Storm's POV
I squint my eyes as I feel the sun through my eyelids. I pat my table for my phone till I feel it in my reach. I open my eyes and look at the time. 10:30. I yawn and get up walking towards the bathroom. I wash my face and brush my teeth. As I do so, I remember yesterday and Josh saying my name. I do a little crazy dance and smile.
Once I'm finish my business in the bathroom. I head towards my moms room. I don't see her so she must be downstairs. I walk down the stairs and almost slip. Gosh that was a close one. I walk into the kitchen to see her eating a bowl of cereal and gossiping with her sister. Aka my auntie. Aka Star's mom.
"Girl I'm telling you. When I saw her daughter I was like there's no way her father is Anthony" my mom said and I hold in my laughter because she sounds like a teenager.
"The child looks just like Trey" my auntie said and my mom gasps causing me to turn around.
"Sis I said the same thing. And she was messing with both of them at the same time before she got pregnant" I laugh at them and make myself a bowl of cereal. They're so messy.
Once I'm done I sit across from her and eat.
"Morning Stormy" mom says and I smile. I like when she calls me my nickname.
"Morning mom"
"Ooo lemme see my pretty nicece" my auntie says and my mom turns the laptop around and I wave.
"Hi auntie!" I say and she blows a kiss at me.
"Hey baby. How are you?" She says. She and my mom are one year apart and they're pretty close. They did everything together growing up. They worked at the same places, and went to the same schools. They were very popular in school. And they kinda still are now. My moms a makeup and hair stylist. And my auntie is a fashion designer. Even at their big age they're still young at heart.

"I'm good thank you. How are you?" I ask.
"I'm doing well. Star was telling me her little idea that she had" she says and I tense up a bit. Time to get ready for my mom to say no.
"What idea did Star have?" My mom asks putting the laptop in between us so my auntie can see us both.
"Well since they are both done school and school is out, Star was thinking that Storm comes and stays in Arizona with us" She says and my mom looks at me.
"Cmon Sis let her go and have fun. We'll take good care of her" my auntie says trying to convince her.
"Girl I'll call you back" my mom says and my auntie nods as she ends the call. My mom looks at me and I finish up my cereal.
"When did you learn about this?" She asks. She's so unpredictable so I don't know how she feels about it.
"Last night" I say slowly.
"Do you want to go?"
"Well it's not a bad idea. It'll be fun. I'm just scared of planes" I say and she laughs.
"Baby you are 17 years old. Get over yourself" she laughs and grabs our bowls and put them in the sink.
"Can I go mom? I ask and she's silent. She turns to look at me and puts her hand on her hip.
"I'll think about it. Go upstairs and get your dirty clothes. I'm gonna do laundry" she says and I nod. I get up and go upstairs. She said she'll think about it. That's definitely a no. Hey it's ok. Life goes on right?
I grab my basket and bring it to the basement. As I'm setting it down. My phone buzzes. I grab it and see a message from Star.

Hopefully she says yes. Cause now I wanna go. I don't really do much. I don't go to parties often like how I used to because Star or Heaven isn't here anymore. And I don't really have friends. I'm cool with a lot of people but I don't really wanna hang like that. As I stand there my mom comes down with her clothes. I always help her sort them out. As we do so, it's silent.
"I can read you like a book. What's on your mind?" She ask throwing the coloured clothes in the washing machine.
"Nothing" I say doing the same.
"Lie again" she says and I sigh.
"I really wanna go to Arizona" I say and she sighs.
"Let me make something clear. When I'm sending you I want you to be on your best behaviour. When your out there you don't only represent yourself you represent me. I raised you right and with manners. Don't let that good behaviour leave you when you're down there" She says pointing at me and I nod.
"Yes ma'am"
"And another thing I'm not sending you there to be with boys and act like a little hoe. Remember I was your age and seen all of this already. I know the game. Do you understand me?" She says and I nod again.
"Yes ma'am" I say to her. She then looks me at me and gives me a small smile.
"Alright. You can go" she says and I scream in excitement. I run up to her giving her the biggest hug and kisses all over her face. She laughs and shakes her head.
"Thank you mom I love you so much!" I jump up and down doing my little happy dance.
"I love you too. Go tell Star. I'm gonna finish up here then we can get to cleaning upstairs" she says and I nod.
I sprint up the stairs and call Star.
"SHE SAID YESSSS!" I yell and we both cheer.
She yells and I laugh. We continue to talk to until my mom calls me to help her clean. We say our byes and I put my phone down. I look at my mirror and smile.
I'm going to Arizona!
