《HER BLIND HUSBAND ( A Wattpad Featured Story)》CHAPTER FORTY SEVEN

As Yasir made his way to into the living room, he could not help but wonder if 'Hitler' had previously worked as a secret agent or something along those lines before he opened his construction business. Or what if the construction business was just but a facade and in reality 'Hitler' actually did work or was still working for the FBI or something?
Was that even possible?
Or had he installed Cctv cameras in their offices as well as in the mansion? He shuddered just at the thought. The last thing he wanted was to find out that Baba was secretly watching them. That would for sure be the most creepiest thing on earth.
And it had been pretty much obvious that Baba would have come to find out about the transfer of shares but never had he expected it to be so soon. Like what? Hadn't he just signed those documents around an hour ago? Then how did 'Hitler'...
Guess he would never find out.
He took in a deep breath afterwhich he walked into the living room mentally preparing himself for the worst.
"Baba..." he began but was immediately cut short.
"What the hell Yasir? What is this that I am hearing?"
"Baba listen..."
"Why the hell did you do it Yasir?"
"Baba..."
"I cannot believe this nonsense."
"Baba, can I at least say something?" asked Yasir, his voice slightly rising.
"Don't you dare raise your voice at me."
"But..."
"Shut up! Just shut up, okay?"
"Hussein, what is wrong? Why are you shouting at him like that?" asked Yasmin, her voice slightly quivering.
For the thirty years she had been married to Hussein, never had she seen him this furious and seeing this new side of him scared her.
"This son of yours..."
"What did he do?"
Hussein remained silent as he scrutinized his son with murderous eyes.
"Hussein, I asked, what did he do?"
"He gave away part of his inheritance!"
Yasmin immediately let out a gasp while Yumnah just stood still not knowing what was going on.
"What? He gave away his shares? But gave it away to who?"
"Ask him yourself."
"Yasir?"
But Yasir remained silent for a while, his head hung low.
"Yasir my child, aren't you going to answer your Mama?" she asked as she took his hand and squeezed it.
"I gave them to Akhi."
"What? but why?"
"That is what I also want to know. Why the hell did you have to give away your shares and that too without asking me for my permission? The hell why?" shouted Hussein.

"They are my shares Baba."
"Excuse me?"
"Baba, I..."
"Did he just say that they are his shares Yasmin? Is this why I gave each one of them equal shares of MY company so that one day they can stand in front of me and tell me that the shares are theirs?"
"Baba, I did not mean it that way. I am sorry," said Yasir his voice laced with sadness.
What had suddenly happened to their happy family? Why was everyone fighting? Or was he the one with problem? First he had fought with his Akhi, then Yumnah and now Baba. He just couldn't take it anymore.
"Hussein calm down. I am sure he must have had a valid reason as to why. Don't you Yasir?"
"I don't."
And unfortunately for Yasir, it was the damn truth. He still did not know what his Akhi planned to do with his shares.
"I swear I am going to kill this boy," said Hussein as he furiously made his was towards him.
"Hussein, I said calm down!"
"Yasir, so you just gave Hisham your shares without asking him what he wants to do with them?"
"Yes Mama."
"But why?"
"Because he is my Akhi."
"The hell! So if your Akhi asks you to jump of a cliff, you will?"
"Yes I will."
"Don't be stupid Yasir," shouted Hussein his anger rising by the minute.
"He needed the shares Baba. So i gave them to him."
"I need to kill someone. Can you give me that?"
"Hussein!"
"No Yasmin. Today i want to know. Have our sons become so smart that they can now take such big decisions for themselves. And Alhamdullilah, these shares went to Hisham. What if this boy of yours had given the shares to an outsider? My company would be going down the drain right this minute."
"A company I sufferred to build and you very well know that," he shouted once again and Yasmin nodded.
"Yasir, even if he is your Akhi. He has his own shares, why would he need yours. Didn't you ask yourself that?" asked Mama.
"Hisham no longer owns shares at the company!"
"What?" asked Yasir and Yasmin in unison.
"He sold them to me, a few months back. The boy kept going on and on about his self respect and I dont know what other nonsense. He wanted to buy his mansion with the money and I dont know what else."
"But if Hisham has already sold his shares and gotten money in return, then why does he need Yasir's shares as well? Is my child in trouble?" asked Yasmin, worry filling her heart.

"I don't know Yasmin. In fact you know what? Call Hisham. Tell him that I am calling him here right this minute. I want all of this absurdity to end once and for all."
"His phone is switched off Baba."
"What?"
"I tried calling before I came downstairs."
"What the hell is happening in this house?"
By now Yasmin had tears streaming down her face while Yumnah just stood there in shock. Shares? Inheritance? She had never known anything. Yasir had never told her a thing.
But now it all made sense to her, her husband's outburst and all. He had simply been stressed and she had been too ignorant to even notice.
"Then call Khaleel. Ask him if he is with him. Or call Zulekha. I don't know. Just call someone. I just want that boy here as soon as possible."
"Khaleel is not with him. I was the one who was with Khaleel," said Yasir.
"Wait, does Khaleel know about all this?"
"Baba..."
"I asked, does Khaleel know about all this?"
"Yes."
"Wow, isnt it for our very own three musketeers?"
"You know what?"
"What?" asked Yasir confusedly.

