W O R D C O U N T:

Here in this chapter, you will find the main male protagonist of my upcoming mafia story. Can you guess the name after reading? ♥

"Why is he even calling us? A party or something?" I gazed at Humza while he drove the car. "No. It'll be just us and his family. Ahmed is like an elder brother but he is far more dangerous than me. He wants to meet you and he might even be a little pissed off at me for lying but he'll be fine eventually." He assured me, his eyes still peered at the road.

"Okay. Who are there in his family?" I asked while adjusting my hair for the nth time. "Stop doing that Anaabiya. You already look beautiful." He groaned.

"You think so?" I asked anxiously. "I know so. I am not blind. Just stay beside me all the time there. Okay?" He looked at me with anticipation .

"Okay." I agreed and he again averted his gaze back to the road. The house was far so it took time for us to reach it. It was the same palace like house we had been in when Humza was wounded.

The whole area was surrounded by gunmen. Humza parked the car inside and opened the door for me too. Nobody ever did that for me. I stared at him lovingly unable to take my eyes off him. "Do I get to kiss you now?" He looked at me expectantly.

"Ummm... No." I replied and he groaned audibly. "C'mmon now my patience level is draining." He complained as we walked towards the main entrance only to be greeted by Shahzil.

"Hello beautiful." He smirked while extending his hand towards me for a handshake. I couldn't help but blush slightly. He was handsome, don't blame me. I would have shook hands with him but before I could, Humza took it. "Hello brother." Humza seethed.

Shahzil just laughed it off. Humza didn't leave his hand and he walked inside the foyer while holding his hand as well. I walked behind him trying to suppress my laughter.

"Ahmed bhai had been waiting for you." Shahzil spoke. He let us towards the black and red L shaped furniture.

"Just wait here while I call everybody." He disappeared through one of the doors, leaving us alone.

Humza was sitting beside me. "Huh! Someone is very jealous. I am going to have fun tonight." I mocked and He glared at me.

"Don't even try doing that or you know I can make you even more jealous." He warned.

"Whom would I be jealous of? Is it Ahmed? Oh well last time I checked you were straight." I couldn't help but laugh at my own joke. Ahmed's wife was dead long ago. He just has a son and 2 siblings. None of them were a threat.

"Huh! You know nothing woman." This time he had a devilish smirk accross his lips. It was really a wicked one that made me wonder if I forgot some minor details on Ahmed's family members.

I thought for a second before my thoughts got interrupted by someone's presence.

"Humzaa. Oh my god you are finally here." I turned my head around so fast that I thought I might have had a whiplash. I glared at the gorgeously beautiful Hazel as she was dressed at her best.

What the hell was she doing here?

I turned around to glare at Humza but he was already sniggering like an idiot. He didn't even turn around to look at her. He was just enjoying the look on my face.

I mouthed a 'Don't' to him.

"Oh hey Hazel. How have you been?" Humza asked lovingly as if he had been missing her so much. He raised himself up and walked towards her while I felt my blood boiling. Great!

He shook hands with her even though she tried to hug him. I was grateful he didn't hug her or else all hell would break lose.

"Hazel this is Anaabiya and Anaabiya this is Ahmed's sister, Hazel." Awesome, I forgot to ask him about the sibling part.

I forcefully smiled at her while she mirrored my guise. "I am so happy to see my old humza back." My? Excuse me miss but the last time I checked he was mine.

I was fuming and the only thing Humza could do was titter like an idiot.

Oh! He has no idea who he has messed up with. Where the hell was this Shahzil anyway?

I looked away and as if on cue Shahzil came down along with his elder brother Ahmed. "Assalamo alaikum." Ahmed spoke as he neared Humza.

I looked at Humza to find his jaw now set in as straight line. "Walaikum assalam." He ambled forward and shared a manly hug with Ahmed.

"And she must be your beautiful wife." He pointed at me and Humza nodded his head. "Assalam o alaikum." I greeted. Ahmed had a powerful and dangerous aura around him. Anyone would easily be intimidated by him.

"Walaikum assalam.. Walaikum assalam." He smiled genuinely. "Ahmed I am really sorry because I had to lie but it was for her safety." Humza explained.

"Oh that's no problem at all. At first I was really angry but then I could easily relate. Although you should have informed me. I would only have provided you with tighter security." Ahmed patted on Humza's shoulder and they walked towards the furniture.

For about 15 minutes I sat awkwardly beside Humza listening to their boring talks about who killed whom and their 'Business' of course.

