Kiibo sat down on a chair. "I probably won't spend too much time in the water."
Rantaro heard the door. "And three, two, one." "Hey, everyone!" Everyone turned towards you, and their jaws dropped. "Y-Y/N?!" Himiko covered her face. "S-so... beautiful.."
The wind blew through your hair, a slight sheen on your skin from sunscreen, and the sun reflecting off your eyes. "Everyone ready to go in?"
Kokichi turned around and gripped onto Shuichi's shoulders. "Help..!" Shuichi looked down and saw that Kokichi's face was bright red. And he could've sworn he saw blood dripping from his nose. "Ah..."
Everyone played around in the pool, but you noticed Kokichi was staying by the shallow end. "Are you alright?" You said, swimming towards him. He averted his eyes, pink dusting his cheeks. "I, uh... can't swim." You smiled and took his hands. "Come on, we're going to the deep end."
You moved back, slowly pulling him towards the deep end. "W-wait, Y/N-!" "Don't worry, I've got you!" You continued to pull him towards the deep end until Kokichi couldn't touch the ground. You pulled him closer to you, and he rung his hands around your neck. "D-don't let me go!"
You giggled. "Don't worry, I'm the one who taught Rantaro how to swim, you'll be fine!" Rantaro gasped. "You're not supposed to say that!" As Rantaro kept yelling at you, you turned back at Kokichi. "Alright, just kick your legs as if you're on a bike."
Kokichi began doing that as you slowly moved away from him. "Alright, now move your arms in and out to make you float." Kokichi gripped onto your arms so you wouldn't let go. "Don't worry, I won't let you drown!" You assured. You slowly moved away from him, making his grip loosen.
After a few seconds, he began to sink. "Y/N!" He yelled before his head went under. You swiftly dove down and pulled him up. "I told you I wouldn't let you drown." He hugged you as you slowly swam backwards towards the edge of the pool.
"Y/N, you look so cute with Kokichi holding onto you like that!" Gonta said. Your eyes widened a little and you looked at the small boy. "I guess so..." You smiled and tapped his shoulder. "The wall's right here." But instead of gripping onto the wall, he held you tighter.

"Young master, it's 6:00!" Hina called out a few hours later. You nodded and told everyone to get out of the pool to change. While they did that, you knocked on your father's office door. "Father, can the maids have the rest of the day off?" He looked up at you. "Of course, but what for?" You looked in the direction your friends were. "I don't know..." He put down his pen and looked you straight in the eye. "You just wanna feel normal, right?"

