Star's POV

As I breathe hard, I get off of Jalen and lay down. I close my eyes and try to control my breathing again. I look over at Jalen and he looks back at me and starts to laugh. I roll my eyes and wipe the sweat off of my face. We just had a intense play fight and he threw me off the bed. So I got up and started to beat him up. Hmm you must of thought we did something else you little nastiest.

"You're annoying you know that?" I say to him and he shrugs.

"I know. But you love me so it's ok" He says and pulls me onto his lap.

"That's a big word" I say and he nods.

"It is. And it has a lot of meaning behind it" he says and I breathe out. I was very scared of that word. I only ever said that word to my mom. I've seen people tell their significant other that word and get hurt in the end. I don't want that to happen to me.

"Do you love me?" He asks and my heart starts to beat faster. What am I gonna say? As I think my phone rings. Oh thank god. I get up and grab it to see a text from Storm.

"I have to go" I say and grab my bag. As I was about to walk out, Jalen grabs my arm and pulls me into his arms as he sits. I look down at him and sigh.

"You didn't answer my question" he says and I bite my lip. I mean don't get me wrong, I do yk...feel that way towards him but I just can't say the word.

"Yea I do" I say and he smiles.

"I love you too" he says and I tense up a bit. The one sentence I feared the most. He pulls me in for a kiss then lays me down kissing me all over my face. I giggle and try to push him off.

"Jalen, I have to go" I say and laugh out loud. He laughs and pecks my lips.

"I'll walk you out, Cmon" he says and gets up, pulling me up with him. We walk outside to my car. Before I get in, he hugs me and kisses me on my cheek.

"Bye baby, be safe ok. I'll text you later" he says in my ear and I nod. We pull away and I get in my car. I drive off and drive back home. Once I arrive, I text Storm telling her to come outside. She comes out and sits in throwing her bag to the backseat. Once she buckles in, I drive off and drive towards Luzzy's house.

Storm's POV

That text left me smiling like an idiot and I didn't know how to respond to it. I turn to look at Star and see her very focused while driving. Hmm strange. I look and realize she isn't even playing music. Now I that I think about it, she hasn't said a word this whole time.

"Star, are you ok?" I ask her. But get no response.

"Star....STAR!" I yell and she jumps and takes a glance at me.

"Oh sorry, yea what's up?" She says.

"What's wrong?" I ask her and she shakes her head.

"Nothing I'm fine. I was just thinking that's all" she says. I know Star better then Star knows herself.

"Star what's really going on? What were you thinking about?" I ask her. She's quiet for some time but then sighs.

"Jalen told me he loved me" She says lowly and I instantly smile. Awww!. My smile is then gone once I realize she isn't happy about it.

"He told you he loved you. So what's wrong? You don't love him back?" I ask her.

"I mean, I guess I do. I'm just, scared" she says and I nod now understanding what this is all about. She's still scared about this commitment she's made and doesn't wanna get hurt.

"Star, I totally get how you feel right now. I really do. But you can't let yourself think of the negative. If you keep seeing the downs of a relationship and preparing yourself for the worst, then the worst will be guarantee to happen. Stop thinking with your head and think with your heart. You love Jalen and Jalen loves you, live in the moment and enjoy your relationship" I say to her. The car stops and I see we have finally arrived at Luzzy's house.

"You're right Storm, 100% right" She says and looks down.

"Well aren't I always" I say cockily and she lets out a laugh.

"Thank you Storm" she says and I smile at her. We hug and rock side to side.

"What in the world would I do without my cousin" she says and we both laugh.

"Girl I ask myself the same question sometimes" I say and let go from the hug. We both get out the car and see Luzzy walk out and put decorations on her door. She turns to us and smiles.

"Yay you guys are finally here!" She says and hugs the both of us. I look and take in the view of her house. It's huge!!!

"Girl why you ain't tell me you live in a mansion" I say and her and Star laugh.

"I mean, it's not that big" she says and I look at her like she's crazy.

"I'm not even gonna respond to that. Let's just get started" I say and shake my head. Luzzy then gets excited and clasps.

"Yes we should. There's a lot to do. This is gonna be the best party of the summer" she says and leads us inside, we walk over to her kitchen and see many stuff. She each gives us a box and shows us where to set up.

This is gonna be a night to remember!
