《Cold Blood (Completed)》Two- Old Friends

I squirmed on my seat feeling uneasy. It was better when Shea or Cane stared at me. I never felt as much uncomfortable as I am feeling now. Five pairs of eyes were staring at me as if I was unique creation of God.
Somehow I stumbled on my old friends when I reached Alaska. The weather didn't bother me a bit. I knew Grayson was living in Alaska with his huge family. His parents were older than before. His aunt and uncle also changed. Their three children, they were all grown up.
I looked at certain blonde boy who I had crush on back then. He had recognized my easily when I was in the café. His family owned that café and they quickly took me under their wing.
And then I was sitting in the living room of their beautiful house. They asked me how I got to Alaska and I, of course, lied.
Last time I lied I was thrown out of the vampire kingdom. Lies never do any good to me. But I knew telling them truth would only make them laugh at my face.
"Do you like Alaska?" Jane Roberts, Grayson's mother asked.
"Uh... Yeah" That was all I could say.
I honestly have no idea what I'm doing in Alaska. It's like this place was calling me.
Alaska has been in my mind for years. I wanted to visited this place, always.
"How are your parents? Dave?" Drew Roberts, Grayson's father, asked raising his eyebrows.
Dad and mom were alive when Roberts were there. Dave's biological mother that is.
I sighed sadly. "Our parents died in a car crash many years ago." I replied. My memory went back to the happy family we were once. "And Dave is running a small business with his wife." A smile formed on my lips.

"His wife? Dave is married?" Her eyes were gleaming with joy.
"Yeah," I nodded.
And I hope Dave is happy. Leaving Daniel like that was not a good decision from my side but I had to leave. That was the part of bargain with his father. Now I wish I had some sort of closure with him.
"Where's Henry?" I asked changing the subject. I can't disclose many details of my life. Better talk about theirs.
"You mean Harry." A voice said from doorway.
There stood a boy with blue eyes. Something was familiar about him other than the fact that he was Harry, Grayson's cousin. His hairs were dark brown standing in all direction. There was a crooked grin on his pink lips.
I was shocked. The same boy who used to try to flirt with girls and get slapped grew up to be a handsome boy. He was not as handsome as Blood Devil but his face was really eye catching.
"Hello Serenity." He greeted walking inside and flopped down the couch. An air of arrogance surrounded him.
"It's Sera." I corrected him.
"Yeah, Serenity-Sera same thing." He rolled his eyes.
I gave him a scathing look but refrained from saying anything. I didn't want to make a bad impression of myself on his family. I needed them.
He only smirked at me challenging me to say something.
I clenched my jaw.
"Harry returned just yesterday." Ariana Roberts started with a smile. "He went to Boston for Middle school studies then Seatle for High school studies. He was in California for college but decided to continue his college studies here in Alaska." She explained.
My eyes went wide. This boy travelled a lot. Couldn't he spend more time in California though?

There was something about him. Something different. Something intriguing. Something dark and brooding. I didn't know it was a good thing or a bad thing. These people were not from pack so I couldn't hear their thoughts.
I have to survive on my instincts here.
"Are you also going to attend the college?" Jane asked.
I gave her a wide eyed look.
"Yeah, I received a letter from one of your friends. He asked me to give this letter to you. Your paperwork for college is sorted out. We will arrange books for you." Drew gave me a letter.
I took it from him. "You knew I was going to come here?" I was confused.
Who is this friend of mine he is talking about?
I opened the envelop and there was a blue paper inside.
"Yeah, Ben Daniels, your friend told us via phone. He mailed us these documents."
My eyes widened at the few words written on it.
Take care of yourself. And don't leave that place. Don't do anything which I won't like. Remember, I'm watching you.
-B.D.
I didn't know who was Ben Daniels but I knew who was B.D. mentioned.
Blood Devil
I bit my lower lip in panic.
"Sera, are you okay?" Grayson asked placing a hand in my shoulder. "You look pale."
"Yeah, I'm okay." I kept my voice calm and looked down at the sheet of paper. "It's only jet lag."
"Oh sweetie, you are tired. Let me show you your room." Ariana told me.
I nodded and followed her as she told me about the house. But I was hardly listening her.
Blood Devil knew where I was. He even enrolled me in a college. Was he going to kill me after educating me? But why would he put me in this family. If he wanted to kill me, he would do it very easily.
Does he like to play cat and mouse with his victims?
I shivered at the thought.
Ariana helped me on the bed and told me my whole stuff was already placed in the room. The stuff Boris Daniels sent for me.
My breath hitched in my throat.
I feared Blood Devil. I really fear him. He made me a vampire. He is the owner of my new life. And he can take it away from me.
"You think too much. I'm not going to kill you anytime soon. Relax and sleep. This place is your home now and you are not leaving it." A smooth voice said in my head.
My eyes dropped and I felt myself drifting into darkness.
My life can never we normal. I jump from one problem and land into another.
I have to brace this new life in Alaska.

Exponential Mana Regeneration
When the Change occurred, humanity suddenly found itself with superhuman constitutions and the ability to use mana. All the government leaders had known about it beforehand and had made an announcement, so there was little strife and instead excitement to loot the dungeons that the Change had created. Kyle Anders was incredibly excited when he saw his starting skill, called Exponential Mana Regeneration, but his excitement quickly waned when he realized it was almost useless with his starting mana pool of twenty. He had nearly given up hope on being a mage when his family got him a new skill for his 18th birthday. Suddenly, with his mana pool expanded because of the skill, Kyle’s mana regeneration shot through the roof. But while humanity worked hard to loot dungeons and increase their skills and stats, Change was coming, and peace cannot last forever. The story is currently on haitus. (This story is a work in progress. As the first story that I have ever written, the beginning, especially the first ten chapters or so, needs heavy editing. I have decided to continue writing the story instead of going back and editing the beginning. I hope that despite all its flaws you will still find my story enjoyable.)

The Girl from the Mountain
Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!

Warning: mature content. This volume shifts from the shounen / shoujo category to seinen / josei, and most definitely not in a nice way. THIS IS A COMPLETED STORY AND THERE WILL BE NO SEQUEL ANY TIME SOON.In this story Elizabeth Swan is the older sister of Bella Swan. Bella hates Beth for being older than her and her not being the only child. She especially hates her when she grows close with the Cullen family. You should also now that I made this cringy and like other stories because that seems to be what everyone likes. Some of it will be cheesy and other parts will be extra dramatic but its intentional. Bella is not with Edward in this story. None of the Cullens are together they only consider eachother siblings. Esme is not in this story and I am so sorry, I love her but with how im doing it I don't know if I could fit her in correctly. In this story the Cullens are a coven that was blessed with having only one mate that they must share with eachother. THIS IS A BELLA BASHING STORY. It is based in 2020 and ALL the Cullens are seniors. Well except Carlisle. The coronavirus is not a thing. Bella will be VERY out of character, go with it.There will be some cursing and smut with warnings when it will happenI do not own twilight or its plot I only own Elizabeth Jo Swan and the plot I created. This will not follow the timeline or the plot completely so bare with me.