Your lips parted a bit. He sighed and leaned back in his chair. "I'll tell them to rest for the night, and you and your friends can have your fun." You smiled and left his office. He looked at the picture frame on his desk, where there was a picture of him, your mom, and you when you were three years old. "If only we could go back to normal times."
You went to your room where everyone was waiting. "Wow, Y/N! I didn't know you knew how to throw knives!" Maki said, marvelling at the target with your throwing knives sticking out of it. You walked up to it and took out the three throwing knives you keep in your room. "Want me to show you?"
Everyone stepped back as you stood a few feet away from the target. You held the knife in your hand for a few seconds before you threw it, landing right in the centre of the target. "Whoa..." Kokichi said under his breath. Shuichi smirked. "Hey Kokichi, wanna learn?"
His face burned red and his head snapped to Shuichi. "W-wha-" "Oh, I can teach you!" You offered. Shuichi and Rantaro pushed Kokichi towards you. "Come here." You pulled Kokichi by the arm and put him in front of you.
Rantaro and Shuichi giggled while you pressed up against Kokichi's back. "Alright, make sure that you let go of the knife at the right time, otherwise it might aim at the wrong spot." He nodded, his lips quivering. I'm so going to kill them later.
You put your hand on his arm and your lips slightly parted. You could almost feel his bone. After slightly shaking your head, you whispered in his ear, giving him chills down his spine. "Don't worry, I won't let it hit anyone." Kokichi gulped and you stepped back so he could properly throw it.
Once he did, he accidentally let go too late and it was going straight towards Kiibo. Everyone shut or covered their eyes, but never heard the knife make contact. Rantaro, who never closed his eyes in the first place, told everyone to look.
"Oh my..." Kaito began. "What the heck?" Kaede questioned once she opened her eyes. Everyone looked at where the knife was supposed to be headed, but instead of seeing it sticking out of Kiibo, you were holding it by the handle. No blood was on you whatsoever. "Why do you guys not trust me? When I say I'll do something, I will."
Kokichi ran up to Kiibo. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" He repeated. You chuckled. "Kokichi, trust me, this is very common. I've almost killed my teacher a few times while he was teaching me this." Ryoma tilted his head. "Let me guess, you caught it before it hit him?" You smiled sheepishly and nodded.
"To be honest, I wasn't expecting it to hit him." Rantaro said, leaning on the wall. You threw the knife and it landed in the middle of the target once again. "I think we should do something else now."
Everyone changed into their pajamas, but Maki wouldn't come out of the closet. "Maki, are you alright?" You asked, knocking on the door. Kaito walked up behind you. You looked at him, then back at the closet door. "O-Only Y/N can come in..." Maki said. You slowly twisted the doorknob and went inside.
"Maki, what's wro.. oh." She was sitting on the floor with shorts and a sleeveless shirt. But what was most noticeable were the scars all over her arms and legs. You knelt down next to her. "Where are these from?" She wiped away the tears brimming her eyes. "You know, being clumsy, training, and such." You tilted your head, but decided not to ask what training was.
You looked up at the only light in the room, which was a lamp from when you were little with stars on them. Your eyes lit up a little and you sat cross-legged next to Maki. "See here, look." You pointed to one of her scars. "Doesn't it kind of look like Pegasus?" You pulled out a book from one of the shelves in the closet and opened it to a page titled "Pegasus."
Her eyes widened a bit and she looked at the scars that looked like the constellation. You closed the book and smiled. "Here, these are longer pajamas if you'd like." You gave her new pajamas and left the closet. "Her hair was stuck in the shirt." You lied.
After everyone was changed, you all sat around talking about random things, up until, "Hey Y/N, wanna sing us a song?" Rantaro asked. Your eyes widened and you went to tackle him. "Rantaro, you little-" You cut yourself off by collapsing your head into his chest and mumbling.
"You can sing?" Himiko asked. You lifted your head and nodded. "Let's hear it!" Kaede said. You got up and sat on your bed. "Fine.." Rantaro went to your closet and came back out with a guitar and handed it to you. You shut your eyes and began playing.
Or
As you played, you slightly opened your eyes and made eye contact with Kokichi. His cheeks were light pink, and he had this light in his eyes no one had ever seen before. You smiled a little and continued singing as some people began to dose off.
You leaned on your head board as you continued to play. Your eyes travelled from person to person as you finished up the song. Once you were finished, the only people who were still awake were Shuichi and Rantaro. You gently put down your guitar and motioned for Shuichi and Rantaro to come over.
"I always force them to sing when I sleepover." Rantaro said, bringing his knees to his chest. Shuichi smiled. "You two have been friends for a while, haven't you?" You both nodded and Rantaro glanced at you. "So long that I can tell when they have a crush on somebody~"
You felt like you just choked on air as you struggled to refrain from coughing. "U-uh, why'd you bring that up?" You stuttered. Rantaro and Shuichi looked at each other. "You have a crush on Kokichi, don't you?"
You felt blood rush to your cheeks and you buried your face in your pillow. "Ah, so we were right." Shuichi said. Rantaro made a breathy sob. "Aw, you're growing up!" You lifted your head from your pillow. "Don't... tell him, okay?" Shuichi and Rantaro nodded.
They both went to sleep while you sat up in bed. You looked around the room and saw everyone laying in their sleeping bags. Your eyes stopped on Kokichi, who was the one who had saved you. You brought your knees to your chest. "I'll pay you back by protecting you... no..."

World Master
Hey! I once lived on your world back in 2056. But that was a long time ago and there’s probably no records of my existence. Or, maybe, I haven’t even been born yet… …I’m still figuring out of the timelines correspond. Anyways, I was or will be, or whatever you want to call it (maybe I am?), John Pitcher, a resident at St. Jude’s Hospital for the Mentally Ill. I was a computer programmer and my parents had me admitted there because I was convinced that I had been contacted by Set, the Egyptian god of chaos, about creating a world. Well, apparently, I’m something akin to the great times a hundred grandson of over 10 000 gods, and they didn’t want me to live an ordinary, dull life (well, except for the god of normalcy, but he doesn’t count). Set gave me three years to prepare myself. This begins right at the end of those three years. [participant in the NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] I originally had this as part of the prologue, then I realized that it made a better synopsis. Please note: this might seem a bit clunky because I haven't done a lot of writing, and this is supposed to be a kind of prequel to another story that I plan on doing in the future. I will not be fully explaining everything but instead will be explaining things in that other story. This is mainly to help fill in the lore of the world so that people will have at least a basic idea of how things function. Regardless of that, that story won't be written for at least another year, so deal with it. Note: I am using ideas from several different authors in order to make sure that this can be a proper story. You may or may not recognize where I got them. I am not writing a Fanfiction and do not claim these as my own. I will add to a list of titles below as I find myself using those ideas. World Keeper (obviously) The Wandering Inn The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound (not yet, but eventually) A bunch of others that I haven't thought of yet
