The Deathly Hallows
His feet carried him along the halls quicker than he could cope.
Once Draco was out of everybody's sight, he sprinted down the halls and stone steps. One foot in front of the other, frantically rushing down to get where he needed to be. Adrenaline and anxiety was rushing from his head to his feet. He channelled all this emotion into his movements, not stopping for breath.
His body came to a sudden halt when he reached the Cellar. His chest rising up and down, his head dizzy. Draco hadn't a clue what he was going to say or do, but he knew he could do something. After stealing some seconds for breath, he slowly walked down the narrow staircase.
Ron's ginger hair was rested up against the metal bars on the cellar door as he was slumped in the corner. As soon as he heard Draco's footsteps, his neck nearly broke from turning around too fast.
Ron's face scrunched up in disgust almost immediately. He leapt up from the floor and pushed his face up close to the bars. Draco reached the bottom, and immediately remembered his hatred for this particular Weasley.
"You better be here for a fucking good reason, Malfoy" Ron spat through gritted teeth. Draco simply raised an eyebrow and looked at him up and down.
"I hope you remember where you are, Weasel. Your life is literally in my hands right now-
"I don't give a fuck about me. You're down here when you could be up there helping Hermione!"
"You expect me to help you? The fucking Gryffindor fairies?" Draco chortled. "Give me a break Weasley-
Ron reached out and snatched Draco's collar, pushing him forward against the bars. Ron's breath was hot and angry against Draco's disgusted face.
"I know why you're down here. But remember, your little girlfriend is Harry's blood. What on earth would she think of you murdering her own blood?" Ron hissed, and threw Draco back.

Without a second thought, Draco launched for Ron's neck and throttled him hard. Draco's face was scrunched up in anger, that sickly adrenaline feeling back.
"What the-Draco!" A voice bellowed from behind Ron. Harry rushed over and managed to rip Draco's hand off of Ron, causing the pair to both fall back onto the floor. The pair both stood up again, dusting off the dirt.
"Draco, mate. Come on, not now-
"Shut the fuck up, Potter" Draco tutted.
Y/n slowly gained consciousness. Her eyes fluttered open to see three bodies stood by the cellar doors. They were very faint, so she couldn't make out who they were.
"If you're here to take our wands, the Snatchers already took them" Harry sighed in defeat.
Draco paused. Realising fighting with Ron would achieve nothing, he decided to make the right decision, not the easy one.
"I need to see y/n."
"No. Fuck off" Ron mumbled. Draco daggered his eyes at him.
"And keep her where? Here?" Harry questioned. "Keeping her here wouldn't be safe."
"You really think I would put her in any danger?" Draco asked, loosing his temper. "You really think I would do fucking anything to that girl to make her vunerable?" His face was pushed up against the bars with sweat beading from his forehead. Harry looked almost scared.
"I didn't say that-
"What's going on?"
Ron and Harry turned around to see y/n stood up with her arms folded and a confused look on her face.
"Who are you speaking to?" She asked. The boys all shared a look of panic, before taking a couple of steps back, away from the door. Harry took Ron's wrist and pulled him away, but neither of their eyes left Draco. Hesitantly, Ron stepped away. "Guys, I said who's-"
Y/n slowly walked towards the cellar door and squinted to see who it was.

The dimly lit candle shone on his blonde hair, and that was enough to tell.
Draco stared back. He turned an awful colour, whiter than pale.
It's like neither of them could speak. To him, seeing her was different now. After so long, this was the first time he'd seen her properly since the night at the Astronomy Tower. She felt the same, every inch of her skin had goose bumps.
Interrupting their moment, an ear piercing wail flooded through the Manor. It physically hurt their ears, the scream was an intense painful cry. Ron rushed to his feet and looked up the stairs that led down to the Cellar.
"That's Hermione" Ron breathed. Suddenly his face looked panicked. "Harry we need to help her-
"I know-
"Now Harry!" He shouted, still eyes glued to the top of the stairs. Ron's gaze turned to Draco, who was looking at him with no emotion.
Maybe in that moment, he felt a sense of guilt.
"Let us out of here" Ron whispered with an irritated look. He was desperate to get out.
He stood silent for a moment. Nothing gave him more satisfaction than seeing the weasel in pain.
"In what world do you think I'd help you" Draco asked calmly. Ron turned around slowly to look at y/n, then back to Draco.
"A world with her in."
Draco felt it in his chest. A feeling he could never explain. Something was telling him to do it, to help.
Because of her. Nothing was more important to him than her.
Sighing, he looked at Harry and Ron. "If you go back up these stairs, your wands are on the floor beside Scabior." The boys nodded eagerly and turned to each other.
"You ready?" Ron asked.
Harry turned around to y/n, to which she looked petrified. "If this goes well, we'll be at The Burrow. Apparate straight back if you need to" He whispered. Y/n nodded and wrapped her arms tightly around her brother's neck. "Keep safe Harry" She said.
The three of them turned to Draco, who held out his wand.
"Stand back."
The Cellar door blew open, causing the walls the crumble and dust. Ron instantly sprinted past Draco and sprinted upstairs, Harry not falling far behind. As soon as Draco heard commotion upstairs, he grabbed y/n hard by the wrist and they ran.
They sprinted up the stairs and ducked behind a marble pillar. As soon as Bellatrix turned her head, Harry fired a hex directly at her. Hexes began to fly around the room from all angles, hitting and missing everybody involved. Draco, still having y/n in his tight grip, ran out of the room, avoiding getting caught by anyone.
Crashing down the hall and up the stairs, the pair accelerated faster than their feet could manage. Not once did he turn around to see if she was even following. As soon as they reached the top, Draco let go of her hand and barged into his room, pushed y/n in and slammed the door shut.
"Colloportus, muffilato" He breathed out. Draco tossed his wand on the floor and turned around.
Where she stood. Breathless, wordless.
Y/n held the gaze too. Not speaking a single word, just simply staring at him.
It felt euphoric to see his face again. Draco Malfoy, stood in front of her, once again. It's like neither of them could speak. Their eyes didn't move once, just strictly on one another. They wouldn't of noticed if the world stopped spinning, they wouldn't of noticed a thing. Their breathing slowed, racing hearts slowed. Just the sound of silence in their ears. No noise, nothing.
Simply nothing. Just him.
Her.
Them.
Together. Again.
