"Hi daddy, hey Max. What's up?"
Goddess how stupid was that? Mental face-palm.
I can't believe I'm standing in front of them naked. Max does an actual face-palm and my dad looks away. Granted it's not exactly the first time, as shifters being nude is normal for us. Just not exactly in these types of circumstances.
"Goddess Nova, get some clothes on please." My dad says.
"Please." Max adds.
"Sure thing."
I pick up the clothes I left on the balcony and rush into the nearest room, which was thankfully a bathroom. I quickly dress and head back out to face my family.
"Much better."
My dad just has to always have a comment. For as long as I can remember, he always has to be the first and last to say something.
"Zane called me earlier and told us everything." My dad says.
"Everything?"
"Everything." Max answers.
"Oh."
Fuck.
"Yes oh. When were you going to tell us what Lane did and that Zane was your mate?!" My dad almost yells.
"I just woke up today, so excuse me for being unconscious."
I have to stop myself from rolling my eyes. My father hates any and all forms of disrespect.
"He had time to call and tell us. So why didn't you?"
Seriously? I was on the brink of death, didn't die, found my second chance mate, and found out my sister has a mate that's my new mates Beta. Sorry I haven't found time in the ten hours I've been awake to call.. mental eye roll
"I'm sorry I was unconscious and lost my phone when Lane tried to kill me, and I'm guessing he took it. I don't know what you want me to say or do, I was honestly already thinking about how to contact y'all before y'all showed up. Zanes been busy with rogues so I was going to ask him to use the phone after he got back. But I'm thinking now it wasn't rogues after all."

"No it was us, but I'm still disappointed it took you so long to even think of contacting us. Regardless, did Zane see you in wolf form?"
I know my dad is worried but I think I was so fucked up, and covered in blood and dirt Zane probably didn't even notice my fur coloring.
"No, he didn't."
It's a lie and I know it, but it's one I need to tell. Hopefully he really didn't notice and they don't ask him.
"What about Lane? Where is that son of a bitch?"
Max says with a deep growl and his eyes start glowing. I know he wants to kill him, probably almost as much as I do. He had been happy I found a mate that had seemed to love me. Though he thought it was weird we hadn't marked each other yet, and he wasn't the only one. Only now I know the reason.
"Don't worry about him, I'll deal with him myself soon enough. That I can promise you."
Before either one of them has time to reply we hear the elevator door ding and open. My father looks at me and mouths
"We'll talk about this later."
And I just nod in response. Next thing I know Zane is walking through the door and straight towards us, well me specifically. He comes up beside me and wraps his arm around my shoulder.
"So how's everything going up here?"
"Good." My father, brother and I all answer at the same time and I can't help but giggle.
Goddess I love that giggle. I could listen to it all day and night. Actually I'd rather hear her making other sounds at night. I know they've been talking about something, they just don't want me to know what.

If I had to guess I'd say her ex. I have to suppress the growl I want to let out at the thought of my mates ex guy. Thanks to my phone call I've learned his name is Lane.
Like are you fucking kidding me? Why is it so close to mine?
Regardless I hate this motherfucker and want him dead, and soon he will be. I know Nova said she could do it and wanted to handle it on her own, but what kind of mate would I be if I let her risk getting hurt again?
A shitty one.
"Well it's been a long night, and we just wanted to make sure Nova was okay. We best be going."
Blaze eyes Max then Nova, like he's mindlinking. But his eyes aren't glazed over, so he can't be.
"Oh Zane, can my dad and Max please have a room here for the night? It's such a long trip back and it's already so late that-"
"Say no more love. Of course they can say, I was about to offer it myself."
"Well we wouldn't want to intrude."
Max speaks this time, yet I know he doesn't mean it.
"Please, it's no intrusion at all. Like I said before, we're basically family now. I'll have my beta Felix show you each to a guest room on the seventh floor."
I give them a tight lipped smile, when my mate speaks up again causing my smile to become real.
"Oh Goddess! Speaking of his Beta Felix, my sister Alexa is his mate! She's here now too!"
"Really? Little Lexa is here? I'll definitely have to say hello in the morning."
Max seems genuinely happy and I don't like it. That's my now female Beta, and I don't like how friendly he seems to be with her.
"Oh definitely! I'm sure she'd love to see you both!"
"I'm glad. I always knew that girl had shifter potential. And she'll be a female Beta at that? That's amazing."
Blaze chimes in, it seems they both know her. This puts me slightly at ease, at least it's not just Max who seems happy about seeing her. While they're speaking I mindlink Felix to come and show them each to a room.
Felix comes quickly and I'm thankful, I want time with my mate. They all three say their goodbyes for the night and she leaves them with a hug. I thought her father, brother and pack had mistreated her, but perhaps I'm wrong.
Finally, we're alone.

