《You Who Touched My Life (Completed)》ch 15

I needed some fresh air. It was enough of how much that woman had ruined my mind and soul... I couldn't allow her continuing to torture me anymore.
As I opened the door and got out I heard a loud scream followed by a splash of water. It was Naila. I ran towards the swimming pool.
She wasn't even trying. What was wrong with this girl? It's just a pool not the ocean. Oh God, the ocean....no way....
I jumped in the pool and pulled her out.
"It....it was u." She whispered catching her breath.
".....my savior. It was u....Kaif."
I couldn't deny that hearing that made my heart skip. Does she remember?
She was smiling, her face glowed in the lights with the water droplets sparkling on her face and neck. Her eyes, shone like the starts. Just like that night, but this time, I could see her clearly.
She was shivering. Oh.
I looked around and found a towel on the chair at my arms length. I quickly grabbed it and quickly wrapped it around her making her sit. The servants have made all the arrangements huh.
"Kaif."
My heart skipped again. What the hell?!
"W...what?" Shit why am I stammering?
"Go get changed first. You'll catch a cold and be careful around here. It's a pool, it's all slippery here." I said without looking at her and got up to leave.
"You....d.. didn't an.... answer my question." She was shivering more than talking.
"Just go in already. I can't understand a word your saying anyways." I said and went in.
Clinging to the towel tightly, I managed to get up and went to my room. I really was shivering badly, I needed a hot shower.
My shivering stopped within a minute as the hot water travelled through me. I sighed, this was good.
As I closed my eyes I could remember Kaif's shocked face when I said, 'it was you.' but why didn't he say anything all this time? Was it really him? But I've heard that he'd been in the US for the past 6 years. That incident happened 4 years ago, it couldn't be him.
Then why did it felt soo familiar. I can swear that it was the same touch. I unconsciously touched my lips.
Then that means, he was the one who gave me CPR. Those were his lips.
I shook my head. Anyone would've done the same. He did it to same my life. Don't try to read into it so much. Are in love with that man who saved you?
I gasped at my own thoughts.
Stupid! That can never happen! If it was really Kaif then I can never ever love that rapist who ruined a woman's life. The same woman I saw yesterday with Mom. But why was she there? To meet her friend, to see how she's doing or to check on her rapist, his wife? To check if he's happy or not? But why would she come to the same house where the man who ruined her lives? Wouldn't she be traumatized seeing the man again? She could meet somewhere outside if she really wanted to meet mom.
Stop it Naila. How would you know her pain? She might have been through soo much during the court hearing and investigation itself. Then Mom suddenly asked us to move out.

Is she trying to silently get her revenge because she didn't get justice? And that crooked smile she gave me..... what's up with that woman? I don't understand, if I should feel sorry for her....or be scared of her.

I was near the printer getting printouts. Ugh! The table fan was soo strong that the papers were flying. I tried to turn it off but I had to also catch the papers. What do I do? Ya Allah....this is soo frustrating. I should've turned it off before, what an idiot I am!
"Yo, what some help?" I heard Farhan.
"Yes please.... I'm dying in here." I said desperately grabbing the flying papers.
He turned off the fan first then sat down with me to collect the papers. He even helped me arrange the papers number wise.
"Thanks yaar. You're a life saver." I said.
"Ooo. Am I your yaar now? What will jiju say?" He smirked.
"Shut up. You're still a kid." I hit him and he chuckled.
"Where's the stapler?"
"There..." I pointed.
"There are no pins." He said.
Luckily, I found a packet of pins and refilled the stapler but as I closed the stapler cover, I pressed it too hard and a pin pierced into my thumb.
"Ouch!"
I just got back from the factory with my PA and was walking past the supplies room when I heard a voice. It sounded like Naila.
I glanced in and saw a young man holding her hand. What the hell?!
"You should be more careful yaar." He was scolding her. "Hold on I'll pull it out."
"No it's ok. I can do it. It doesn't hurt."
She insisted.
"Shut up. How could you be soo careless? What are you 12?"
"No...the double." She giggled he laughed a little too. When did she learn to smile like that?
I just stormed inside.
"What's going on in here?"
They both turned to me. I glared at them but they both were still holding hands.
"Oh boss. Hello." He said. "She pricked her finger with a stapler pin." He lifted her hand to show me her blood covered thumb and the pin in his hand that he pulled out.
"She can tell me that herself." I said.
He shrugged slightly and stepped back a little.
"Oh it's bleeding soo much. Didn't you get a band-aid? Hold on. I'll do it." I watched Desai in surprise as he rushed inside to help her leaving my side.
What the heck is going on in here? Is she Donald Trump's daughter? Why is everyone so frantic seeing just a drop of blood? She won't die because of it.
"I... it's ok."
Oh look she's being all humble now. What an innocent damsel in distress! Stupid drama queen.
"It's really ok Mr Arnav."
I was standing right there but none of those 2 cared about it. They were just busy with the drama queen.
###
I was attending an important board meeting but my mind was somewhere else. I really couldn't understand why I was so mad. That woman is really.....she knows exactly how to drive me crazy. She really is a slut isn't she? Attracting men like bees to honey. What's soo interesting about her anyways?

