It been a week since the poem read. Today is the basketball game, basically the whole school is coming to watch.

It was the end of the school day and I was at my locker with Dior getting my stuff.

" I gotta go catch the bus for the game before it leaves with out me but I'll see you at the game ight " Dior says placing his head on top of mine and hugging me

" alright " I say as he let's go of me and started walking away

I took the stuff I need out my locker and left to go find Layla.

I went outside and it was blazing hot. I saw Layla by the car with Kennedy and a couple of her other friends.

" y/n hurry we have to get to diors place and get ready then go to the game " Layla yelled rushing me to walk faster

" alright " I say walking faster to the car

" hey guys, how's it going " I added

" it's been cool " the twins Valerie and Yoni say in unison

We all giggled.

" it's been good, how about you" Kennedy says with a big grin

We started driving off to diors place at this point.

" it's been smooth I guess " I say with my attention on my phone

" we heard big shot Mikey is making 77 points for you at the game plus breaking the school record " yoni says

" I'm pretty sure he was joking " I says taking my attention off my phone and engaging in the conversation

" ion think he was joking but don't he got a lil girlfriend " Valerie says putting on lip gloss

" please don't tell me it's yasmine " Kennedy says

" it's yasmine " layla says giggling and stopping at a red light then continuing

" how y'all know her " I asked confused

" we have a little history with toxic yasmine brown " Layla and Kennedy say

The rest of the way we put some songs on and tuned to the music till we arrived at diors place.

" I'll stay in the car and wait for y'all " i say while they go inside to get ready

A few minute started to go by than a few hours. Eventually they came outside.

" y'all look bomb but we better hurry before we're late the game has already started " I said semi yelling at them and showing the time

They quickly got into the car and we left. While we were on the road Layla almost made us crash but we arrived the rivals school.

" yo Layla you buggin, you almost made this full course meal die today " Yoni says getting out the car

We all laughed and got out the car and rushed inside.

We showed and tickets and immediately went into the gym. IT WAS PACKED.

" the whole damn city in this bitch, what we gon do now " Yoni says looking around

I saw Jason, nunu, trey, Emily and other people in one area and I also saw some available seats.

" up their " I say pointing

We nodded and started walking to the seats. We got their and sat down.

" yo y/n your mans already got 69, he's keeping his promise " Jason says as soon I sit down

" he is not my man " I say

" exactly he's mine " Emily says with her black shades on

Jason gave her a stank face.

" but how late are we " I ask still having my attention on the game

" mid second half " nunu says

Dior did an assist to josh and he made a point. The crowd went wild.

We yelled their name and cought their attention, they smiled.

We also seemed to got bronny's and Mikey's attention since they waved at us. I waved back with a smile.

The gamed started to go by quickly everyone was making point left and right.

Mikey started getting into the game and started making crazy points.

" that would be 74 " nunu says

" is Mikey Williams going to break their school record " the game speakers say

At that moment the crowd got crazier.

Their was only 10 seconds to the clock and both teams were tied.

The clock started again and our team had the ball. The timer started getting closer to zero and Mikey didn't have enough time.

Mikey shot the ball from the half court line and everyone wait to see if it went in.

The crowd went wild and start rushing to the court to hug the basketball team.

" and that right their is 77 points for Mikey Williams " Jason says getting up and heading down to the court

I stood their speechless at what just happened.

We tried finding Dior, Josh and everyone else but couldn't because the teams started leaving since the game ended.

" their probably at their bus right now " Layla say

" let's go check " Kennedy says

" I'm gonna go look in the locker room to see if their still their " I say

They agreed and went outside while I went to check the locker room.

I was roaming the halls till I found the locker room. I went inside to see it was only a shirtless bronny and Mikey inside.

I ran up to bronny and hugged him tight.

" congratulations on the win " I say rocking in bronny's arm

He smiled and laughed.

" thank you, we couldn't have done it without Mikey shooting 77 point " bronny says putting on his shirt

He gave us a smile that quickly faded

" I'm gonna be outside with everyone else, I'll see you guys their " bronny says then giving me a kiss on the side of my face and leaving the room while Mikey and I stay

" congratulations " I say smiling and sitting next to him

" thanks " He says while continuing roaming his bag.

" yasmine didn't come did she " I asked

" naw " he said plainly

" and this game was really important to you " I say

" yea " he says looking at me

" besides her 77 huh " I says giggling

" just for you " he said with a grin then getting up to gather his things

" you gotta give yourself credit for the things you do Mikey " I say picking up his bag and giving it to him

He looked at me and smiled, at that point I gave him a genius hug.

" good job " I say with a smile

After awhile we pulled away and left the locker room together and went outside where everyone else was.

We came outside and Mikey went to the bus while I went back to the car.

I arrived back at the car and everyone was already inside. We drove off and went to drop everyone else off then went home.

We arrived home kinda late and we felt really tired so we immediately went to sleep once we got their.

I woke in my room and heard loud bangs on my room door, I got up to open the door.

" rise and shine y/n, I hope your things are already packed " Layla says

" yea " I say with a little giggle while rubbing my eyes

I got out the room and took a shower and did other hygiene things than went down stairs with my bags.

" good morning lil shorty " Dior says with

" we made breakfast " josh says

I rushed to the table to eat but quickly noticed what they did.

" this what auntie used to make on special morning " I say eating the breakfast

" it's good isn't it " Layla says with a smile

I nodded with a mouthful of food.

We heard a knock on the door and Dior went to open the door.

It was a couple of joshs friends and Layla's friends but shortly after Bronny, Legacy, Khoi, Jason, nunu, and Mikey showed up.

" you weren't leaving without saying goodbye to us were you " Legacy says while giving me a hug

" that's what rome did" Khoi says

" no shade though " he added

We just laughed it off.

We had a little send off party till my dad came to get us.

We saw the car pull up outside and we went outside to greet my dad.

" hi dad " I say hugging him

" hi my little sunshine " he says with a huge grin

" hey laybay " he says to Layla

" I haven't heard that nickname in so long " she says laughing

" but hi uncle " she added

" jayyy " my dad says dapping him up

" hey unc " josh says with a smile

" I'll put your guys stuff in the car and wait for everyone in their when your done with goodbyes " he says while putting our stuff in the truck then getting in the car

We looked back and started saying goodbyes their was a lot of tears going on.

" I'm gonna miss you girl " nunu and legacy say hugging me

" me two " Khoi says

" be good for me ight ma " Jason says with a smirk then giving me hug

I laughed and hugged back.

Bronny and I didn't Exchange much words only actions. We hugged for a while then he looked at me.

" your gonna come back right " bronny says with his head on top of mine

" I promise " I say then letting go of him

I faced Mikey and he had already had a smile on his face.

" you got my number, you know who to call when you need someone to talk to " I say with a smile to him

" you " he says laughing then giving me a hug

I pulled away we all came into a group hug before I went into the car.

" lifestyle on 3 " I say

" why lifestyle " Khoi asked

" I don't know, cheers to everyone having a good lifestyle afterwards " I say

We laughed nodded and did lifestyle of three.

" now that's sum weird shit " Dior says from outside the circle

I looked at him and went to give him a hug.

" I'm gonna miss you dior " I say

" me too lil shorty" he says

I looked at all them while Layla, Josh and I went into the car.

I waved bye and we started driving off to the airport.

We got further and further away from the house till it out of sight.