Hazel was sitting on Humza's other side and that was the only thing keeping me awake at the moment. Humza wasn't even looking at me. Hazel was also taking part in their conversation where as I didn't know a thing. I was the only person who kept on looking at everybody's face as they spoke.

"You are bored. Aren't you?" I heard Shahzil's voice from accross my seat. He got up and sat on the furniture next to mine. "No I am not. It's just that I don't know about these stuffs." I smiled sheepishly.

"Do you want to meet Zaamin?" He asked me. "Who's Zaamin?"

I asked quizzically.

"Well he's Ahmed's son. He is sleeping upstairs. Ummm.. Would you like to come with me to his room? You will love him." I wanted to meet the kid but I didn't want to leave Humza alone with Hazel. Well technically he wasn't alone since Ahmed was here too but..

"Hello? Are you coming or not?" He asked again snapping his fingers infront of my eyes. "Ummm..Actually I would.." I began to look around awkwardly trying to think of an excuse that would save me but my eyes met Humza's, only to find him glaring at me. The look in his eyes was a straight warning.

"I would loveee to go with you." I said almost immediately and smirked at him. I turned my gaze back to Shahzil to find his face lit up like a child.

"Anaa... Biya don't." Humza whisper yelled beside me but I got up and walked along with Shahzil towards the stairs. We then walked all the way to the first floor. I saw a familiar corridor and an unfamiliar room. I followed him in. There was a small cradle and a woman was sitting beside it. The whole room was entact with toys that the baby won't even be able to use. The lady was dressed up in a sort of uniform.

"Is he asleep?" Shahzil asked her. "No sir. Master is awake." She replied politely. I peeked into the cradle to find the most cutest baby I had ever seen.

His blue eyes were shimmering as his full lips were slightly wet from the drool. He was playing with a car. I think he was 1 year old. He had golden brown hair and he was a healthy baby.

"Masha allah. He is sooo...." I began. "Beautiful?" Shahzil answered it for me.

"Yes." I couldn't move my eyes away from the little boy. "Zaamin! C'mmon here kid. Look who has come here to meet you." Shahzil took him in his arms and I couldn't help but pull his cheeks. He was so cute.

"Do you mind if I.. Uhh."

"No. Not at all. Here! Take him." I took him in my arms and I felt extremely overwhelmed. He peered at me through his button like baby blue eyes. I wish I had a baby too. Heat rushed to my cheeks as I thought of having a baby. Does Humza even like babies?

"Can we take him down?" I asked him hurriedly. I wanted to show him to Humza.

"Sure."

Shahzil and I walked down. Zaamin was still in my arms, nuzzling his head in the crook of my neck. It was ticklish too. As we entered the foyer, Humza's eyes at once shot up to mine. Relief flashed in those eyes but it was instantly taken over by rage.

I walked towards the furniture. "I love your son. He is really very adorable." I spoke to Ahmed and he smiled.

"Yes he is exactly like his mother. His eyes, nose and hair remind me of her. She was a beautiful lady." Ahmed said thoughtfully. Sadness flickered in his eyes but it was gone soon.

"Humza. Would you like to hold him?" I looked at him and he hesitated a bit. "I can try." He answered.

"Hey I'll help you." Hazel spoke from beside him and I rolled my eyes. He got up and advanced towards me. He took Zaamin in his arms awkwardly. "Damn! How do you hold this thing?" He asked nervously. I laughed at him because I found it really adorable. "It isn't a thing Humza. He is a baby and its easy... You just.." I couldn't continue since Miss iknoweverything decided to interfere in between.

"Just hold his head...Here and here this hand should be right here... Now you're good." she placed his hand perfectly around the baby. "He is amazing." Humza spoke after a while.

"Sir dinner is ready." One of the maids informed us.

"Well now we should be going. I am hungry." Ahmed answered. He took Zaamin from Humza's arms and gave him to one of the maid's.

"Isn't he cute?" I heard Hazel ask.

"He is indeed." Humza spoke as his eyes still stared at the little boy until he totally disappeared.

Humza didn't even look at me and now I was beyond paranoid. He was talking to Hazel again.

We went to this dining table which had almost 22 seats. I Was greated by the tantalizing aroma of food but I didn't have the appetite to eat. I sat beside Humza and Hazel sat on his other side again. This time Shahzil didn't sit beside me.

Great! He kept on talking to her, not glancing at me even once.