Kaif was going to be late today. So I had to come home alone. On the way I decided to stop by my favorite cake shop as I was craving cake. But I didn't knew my happy detour would turn into a bloody mistake as I came face to face with the 1 person I never wanted to see for the rest of my life. The one person that made me wish I was dead.
My senses numbed as I saw his face
"S... Saim?"
He was equally shocked to see me. But his lips soon twitched into a mocking wicked smirk.
"Hi babe...oh sorry, now you're Mrs Naila Alam. Wife of the CEO of Alam group of companies. What a pleasure to finally get to meet you after all these years." He said.
I swallowed the lump in my throat. I had lost my voice. I managed to somehow walk past him putting my head down but he grabbed my wrist making me jump. My heart was thumping fast enough to make me feel a bit dizzy. I was scared....so scared.
"Are you really going to avoid me finally meeting after soo long? Don't tell me you've forgotten me. Ah well, how can I blame you, it must be difficult for you to remember me out of soo many other before finally catching the big fish, huh?" He chuckled.
I tried to pull free my hand but his grip was getting tighter hurting me. There were enough people around but no one bothered to come help me. They were just busy watching like it was some show.
"Le...l....let go...pl.... please." My voice hardly came out a bit.
"What was that? I couldn't hear you. Should I get closer?" He mocked getting dangerously close to me. I closed my eyes tight moving my head in the opposite direction.
His breath was hitting my face and my eyes teared up.
"Hey, what are you doing? Leave the lady alone." An anonymous voice said.
Saim laughed.
"Lady? This one. Huh" he grabbed my chin harshly all of a sudden making me gasp.
"She's a pretty faced doll. Don't be fooled by her innocent eyes. She's just a slut. I wonder how many men have done that to her....and much more... Right babe."
I was sobbing by now. I was soo scared. I wanted to say something, a lot of things but I couldn't find my voice. I wanted to hit him but I had lost my strength. Ya Allah.... please help me. Do something. Kill me if it takes but let me escape this situation.
"Aww, are you crying now?" He brought his hand to my face but I managed to push it away. He sneered.
"Looks like you got some guts huh."
His grip tighten around my wrist making me whimper.
Just then something happened. As if a typhoon came in and punched Saim across his face releasing his grip from my wrist. I froze shocked at the tall figure towering over me protectively. I dared to look at the face and my eyes widened to find the man was....
Kaif!
He just grabbed my wrist as Saim held his jaw trying get off the floor, but I hissed at the pain. He held my wrist up carefully to examine it. It was red with finger print marks across them which looked prominent on the fair skin.
He scowled at them and met my eyes. I swallowed seeing them blazing with fury but then sighed.
"Let's just go for now."
He held my hand gently and walked towards the door. I just followed him like a lost puppy.
"What the fuck! Who are you to hit me?! I was just telling the truth." Saim roared.
Kaif turned to him angrily.
"I'm her husband and no one dares to talk to my wife like that."
He said and dragged me out with him as I looked at Saim who was fuming with rage.
He took out as the rain started pouring again wetting us and made me sit in his car as I obliged without a word.
"Don't go anywhere without a bodyguard." He said slowly without looking at me. I just kept looking at him.
###
I sat in my bed hugging my knees and crying. The incident kept playing in my head. Why couldn't I say anything, why was I soo scared? Why am I soo pathetic?!
There was a knock at the door. I turned my face to the opposite direction.
"Madam, please have some dinner at least." The maid said.
I shook my head sniffing.
"Should I keep it here?"
I shook my head again. She sighed and closed the door behind her. I cried again.
After a while, the door opened without a knock. I could feel someone looking at me.
"Please, I said I don't want any...." I stopped as the person at the door was Kaif. I wiped my tears looking down.
"It's been over 3 hours. Aren't your tears dry yet?" He mocked me.
I sniffed wiping my tears irritated.
"You already look like a panda now your face also looks like that of a chameleon with those puffy eyes."
I scowled at him.
"Sure you can glare at me like that. Why couldn't you do the same to that jerk?" He asked.
Great, even he thinks I'm pathetic. It made me cry again. Louder.
He groaned. "Allah! This woman!"
He strolled towards me and scooping his hand past my knees lifted my chin so I could face him as he leaned over me.
"Enough now! I didn't risk my life to pull you out of the water that night 4 years ago just so you could drown yourself in tears again." He said.
I gasped....
"I....it was really you?"
