《Merciful》chapter three

Ali left the press conference, as each reporter and cameraman followed him out, sticking their microphones and cameras towards him as they yelled questions about his business, love life, and wealth.
John had shielded him until he was safely inside the car and began to drive instantly as it was time for Ali's meeting.
"I have a missed call from your father," John informed.
"Ignore it, I will visit him after work," Ali said, laying back into the luxurious beige leather seats.
"I will be taking you back to your office, so you can attend your last meeting at 7:30 P.M," John notified.
"Okay,"
The car ride was noiseless and tiresome, as they drove a few minutes away back to their corporate office.
As soon as they arrived, before some guard rushed to open his door, Ali took a glance at the eight-floor building that belonged to him, because these were the only things that made him feel the smallest bit of fulfillment.
One of the security guards opened his door, as he stepped out in a neat fashion. Many eyes stopped to look at him, several not knowing who he was but recognizing he was powerful by the way he moved and looked.
Walking inside the building, he took the elevator to the eighth floor- where his office was.
His office held a glamorous view of the city's tallest buildings, along with a clear view of the magnificent sky. It was a view that screamed extravagance.
He took a seat on his chair and opened the file on his desk, reading through it as he signed where his signatures were required.
The phone by his desktop began to ring, as he put it on speaker.
"What?" He said.
"Sir, COO Aryan Paul is here to see you," His assistant said.
"Send him in."
"Welcome back!" Aryan said strutting in.
"The buy-out is such great press, your announcement is trending at number one on Apple news." He informed.
"Plus, you're viral on Twitter again for being 'hot'," He added, cringing physically to tease Ali.
"We have a meeting in 30 minutes, are you prepared?" Ali asked getting up and walking over to lean on the table.
"Hell yeah, I am." He said.
Aryan was the Chief Operating Officer, he and Ali had become pals in their freshmen year of college, he also helped Ali build A Plus.
Of course, a friendship that long had unveiled all secrets. Aryan was the only man outside of the Sheikh link who knew that Ali was a criminal.
The reason that Ali decided to buy Well&Well took place a month ago. At a fundraising gala they attended, one of the directors decided to make arrogant remarks towards Ali saying that "Well&Well can eat A Plus Corps. in a split second."

Well, Ali had to show him who he had provoked so that same night, he had called and made an offer to the CEO himself- to only find out he'd be buying the whole corporation the next morning.
So now, in the next few minutes, he'd be firing the same man who had challenged him- just for kicks.
"Let's go," Ali said, walking out.
They arrived at the conference room, with the entire board of directors of W&W sitting there- quite apprehensively. Some of the directors had managed to find a new job, and investments to put themselves up to, but fortunately not the one-man Ali scorned.
"Good Afternoon, everyone. A warm welcome to the headquarters of A plus Corporations- where some of you will now be working. On today's agenda, we'll be discussing who Mr. Sheikh and I have decided will be a good fit for the company and where you will go. "
Aryan introduced and sat down giving the floor to Ali.
"Now this meeting shouldn't last longer than a couple of minutes, the folders in front of you are the jobs that we are offering you along with their descriptions. You can take it, or leave it." Ali said, very still and solemnly.
"Manager of Downton Headquarters," One of the men said, quite satisfyingly.
"Director of Operations and Construction." The other said.
Undoubtedly, many of these men had potential which didn't go unseen, because in the end Ali and Aryan both wanted the best for the company.
Ali looked at the familiar white male at the corner of the table, who looked at his folder with his jaw clenched.
"Robert, why don't you tell us yours," Ali said.
He looked back at Ali with anger in his eyes, you could see his face turn pink and his ears burn red.
"Janitor of the first floor?" The man sitting next to him read out loud.
Ali smirked and laid back in his chair.
Robert stood up abruptly and walked towards the door, but then stopped and pointed at Ali.
"I will never forget this Ali, I will come for you." He said.
"When you attempt to, remember what happened the last time you came for me," Ali said, looking at his watch as he talked.
The man slammed the door as he stomped out angrily.
"That'd be all, good day," Ali said.
All of the men got up and left one by one, leaving the room to the two.
"Now that's victory," Aryan said.
"This calls for a celebration. Let's hit the bar at say, 11? " He added.
"Absolutely," Ali answered.
"Awesome! see you there," Aryan said leaving.