What would you do if your entire life was suddenly changed at the drop of a hat? The entire population of the world that you were born into suddenly transported to another planet along with the rest of the intelligent inhabitants of the Milky Way Galaxy. A strange System talking to you about abilities and levels without a care for your opinions. Thousands of monster spawning dungeons placed around the new world without a care for the new inhabitants. And if those weren't bad enough, a forced invitation for one thousand random individuals to compete in a livestreamed competition within a dungeon with the rank of Administrator as the prize. You don’t know? Well, it’s actually pretty simple. You survive. Our story follows Wolf Adler as he, along with every other human on Earth, are faced with a strange blue box filling up their vision, warning them about an upcoming reappropriation of every being of sufficient intelligence to a new planet for the initialization of some sort of System. Will he perish in this new world? Or will he thrive? Except for the first 4 chapters, Book 1 has been moved to Amazon Kindle Unlimited. Except for the first 4 chapters, Book 2 has been moved to Amazon Kindle Unlimited. If you do not have the financial means to purchase the books, then you may DM me on discord through my discord channel for a pdf version of the book. There is only one main protagonist, but the story does have more than one perspective that it is told from. It's mostly first person from the main protagonist and third person perspective for the livestreams. The beginning of the story has also been massively rewritten since most of the reviews as of 1/23/2022. The release schedule right now is dependent on my college classes and coursework, but I always try to keep it to at least one chapter every other day, if not one chapter every day. I do not write sexual content or harem stuff. I am also not very interested in writing romance, so if you think you might see some romance, then you are probably wrong unless it's only a slight hint at romance or a slow romance very far into the story. Lastly, know that I don't like long-winding antagonists that get on everyone's nerves and last throughout the entire story. And I do like plot twists, so if you are predicting something that you think is going to happen later on that you dislike, (particularly around the middle to end of book two) then it likely won't happen.

Re:Mento Mori
When Ryuji, a disgruntled salaryman, is supposed to reach an unfortunate end, he is instead thrust into a new world, inhabiting a body that isn't his own. Forced into a world filled with strife and death, can he claim freedom and happiness? Or will his turbulent new life only lead to suffering and pain? As with every time-loop story written by an amateur author, this is heavily inspired by Re:Zero. If I had to explain my book, I would say imagine Re:Zero, but the main character can actually fight people instead of just getting merked every time he meets someone with a weapon. The themes of this story are dark, so be forewarned. This is my first story so keep that in mind while reading it.

In Pursuit of Bark's Finest
On the frontiers of transhumanity’s expansion into the galaxy thousands of light years from the light of Sol, things can get rather chaotic. There are countless millions of nascent interstellar nations securing their interests, pirate ships prospering off plunder and deniable mercenary work, dissidents setting up their own civilizations, and other groups all trying to push an agenda. When these groups crash into each other, the results can become extremely messy and convoluted. Recently, a frontier nation calling itself the Red Star Union has found itself at the focal point of one such complication. A freighter under their protection has been sabotaged, hijacked in interstellar space, and robbed of its cargo. This would be bad enough even if all it were carrying was luxury goods, but the freighter Nebula Plow was carrying more than just normal trade goods. Indeed, her cargo of Non-Orientable Wormholes for use in starship power plants was both very expensive and very, very dangerous. Now the Red Star Union has to worry about a pirate crew running around with several extra devices capable of converting matter into antimatter with negligible energy cost. With those, the pirates could be capable of inflicting untold damage if allowed to leverage their ill-gotten gains into a stronger position, a possibility the Union finds completely intolerable. Unfortunately, all that the Red Star Union has to go on for evidence is two names; that of the captain, and that of the ship. The Captain is going by the possible pseudonym of Fuller, while the ship is named Bark’s Finest. And thus the orders came down to the Union’s Bureau of Starforce Intelligence: find more information on these pirates, conclusively identify them, and figure out where exactly they’ve gone to ground so that the fleet can crush them before they get established. Of the many agents that the bureau assigned to this mission, one would happen to play an important role: Field Agent Madeline Zargosty. This is her story. This story is entirely pre-written, and will have one chapter released per week. If you want to read it all ahead of schedule and get access to some premium-exclusive bonus content, the entire book is available for purchase; links to the appropriate storefront pages will be posted at the end of each chapter. This story is also being posted to Scribblehub.

Mass Effect: Instability
Every great once in a while you stumble upon something that changes your world and makes you fall in love with it. For me, that was Mass Effect; but that love affair only existed for the series to break my heart with a lackluster ending. Little did I know, the universe of Mass Effect needed me - and as it turned out, I needed it, too. (SI)(AU)