"Ahem!" I cleared my throat as the maids served us food. Humza still didn't pay any heed to my existence. "Humza." I called his name and this time he did turn to my side. "Yes." He wasn't smiling like he was when he was talking to her.

"Zaamin is really cute. Isn't he?" I asked sheepishly. "Yes he is. Hazel already asked me the same thing." He answered. "I am so happy you liked him." Hazel spoke in between for the nth time and he began to talk to her again.

He even spoke to Ahmed but he never spoke to me. I was getting frustrated by every passing minute. I couldn't even eat properly.

"I'll just be back in a while." Ahmed excused himself and I watched his retreating back.

"Humza." I whispered but he didn't hear me. "Humzaaa." again, no answer.

The next thing I did was quite amusing to me too. I placed my hands on his thigh, rubbing it gently. "Whattttt are you doing?" He shifted uncomfortably almost choking on his food.

"I was just wondering if we could get back home now." I squeezed his inner thigh almost close to his groin.

He sucked in a sharp breathe. "You want to kill me right?" He laughed sheepishly.

"No. I don't. I really want to go back home. We have things to do. Things you asked for. I hope you know what I mean." I couldn't believe that I had it in me. He stared at me as if contemplating whether or not to believe me.

"Don't you want to go back too?" I asked him innocently blinking my eyes a couple of times.

"Ahem ahem!" He cleared his throat. Wasn't he aware that everybody was already looking at him. "I am done with the food. It's late now. I think we should be going." I was literally dancing in my mind. Gotcha Mr mafia!

"But it's not even 10" Hazel groaned. "We have to travel back and it might take time." He said. "What might take time?" Ahmed came back again.

"I was just saying that we have to leave. It takes a while to go back." Humza explained.

"Oh well it's fine. It's already late and I can understand but take the shortcut. You'll reach faster and don't worry about the traitor. I'll help in every way I can." Ahmed provided.

He then explained to him the short way back home. We said our good bye's and headed back home.

He was in a happy mood throughout our way back. I was still quite and answered him politely every time he asked me a question. I even smiled at him when he said something seductive. That was until we reached home. It was because I feared that if he would come to know that I tricked him, he might just drive back to Ahmed's. That was no way acceptable to me.

We reached home and the moment he parked the car outside, I splintered back to my room in a hurry and felt his heavy foot steps behind me. "Anaabiya wait!" He shouted.

But I was too angry to listen. How dare he flirt with her? I reached my room and was about to shut the door before he could enter but he was as fast as the flash. He stopped it with his hand and began to push it back. "What the hell is wrong with you? I came back because of you and now you are pushing me away." He snarled from behind the door. I put my every weight and energy to it and began pushing it close while he tried pushing it open. "Well you don't need me. You were soooo happy with Hazel. Go enjoy with her." I spat back pushing harder because damn! He was too strong.

"You guys are kidding me. What are you both? 5 years old?" I heard Nabiha's voice from outside.

"Nabiha move him away." I shouted hoping she would help.

"Sorry I am not being a part of this. You both need to grow up." I think she yawned even though I couldn't see her. She is no good of a sister. Humza gave it a hard jerk and guess who almost fell?

The clumsy me.

He took an advantage of it while I steadied myself. He got in and locked the door behind him.

"You are one crazy woman." He seethed pointing his finger at me. "Go away." I shouted.

"What happened to you suddenly?" He looked at me quizzically.

"Suddenly? Huh! You didn't even look at me there. You were so busy with Hazel." I glared while removing my hijab and throwing it on the bed.

"Really? You were the one who was flirting with Shahzil." He accused.

"You did it first. You were laughing with Hazel."

"No you did it first. You were blushing when he called you beautiful."

"You.. You... You Shook hands with her."

"Huh! You went with him to a room. I didn't go anywhere."

"You were jealous?" I smirked.

"So what? You were too." He spat back.

"I can't believe you stood me up. I came back because of you. Now I want my kiss." He sprinted towards me in fury while I backed away.

"I won't kiss you. No matter what. You don't deserve to be kissed." He ceased his footsteps and gave me deadly glare. I know I was probably saying the stupidest things in the world but hey I was angry!! I get a concession here.

"So you won't let me kiss you?" He seethed.

"No." I said it clearly as I moved further away.

"You sure?" He asked again, his anger quite evident now.

"Yes." I replied hesitantly, my resolve slowly cracking.

"Fine now don't blame me." He spat before taking long strides towards me. I moved back as he advanced. Before I could process things, he already shoved me back to the wall, towering my petite form and capturing my lips with his in a searing kiss.
