"Do you think it's possible? That I'm really the daughter of a Goddess?" Layla looks at me with what I can only assume is hope in her eyes.
"Have you met me? A Goddesses personal warrior sent here to be a tool to end a supernatural war." I laugh.
"Of course I think it's possible. In fact, after that display" I point up to the sky "I think it's true."
It would definitely explain a lot. I've always had a theory that her mother must have been a witch, or some sort of powerful being. Not once did I ever think of the possibility that she's the daughter of a Goddess.
"This is amazing! We have a Goddesses warrior, a white wolf and a Goddesses daughter in our pack!" Talia giggles.
"Well technically I'm not a part of this pack, or any pack actually." Layla states.
Talia pouts and leans back in her chair. KC walks up behind her and places a kiss on top of her head as he wraps his arms around her.
I grab layla by the shoulder and turn her towards me "But you could be."
Uncertainty crosses her face followed by hope. I know she's always wanted to be in a pack, but she'd never really admit it. Packs don't take in rogues, no matter why they were rogues. I always thought it was messed up. Especially for people in her position that were born rogues.
"Really?" Her eyes light up as she asks me.
"Of course LaLa, you're family to me. My pack is your pack." I tell her as I pull her into a hug.
She whispers in my ear "Thank you."
'Love are you sure this is a good idea? She's a rogue. What will my pack think if I let her join?' Zane links me.
I let go of Layla and turn to face him.
'They'll think their Lunas sister join the pack. That's all there is to it. If you won't accept her, then you don't accept me.' I link him back.

I hear him sigh through the link 'You know I'll do whatever you want. I'll accept her into the pack.'
I walk over to him and pull him into a hug and give him a kiss. 'Thank you.'
He kisses me back 'I'd do anything for you.'
'I know.' I tell him as I smile up at him.
"Ahh-hhmmm." Felix clears his throat and me and Zane pull apart.
I can feel the heat in my cheeks as I blush. I try to pull away but Zane only let's me turn around, but keeps me in his arms.
"Layla do you want to join this pack?" Zane asks her.
She nods her head quickly "Yes, of course I do."
Zane gives a short laugh "Well then, would you like to join tonight?"
Layla looks taken back by the question. I don't think she expected it to be so easy, or so soon. She quickly replaces the look with determination as she nods her head "Yes."
"Alright, follow me to my office." Zane starts to go inside but stops when he sees everyone hugging Layla and giving her well-wishes.
'Are you coming with us my love?' He links.
'Of course.' I smile over at him. 'I wouldn't miss this for anything.'
"Goodnight!" KC and Talia call out as the head inside.
"See y'all in the morning!" Zara throws out as she walks in behind them.
Alexa comes and pulls me into a quick embrace "Thank you for helping me."
I stroke the back of her hair "Anytime."
Felix gives us a smile as he grabs her hand and pulls her inside. She waves as she follows behind him.
"Shall we?" Zane holds his arm out to allow me and Layla to walk ahead of him.
We both giggle at his antics. I grab Laylas hand as I pull her to the elevator, Zane only a few steps behind us. Before I make it Layla breaks free of my hold and takes off for the stairs yelling "Race ya!"

"Cheater!" I shout back as I follow after her.
As I take off I glance back and see Zane press the elevator button.
No fun...
I chase after Layla and as soon as I'm about to gain on her she turns to face me and yells "BOO!"
The sudden action doesn't scare me, but does startle me. I lose momentum and slip, which only makes her laugh harder as she lunges up the stairs.
Oh hell no. Two can play that game...
I pull from my wolf strength and dart up the stairs, passing Layla in the process. As soon as I reach the top of the floor we're racing to I jump up and down in victory.
"Haha! I win! I win!" I chant as I jump around.
"Cheater!" Layla yells as she tackles me to the ground.
We both roll around laughing when a sudden deep voice startles us.
"Actually, I think I win." Zane says.
We both turn our heads to look at him, and he's standing in front of his office with his hand on the doorknob. He has a smug smile on his face. I let my jaw drop open in fake shock and I can see the amusement in his eyes.
"Umm, actually it was a race up the stairs. Sooo..." Layla giggles as she stands up and dusts herself off.
"Oh really?" Zane lifts an eyebrow "I thought it was a race to my office." He grins.
I stand up and dust myself off too. "It was." I say as I look at Layla. "So technically..."
I dart forward as Zane was opening the door and push past him so I'm the first in the room.
"I win! I win!" I start jumping around in victory again. As they both walk in I point to them and yell "HA!"
Zane is shaking his head back and forth with a smile on his face. Layla just gives me a playful glare. I walk over to Zanes chair and take a seat and look at them both. Zane just raises his eyebrow at me and Layla looks shocked I took his seat.
"What?" I question as I place my hands behind my head and feet on his desk. "Y'all have to stand to do the induction."
Laylas mouth forms an O, and Zane just shakes his head at me as he laughs. Zane walks over to his desk and pulls out a blade that sits inside its holder. Laylas eyes widen slightly.
"It's okay, it's just to make a small cut on your palm." I tell her.
She looks at the blade for a moment then me and nods.
"Are you ready?" Zane asks as he faces her.
She straightens up and nods her head at him "I am."
"I need to know your last name to do this." He tells her.
"Oh, it's Robinson." She tells him.
"Huh, unusual name for a shifter." Zane says.
Layla just shrugs "It's my dad's last name, and as far as I know it's mine too."
"Okay then. Let's do this." Zane nods.
"Do you Layla Robinson, promise to protect the Shadow Walkers Pack members and all it's land to the best of your abilities?"
"I do."
"Do you promise to make this pack your own?"
"I do."
"Do you promise to protect your Alpha and Luna with your life?"
Layla looks at me and smiles "I do."
Zane cuts his palm with the blade and hands it to Layla. She takes the blade and cuts her palm too. Zane uses his other hand to take the blade and sits it on the desk.
"By linking your hand with mine, you link your blood with mine. In doing so you link your life with mine, my Lunas and my packs. Do you Layla Robinson link your life to the Shadow Walkers?"
Layla grabs his cut palm with her own and a triumphant smile appears on her face "I do."
