"Yeah, I was there.. I mean, we were there, I was with Sahra.. What do you mean? I don't know about you but she is my sister.. Why?.. Okay, I will come over today.." Aneel said while ending the phone. He looked tense after the call. I went over to him and brushed his hair with my fingers.

"What's wrong?" I asked quietly. He just shrugged his shoulders.

"Mum was just being mum" he said. I nodded, understanding a bit what he meant. I didn't think Aneel would say something else so I just kept quiet.

"You know, they don't want me to talk to Rabia. They didn't accept her the moment she divorced Yahya. Just because they had a fight they think they can stop me from talking to her. She is my sister. How can I stop talking to her?!" he said looking away. I guess he was talking more to himself than to me. My thoughts went to Yassir. He didn't want anything to do with me.

"And then she said that dad needed to talk something important with me. So I am going there today, you coming too?" he asked me. I thought for a second and nodded. I mean, they were stil my in-laws. I had to visit them, even though I didn't want to.

"Sahra, I am going inside with my dad, you can hang around" Aneel said and I nodded. We were at his parents' house and his mother wasn't home. I thought about looking around the house when I went into a room. Aneel's scent hit me immediately. I looked around. I think it was his room before marrying me. I walked further into the room and looked at the mirror. There was a picture of Aneel when he was little. He had boxgloves on and his green eyes just looked so cute. I smiled and grabbed the picture, putting it in my pocket. I looked around for more but didn't find anything else. I went out the room to the kitchen, making some tea for the men. Then I thought about making some dinner for us all, it seems that we were staying anyways. So I started to make some chicken with rice. I had a hard time finding everything but I managed it.

When I was cutting cucumber for the salad, I felt a pair of arms going around my waist. I didn't need to turn to look at who it was. I already felt it was my big lion. He put his head on my shoulder.

"What's up" he said lazily. I just grabbed a slice of cucumber and went to his mouth. He immediately opened his mouth. I swear this guy eats like a bear, it was not normal. Just before putting the slice of cucumber in his mouth I teased him. I didn't put it and he just tried to grab it. I was laughing out loud and he grabbed it with his mouth, kissing my cheek right after that.

"You talked?" I asked him. He groaned before putting his head in my neck.

"..yeah" he said absentmindedly. I didn't really mind though, I mean, I liked it when he just touched me randomly. I felt safe and.. I didn't know how I could put it into words.

"I'll tell you later, at home" he said and let go off me. I immediately felt cold.

I placed some plates on the dinner table when my father-in-law came to the dining room. I nodded my head at him and lowered my gaze out of respect. Aneel was somewhere in the house. My father-in-law came over to me and patted my hair.

"Thank you" he said. I looked up at him confused. Why did he thank me?

"..for?" I asked quietly, still unsure of what he was going to say.

"After Maryam, he was lost. But you helped him. He seems happier. Thank you" he said. My eyes widened. That was not something I expected.

"Oh no, I didn't do anything I-" I was interrupted by someone coming to the dining room. I looked over and saw Aneel. I cleared my throat and he just sat down, not knowing what had happened. I went back to the kitchen to get the food and served it when I got back.

"Where is mum?" Aneel asked his dad. That was something I wanted to ask too.

"She was going to make it for dinner, but couldn't. She is by your aunt Saliha" he said.

"How many siblings do you have?" I asked my father-in-law. Aneel looked at me weirdly. I didn't know why. I mean, did I ask something inappropriate?

"Well, I have two brothers Mahmud and Yakup, and a sister Saliha. They are living in Turkey, except for Saliha. She got married here" he said. He looked really happy talking about his family, so I decided to ask more questions.

"So you are actually from Turkey. That's really cool! I-I mean that's really nice. I have been there once and it was really beautiful" I said happily. Aneel looked at me with wide eyes. Then it hit me. It was going to the topic Rabia, and he didn't want that. I got the message and kept silent after that.

"Yes, you saw my daughter Rabia? And my grandchildren? They were nice, weren't they? Its really hurtful to see your family living far away. I mean, all my brothers are there and I only have my sister here. Not to mention that one of my children is there too, all alone. But everything happens for a reason. I trust Allah" he said and both Aneel and my eyes widened. I thought that he had a fight with her? I looked over at Aneel and he shook his head saying 'what the hell?'. That was really weird. But you know, no matter what, they still care for their children. I've never went through something like that, but I could see it now. This man loves his daughter unconditionally. No matter what.

"So, what did you talk with your dad?" I asked Aneel when we got home. He was sitting on the balcony with a cigarette in his hand. I snatched it away and throw it off the balcony. He just frowned but didn't say anything.

"I need to go to Turkey" he said looking away.

"What? Why?" I asked him. I mean, what could be so important to go to Turkey?

"You know, I was actually going to take over the business six months later. But something happened to the business there and my dad wanted me to handle it to see if I can actually do it plus I have to sort out things about the fire too" he said. Yassir. He did that. He lit the fire. I would never forgive him for that. I didn't care about myself, but there was a child in that house. No one can harm children, no one has the right for that.

"And.. for how long?" I asked quietly. He just sighed.

"Two weeks" he said.

"I'll come with you" I said surely. He shook his head.

"No, you have to stay here. It's a really dangerous country if you don't have someone with you. And I will be out all day. I will ask Hamza if his wife can stay with you, so you won't be alone" he said. Who? What if she won't like me. I tensed a bit and Aneel saw that. He came over to me and hugged

me

"It's going to be okay, just two weeks babe" he said. Easy to be sa- babe? BABE?! This boy would be the death of me. I loosened my arms to look at his face. He had this intense look when he was looking at me. It made me want to kiss his nose, and that was also what I did. He just smirked.

"What is it with you and kissing my nose?" he said, this time kissing my nose. I just giggled and he rolled his eyes.

"You are just too cute. I stole this very cute picture of you when you were little. The one that hung on your mirror" I said pinching his cheeks. I then grabbed his cheeks and just played with them. He groaned again and I let go.

"You are such a kid" he said shaking his head and I giggled before he let go of me and I went to shower.

"Come on Sahra, it's only for two weeks" he said but I didn't let go. You know how long that is?! I had my arms wrapped around Aneel's neck.

"Look, you are going through a lot right now and I'm sorry that I can't be there wih you but I really need to go now" he said and I loosened my arms.

"Hamza's wife will be here soon too" he said and I just sighed. He said goodbye before he went out of the house. I felt really bad because I knew what was waiting me so I opened the door immediately. Aneel turned around and saw me and opened his arms after rolling his eyes. I ran up to him and wrapped my arms around his neck. He just laughed a bit and, I swear, it was the best sound I'd ever heard.

"You are really crazy" he said and smiled. After a while he let go off me and I looked away.

"Go before I am going to hug you again" I said and he smirked. We said goodbye, again, and he watched me going into the house. Then I watched him go from the window. When he was out of view, I sighed. I turned around and saw the house. It really needed cleaning before Hamza's wife came.

After I was done, I went over to the couch and just let myself fall on it. I was too tired and was about to close my eyes when I heard the doorbell. I went over and opened the door, seeing a woman standing there, smiling at me She was dressed in a black abaya and she had a black scarf around her head. She was really beautiful.

"Salaam, I am Masara. You are Sahra, right? Nice to meet you!" She said and came over and hugged me.