Hisham's sad face immediately lit up as soon as he saw Dr. Evans enter the examination room at the hospital.
"Wow, just look at whom we have here? Isn't it for Hisham Hosseini?"
"The one and only," replied Hisham a large grin on his face which was immediately replaced with a frown.
"Wait, noooo, did you just confuse me for another patient?
"Of course not."
"But im not a woman. Doc, what sort of negligence is this?" whispered Hisham and Dr. Evans immediately burst out into laughter.
"Are you sure you did not walk into the gynaecology wing Hisham?"
"I...I...what the...," said Hisham immediately standing up.
"Relax kiddo. This is the casualty wing. I usually get called here whenever the staff here gets overwhelmed."
"Oooh, I swear you almost made me run out through that door."
"But of course."
"No, like Im serious. Pain can do stuff to people you know? Maybe it made me walk into the wrong wing of the hospital."
Dr. Evans chuckled as he expertly put on a pair of gloves afterwich he gently took hold of Hisham's hand to examine it.
"I see that you still love injuring yourself, just like when you were small?" he asked gently turned his hand around.
"Those injuries where different."
"Really? How?"
"Those injuries were part of growing up."
"Aha and what about this one?" he asked amusedly.
"Part of growing old, i guess?"
Dr. Evans shook his head as he tried his best not to burst out in laughter once again.
"So, how did you get hurt?" he asked as he began pulling out pieces of glass from the flesh and Hisham quickly closed his eyes due to pain.
"Just but a small accident at one of our construction sites," he lied.
"Oooh."
"Yeah."
"Isn't my friend Hussein taking good care of his employees?"
"You mean old man Hussein aka Hitler?"
"He is not old."
"Of course he is and so are you. You should have retired by now doc. Like how old are you really?" joked Hisham in a bid take off his mind from the pain he was experiencing.
"We are still young, Hisham."
"Psssht, like you actually helped deliver Yasir and to think he is even married now. Sorry to say doc, but its now time."
"Time for what?"
"Time to like retire but wait don't retire until you help deliver my daugh..." but Dr. Evans quickly cut him short.
"This will pain a bit Hisham. This piece of glass is quite big," he said and Hisham once again closed his eyes due to pain.
"So what were you saying about my boy Yasir?" asked the doctor as he began cleaning the now glass free wound.
"That he got married?"
"Oh yes. Please do aplogise to Hussein. I wasn't able to make it that day."
"Thats okay doc, we got one extra plate of biryani. So its not like we were complaining."
Dr. Evans threw his head back in laughter and Hisham just sat there smiling, though his smile did not quite reach his eyes.
"Thats mean!"
"You deserve it for not coming."
"And how is your wife by the way? How is her pregnancy coming along? Its the fifth month right?
Hisham let out a laugh before he quickly replied...
"Shouldn't I be the one asking you how her pregnancy is doc?"
"What do you mean?"
"You are our gyno right?"
Dr. Evans remained silent for a while as he studied Hisham. Was he joking once again or what?"
"What do you mean by I am your gyno?"
"Aren't you?"
"Well I was but..."
Hisham quickly sat up in shock but them quickly masked it with a blank expression.
"But what doc?"
"But you guys just vanished."
"What do you mean by vanished? Hasn't my wife been coming for the antenatal clinics? She even showed me a couple of supplements that you prescribed for her," said Hisham as he sat up straight.
"Hisham."
"What?"

The Mischievous Mrs. Maxfield
***The wrong girl is sometimes The Right One.*** Charlotte Samuels thought she'd be stuck waiting tables at Marlow's until all her debts are paid off-in about ten thousand years or so. She definitely didn't expect a marriage proposal from the arrogant Brandon Maxfield who was blackmailed by his father to make her his wife if he didn't want his least favorite cousin to run Maxfield Industries. Charlotte's instinct was to say HELL NO! but she's stumped by a few obstacles: 1.) His old man Martin Maxfield is dear to her heart and has been recently deteriorating in health. 2.) She gets a million dollars if she stays married to Brandon for a year. 3.) She would rather like the opportunity to teach the attractive but awfully rude man a few lessons he didn't think he needed from a 'teenage gold-digger' which was his term of endearment for her on their first date-er, business meeting. So what's a girl got to do, right? Sure, she's young and a little rough around the edges but there's something her would-be husband didn't know about her yet-she's nothing like he ever expected. Thrust into the glitzy world a standard-issue Mrs. Maxfield would fit perfectly and rule with impeccable social grace, Charlotte will either have to force herself into the mold or break free of it, risking what little she has left for everything that she can gain.*** Copyright © 2014 by Nina Tippett.
