《HER BLIND HUSBAND ( A Wattpad Featured Story)》CHAPTER SIXTY ONE

"...He didn't even know it, that for me, he was worthy of over a million second chances..."- Yumnah Saeed.

Full cheesiness up ahead...

To say that Yumnah was overly emotional on entering her and Yasir's room would be one complete understatement. Tears stained her eyes and a few even trickled down her face as she looked around their room events from that particular day freshly replaying at the back of her mind. She took in a deep breath feeling deeply overwhelmed with everything but then faintly smiled when she felt her husband tightly hug her from behind, his chin gently resting on her shoulder.

"Yumnah," he whispered, pulling her even closer to his chest knowing very well that she was reliving everything and what really hurt him was the fact that he knew that it was all solely because of him.

"I am really very sorry Yumnah," he said wishing he could just go back in time and fix everything.

Fix everything just for her.

To begin with, he would have been extremely careful of his choice of words with her. Secondly, he would have tried to be as gentle as possible with her, just the way she deserved it. He would have done so many things differently but he now couldn't and that is how life simply was.

It just could not be rewound.

Mistakes were bound to happen and that was what life was all about. It was all about second chances. Something that his wife had easily granted him and because of that second chance he now had her back in his arms, right where she belonged and now he planned on setting things right but most of all, he planned on having Yumnah Saeed fall for him, over and over again.

"Yasir please stop apologising already," she whispered, breaking him out of his thoughts and as she turned around to face him, she couldn't stop herself from smiling out of shyness when he once again tightly wrapped his arms around her waist.

"No Yumnah, I know that as much as you have forgiven me, I also know how hard it is to forget," he said and sighed when he felt her cup his cheek.

"So just because you think that I cannot forget, you plan on apologising your entire life?"

"If I have to, then yes."

"Yasir..."

"I know it's hard for you Yumnah. Even at this very moment, I know that you are thinking of all that happened. Every single time you enter this room, I know that you will not be able to stop those horrible memories. I really hurt you that day Yumnah but Wallah I never..."

"Yasir?" she asked cutting him short and lovingly rubbing her thumb over his cheek.

"Yes, Yumnah?"

"Just because of one bad memory, do you want me to forget all the other beautiful memories I have had in this room?"

"What?" he asked, genuinely confused.

"Well, from today onwards In Sha Allah every time I tend to remember what happened, I will instead choose to remember the million times I have beat your miserable self to the bathroom every morning at Fajr time," she said while grinning and Yasir too could not stop himself from smiling.

"Oh please, you mean that one time when I actually let you win on purpose?"

"Nope, I mean the gazillion times I beat you to it. You loser."

"Well just know that I have been practising while you were away. My record currently holds at 2.11 seconds. Try beat if you can!"

"Oh, so that was the real reason behind why you sent me away?" Yumnah asked jokingly and Yasir immediately threw his head back roaring in laughter.

"Yes that was the plan all along, Habibty," he said while laughing and shaking his head in disbelief.

He then kissed her forehead while still slightly shaking with laughter his arms still tightly wrapped around her waist.

"Has anyone ever told you that you are the best wife out there?" he asked, resting his forehead against hers.

"Yes. So I am told. All the time."

"Really?"

"Yep!"

"By who?"

"By my husband," she said, a huge smile lighting up her face when she saw him smiling back at her.

"Your husband is one really lucky guy."

"Oh yes, that he is and he doesn't even know it."

"Trust me Yumnah, he knows and he promises to forever cherish you for it," he said as he pulled her closer towards him not wanting to let her go.

He then lifted her chin and as much as he was blind and couldn't see her, he knew that she was smiling back at him and he also knew that her eyes must be holding nothing but hope and love. Lots and lots of love. His hand then slowly moved from her chin to the magnetic pin on her hijab and he gently removed letting both the hijab and the pin fall to the floor and soon after her hairband too followed.

"Yumnah?" he asked, as he gently tucked some of her hair behind her ear while the fingers of his other hand gently raked through her long tresses.

"Yes Yasir?" she asked, her face deep red from blushing.

"What are your other favourite and beautiful memories of us?"

"Well, every moment of us together is beautiful Yasir but my most favourite ones are whenever you come back home from work and..."

"What? Why is that a favourite moment? Most of the times I come back so tired," he said, totally confused.

"Exactly. I get bored in the room many at times and whenever you come back, you begin by messing the room with your socks, your coat...so I actually get something useful to do after a full day of basically doing nothing..."

"Excuse me?"

"What?" she asked while grinning from ear to ear.

"Are you talking about me?"

"Yep!"

"Yasir Hosseini and messy?"

"Unless there are two of you out there then yes you."

"Oh just..."

"In fact let me see how much mess you have created while I was away," she said, getting out of his embrace and heading towards their closet.

"You won't even find a single pin out of place," he said quickly bending to feel for the hijab he had thrown to the floor after which he aimlessly began to kick around for the hijab pin hoping it would go kill itself somewhere.

Yumnah laughed at his antics but then upon opening the closet she couldn't help but roll her eyes.

"Who has been arranging your clothes Yasir?" she asked her hands on her hips.

"I have been doing them myself just the same way I have been doing them since I was five," he said proudly while at the same time stressing on FIVE.

"Clearly. You ruined my entire colour code!"

"What is that even?"

"I arrange your clothes according to colours Yasir..."

"I am blind Yumnah and secondly I am sure I have arranged them way better than you usually do...I THINK," he said, standing behind her and once again wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Yasir," she whispered when she felt him push all her hair to one side.

"I missed you so much Yumnah but first tell me, why do you arrange my clothes according to colours? Does it even matter?"

"It does. TO ME."

"Why?" he asked, inquisitively.

"Just because..."

"Why Yumnah?"

"Because I like you wearing certain colours only. These other colours fail to do justice your hazel eyes," she said getting slightly emotional.

"Yumnah..."

"I like it when you wear certain colours Yasir. You look so handsome, you don't even know it and now it's all ruined. Where did you even throw away your white shirts?" she asked, a sob escaping her lips.

"Yumnah, why are you crying, my love?" he asked tightening his arms around her.

"I don't know."

"Well, maybe the white shirts have gone for a wash my dear and Yumnah?" he asked.

"Yes?"

"Does everything for you always have to be about me?"

"Yes but don't get used to it. It will all change once the baby arrives, "she said turning around to hug him and he couldn't help but laugh.

"Is that a threat?"

"Of course it is."

"I am really scared now."

"You better be."

"In Sha Allah, you are going to be one amazing mother Yumnah and I honestly cannot wait to see you in that phase. Well not literally see but...," he said as he took both her hands and brought them to his lips.

He then gently pulled her towards their bed and made her sit down.

"Yumnah," he said as he knelt down before her but then shook his head in disbelief when she immediately blurted out...

"Don't you dare propose to me again Yasir. I don't believe in having two weddings."

"Yumnah seriously...why would I even propose again?" he asked completely confused with her change in moods.

"Yasir..."

"Shhhh. Just listen to me Yumnah. I don't want to propose again. I still mean everything I said during our Nikah nothing has changed my love but rather now, I want you to... I mean I want us to...okay, like as you said, it's only going to be about me until the baby is born I..."

"Yasir, what is it? "she asked cupping his face.

"Yumnah I want us to... I mean I want to...can I..."

"Yasir?"

He sighed not being able to clearly ask for what he wanted. He then dug in to his shirt's pocket and pulled out a tiny card which he shyly handed it to her. He waited until she began to open it and said...

"Yumnah Saeed, can I have the honour of taking you to our honeymoon?"

"Please come with me Yumnah and let us go get lost together!"