Ali had yet to go meet his father, so he left the room as well and went back to his office, to personally lock his belongings. As he walked, he called John and told him to prepare the car.
He quickly made his trip about and went down seeing John waiting for him.
"To your fathers?" He asked.
"Yes,"
They drove around an hour away from the city. As the presence of people lessened and lessened. He spotted his father's mansion with his eyes, in the middle of the trees, and right by the lake.
Ali got out and went inside, straight to his father's office.
He knocked on the door, and heard a snippy "come in".
"Hello Father," He said.
Immediately recognizing the voice, his father's turned to him in anger.
"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?" His father exclaimed.
Ali did not reply and just waited for his father to get to the point.
"I have been calling you over and over, but no! You're just so fucking into that bullshit utility job of yours, you never seem to care." He tried to yell, but his fit of coughs had prevented him.
"Do you even know what the fuck has been going on? Abdul Qadeer is back. That motherfucker ceased our sales by a whole four percent, and you let it happen right in front of your eyes!" He shouted, getting up from his chair.
"Is this why I made you the boss?!" He added.
Abdul Qadeer?
Ali froze. Abdul was his father's nemesis for as long as he could remember. He almost made them go bankrupt a few years back. The thing Ali's father wanted desperately for the past years, was Qadeer's death.
"I will get him, sir. This will be the year Abdul Qadeer is finished." Ali said, clenching his jaw afterward.
"You better," His father, said sitting back and breathing hard.
Ali left his father's office shortly and called John yet again.
"I need an emergency meeting arranged right now. Make sure every leader of every organization is there." He spoke.
John promptly knew, which meeting was being called for and replied with a curt "yes", before immediately alerting everyone of the meeting, he watched Ali stomp out of the front door and unlocked the car for him.
"Let's go," Ali said.
John drove him back to the central quarters, where the meeting would be taking place.
Ali's thoughts ran wild of fury and desperation. He wanted this rascal named Abdul so badly. Not only had that man messed with his father, but now he had messed with Ali too.
If he could get Abdul's dead body to his father- it'd be the biggest triumph of his life. Ali's skin crawled of hatred, and his mind was blurred from the thoughts of violence.
"I need to get this man," He thought.
A while later, the car had come to a halt. Ali yanked the door open and rushed inside the convention room, which was full of the people he had wanted to see.
"I have one announcement only. Abdul Qadeer." Ali began, wasting not a second and getting to the point.
"I want each and every one of you and your workers to find this guy. Any connection to him, any sign of him should be reported directly to me. No matter who dies, and who gets hurt. I want this man. Dead or alive. And until this man is beneath my feet, no one will be getting paid." Ali stated.
The mob broke into small gasps and obvious displeasure.
"You can't do that-" One man began
Ali pulled out his gun aiming at him.
"I said what I said. Now get to work." He pointed to the exit with his gun.
Ali took a deep breath and took a look at his watch which read 10 sharp.
He headed back to his car, and to the club, where he assured Aryan he'd be at.
Alcohol. That was exactly what he needed Ali thought. To pause his endless racing thoughts of rage.
So as soon as he stepped foot in the bar, he grabbed a bartender and ordered a scotch-neat before heading into his private room.
On his way in, a sexy tan girl in a skin-tight neon dress stopped him, putting both her hands on his shoulders. He hesitated and grabbed her arm tightly to dismiss her, but then stopped.
'Why don't we head in together babe?" She said.
Ali shrugged and just took her with him.
He was going to look for a girl to take home after he had a couple of drinks in him, but when the opportunity is in front of you, just take it and go he had thought.
Ali drank more, and afterward, took the girl to a hotel nearby. And for the rest of the night, he used her until he felt content.
Until the sense of pleasure took over his tension.
Until his mind was idle of any thought of destruction and revenge.
Until his soul had felt nothing but hollow.
